Web developers: a question! Some pages of my site are indexed on Google by its IP address.
How can I set up the web.config file to redirect those requests to the domain name?

(ETA) Here is the web.config rule that works for me (dummy ip address in example):

Amazon payments sure is buggy, aint it? I have tried several times to submit information to have my account verified, and each time, have gotten a message that verification failed. Then the account is disabled so I can't fix WHATEVER it is that needs fixing!

What's a Hangout: Started with the Message... turned into a Video Call

The New Google Plus Terminology has some of us old timers wondering what happened! So here is a tip on what Hangouts can do now (as it relates to the old way).

This screen shot shows myself and +Paul Simbeck-Hampson in a quick meeting... It started out via a Hangout Message and then we decided to ramp it up a bit and continue it inside a Hangout Video Call... what most of us have been calling a "hangout".

I've noticed that if I leave the Video Call (on purpose or by accident) that I can click on the Green Bar up top of the Hangout Window and get back in (looks and feels like Chat)... not the Video Call window, but the "Hangout" Window!

Yes... this will take some time to get used to!

Bea Arthur topless portrait sells for $2 million. What is even more ridiculous is that the actress did not pose for it. The scammer artist made it up, after Arthur's death. So, the jackass became a millionaire off this while Arthur herself and her heirs did not benefit at all. What a stinking pile of $hit.

My friend Ali Arikan, whom I became acquainted with many years ago via the site Four Word Film Review, shared this link on Facebook. I have been unable to persuade my Four Word Film Review friends to come to Google Plus. This puzzles me, because if they would try it, I think they would like it very much. They like to do something called "FWFR conventions," which is when Fwiffers get together IRL. Why not FWFR Hangouts??? I ask? Alas, they ignore my pleas, those philistines!

BTW, you can toggle from a stream with two columns to a single column stream on Google Plus by clicking the More link to upper right and scrolling down past your circles to "Stream Layout."

CSS to modify text-boxes of jQuery editInPlace.

I've been using editinplace in a project, and I wanted to be able to modify the widths and heights of the text-boxes that appear when you click on a div to edit the contents. ( http://code.google.com/p/jquery-in-place-editor/ )

After poking around for awhile, I found that the class of the inputs is "inplace_field." Those can be modified as follows:

I was happy to read that these animals' have been moved to better homes. No surprise that meth was found during the seizure.

My junior white buck, Moirai Lutece was 2nd runner-up to Best In Show at the Three Corners rabbit show A today. He was selected BOB English Angora by judge Vic Vogts, and awarded 2nd runner-up by Don Jackson.

My daughter +Georgia Schafer's doe Moirai Liz was Connall Addison's choice for EA BOB in show B.

Both judges said they appreciated such well groomed Angoras.

and for classic ASP (I know, I know) it is
response.write HTTP_X_ORIGINAL_URL

SEO question: Let's say you want to have multiple distinct sites (with somewhat related subject matter) on a single domain.
Is it better to have them set up as subdomain.maindomain.ext, or maindomain.ext/subfolder/ ?

Well my barn kitty has a litter of kittens only a few days old, and thought she had moved them so I went and looked in the box and this is what I find! I think the writer knew in his rational mind that circumcision of an infant is cruel and unnecessary, but that his conditioning to conform with his community's expectations led him to make the irrational choice to let his child be harmed, despite his love and devotion for the child. This shows us how powerful is the urge to conform even when against our better judgement. I also find it interesting that the father was mindful of his own pain rather than the child's.

Why is it a good idea for a 14 year old girl to wear a strapless gown?
Yeah, I do think it is lame-brained to say that the style shouldn't be allowed because of the effect it would have on the boys. It should be sufficient that it is simply inappropriate and bad taste for a minor child to dress immodestly.  Now go out there and rock those straps, sweethearts!
