I'm giving up on The Paris Wife.  It's been so popular & I was glad when my f2f book club chose it, but .... I can't maintain any interest in it and find myself dreading having to pick it up and read more.
I'm bored of these two miserable, whiney, got-nothing-to-do-in-Paris people.

People on Facebook don't talk about Facebook all day.
They don't navel gaze about the network/platform. They use it. They post about their lives and their friends and all the good and the bad crap that they share.

4. There is more to G+ than cats. 
5. How much do you know about the people you circle?

The line for the cable car at Powell was amazingly long. Hours and hours but we had fun. Plenty of street performers, tourists to talk to and coffee. My favorite was this old Bluesman -- he was still there that evening when we came back. Still singing about his small bottle of wine and his big, big woman.
Mostly I wanted to share his sign: got him some bigger tips.

Company came and we spent a great day in Marysville and Nevada City, CA.  Shopping, eating & seeing a great play full of jokes & rock 'n' roll. 

Weather was lovely, browsed 3 book stores, looked at a ton of shoes and talked to quite a lot of people. 
Mostly ate, though.  I forgot to take a photo of the giant salad that was lunch or the incredible Peanut Butter Pie served at intermission at Off Broadstreet.

I may never eat again.  sigh

This morning, before 7, I spilled coffee on this laptop.  (it's working fine)
About 20 minutes ago I was putting away dishes and bounced a sugar bowl onto the counter and the floor.  (who the HECK has a sugar bowl anyway?)

Question Is:   does the fender bender I saw happen while merging onto the little bridge count as my third accident today or do I still need to be watching my every move?

I've been getting a pedicure every month for a couple years.   It's lovely -- a massage and oils on calves and feet plus a pretty new color.  I prefer greens and blues.

And what makes this post Google+ worthy you ask?  Well I'll tell you:  every single time she finishes, she leans down over my feet (close up) and talks baby talk to my toes.
"Ohhhh, widdle toesies so cutie, happy toesies" etc

Reading this now.  Sometimes a novel is written so well I just fall into it like a feather bed.  It's almost breathtaking, the way the words and sentences flow.
I read Angle of Repose a few years ago, which won the Pulitzer; this is every bit as good.
