Tree Line, Ittre, Belgium
Here's something along the lines I usually photograph. It's weird. For some reason I am addicted to these very simple scenes. Tree lines are subjects that fascinate me for some reason. I really don't know why.
The story behind this one goes something like this. This too was photographed while hanging out with +Didier Demaret. It was still raining (see previous post, which was photographed later that day). Half an hour or so before I had photographed something with the Noblex panoramic camera. When I wanted to dig out the good old spotmeter to meter this scene. I couldn't find it. It was in my other bag. Which was now 30min away in the car.
So I basically had to guess. Guessing is a big word. I knew the light didn't dramatically change in the last hour or so but I was nonetheless missing my meter. As a result this ... more »

Two Trees, One Bird
Here's one form my outing with +Didier Demaret . Such a funny story behind this one.
Didier took me out on a day of sight seeing around the town he lives in. Of course it had to rain that day. Ugh.
After a bit of a hike along side muddy fields and pastures we came acros this scene. Two beautiful trees on the opposite side of the field we were walking along side of. The rain simplified the background really well. Rain curtains tend to do that.
So I screwed on the Vivitar 2x and the longest lens I brought with me (looked through the viewfinder) and then I saw this. I turn to Didier and say 'dude there's a bird in between the two trees'.
