We want to promote the learning and sharing of self portraiture as an art form - our tagline is "Go Beyond the Selfie" - so let's go all-in on making great, high quality art! Jeff Smith62,112Welcome to The Selfy Sunday Project for *December 2/12* _PLEASE NOTE THAT THIS EVENT IS NOT FOR THIS SUNDAY, NOV. 25/12._ Theme: *Bond, James Bond!* I want to see Selfy's that are inspired by *007* and the James Bond films. Lots exotic locations, action packed chases as well as numerous villains and sexy leading ladies to offer inspiration here. Or just stick to a more general "SPY" or cloak and dagger noire theme. Either way it should be fun. _Props may come in handy here!_ ________________________________ The Halloween SSP was the scariest, most ghoulish, terrifying Selfy Sunday ever. Matt Shalvatis33,905This Sunday, November 11th, and every Sunday thereafter, is Sunday Music Mania day.  So what is it?  It’s a day where we share our favorite music with a worldwide G+ audience.  Find your favorite music on YouTube to share!   View last week’s shared playlist here…  http://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLqmb6HZAshGZ5vkoDJUwd1uDL-1vqubQy The Sunday Music Mania Quick Participation Guide! *It takes only five minutes to submit your favorite music!  Here’s what to do…* 1. Go to YouTube and find the song you want to share.  Copy the video’s URL (YouTube address). 2. Go to Google Plus.  Go to your “Share What’s New” box.  Click the video icon, paste in the URL from YouTube.  The video will be inserted into the post. 3. (Optional)  Share some additional information about this song.  Things like Genre (Rock, Country, Classical, etc), language (English, Spanish, etc) whether safe for work or not, and why you like it.   Song title and artist are generally inserted automatically.   4. Add the tag #SundayMusicMania , and +Sunday Music Mania and +Matt Shalvatis.  This is so I and others can find your post, and so you will receive the shared playlist.   5. Add a few circles, click Share and you’re done!   NOTES:  Before you post, you may want to view and listen to a video first, because not all videos are of the same quality.  What really counts here is the audio quality.  Many videos, especially of older songs, don’t really have a video at all.  Sometimes it’s just a 3 minute picture of the album cover.  So go for the good audio and don’t worry about the video portion.  That’s what we’re looking for!   NOTES:  For Listeners and Participants.  Please keep in mind the above are recommendations.  Please do not assume videos that you are not familiar with are automatically “Safe for Work,” even if they say so. *Anything else I should know?* Yes!  Please limit your entries to this theme to once a week.  This theme runs every Sunday; you’ll have plenty of time to submit all your favorites.  *What’s that tag and page again?*  The tag is #SundayMusicMania and +Sunday Music Mania!  Use it and share it! Sunday Music Mania - A Musical Extravaganza! - Week #42012-11-10 23:00:0017

Matt Shalvatis33,905OK, now for something a little bit different!  *Sunday Music Mania - A Musical Extravaganza!*  This Sunday, October 21st, and every Sunday thereafter, is Sunday Music Mania day.  So what is it?  It’s a day where we share our favorite music with a worldwide G+ audience.   *But wait!  Is it really possible to share music on Google Plus, like MP3’s?*   No, no it isn’t.  At least not that I know of.  But there are other alternatives.  The biggest and the best way is YouTube.  While YouTube may not have every song you like, I think I’ve always found whatever song I wanted to hear.  You may too.   *So then, how do I participate?*   Easy.  Just go to YouTube and find the song you want to share.  You may want to view and listen to it first, because not all videos are of the same quality.  What really counts here is the audio quality.  Many videos, especially of older songs, don’t really have a video at all.  Sometimes it’s just a 3 minute picture of the album cover.  So go for the good audio and don’t worry about the video portion.  That’s what we’re looking for!   Then, go to your “Share what’s new” box.  Click the video icon, paste in the URL from YouTube, and if possible, just give your audience a bit more information.  LIke… •  Song Name: •  Artist: •  Genre:  Rock, Country, Classical, Jazz, etc •  Language:  English, Spanish, French, etc •  Safe for work? Not safe for work?  Profanity or nudity could be considered “not safe for work”.   •  Why you like it.  Reminds me of my wedding, or Got me through my divorce, or Always raises my mood, or I just like it.   (For Listeners and Participants.  Please keep in mind the above are recommendations.  Please do not assume videos that you are not familiar with are automatically “Safe for Work,” even if they say so.)   Add the tag #SundayMusicMania, then add +Sunday Music Mania - curated by +Matt Shalvatis, add a few circles (recommended share is Your Circles, Extended Circles, and Public) and click share!   *So, are there bigger plans in store?* You bet there is.  Weekly, I will make a collection of as many songs as allowed, or possible, or feasible, and create a very eclectic playlist over at YouTube, available for your listening pleasure.  And I will share the link here on Google Plus.  The playlist will have songs of many different genres, maybe different languages even, and a mix of old and new.  And definitely a few not so well-known songs.  What will not be included are known NSFW (not safe for work) songs or songs with very narrow appeal.  In the near future, YouTube will allow Google Plus pages to have their own channel on YouTube, or so I’ve heard.  Until that time, the weekly playlist will be posted on my personal YouTube page, with a link here on Google Plus.  So, add me to a circle so you can get the link to this playlist when I post it.  @102239645172983099492  *Anything else I should know?* Yes!  Please limit your entries to this theme to once a week.  This theme runs every SundaySunday Music Mania - A Musical Extravaganza!2012-10-20 23:00:0029
