This is a picture I took tonight after sunset.  Unfortunately, I didn't get here til 30 minutes after sunset, because I was working, thankfully there was still plenty of good light.  Edited in a graduated filter from the top to the middle to darken the sky and one from the bottom to the middle to lighten the foreground subjects.  Edmonds, WA- USA

My favorite photo of our trip to Maui in January.  Had to edit out an older couple, but I think it turned out really good.  Got a nice big canvas for my wall.  Love the colors and can't wait to go back.

Black Rock, Kaanapali Maui.  Love the colors in the sky, in the water.  Wish I could be there still.

My Wife and I just got home from a wonderful 10 days on Maui.  We made the trek to Hana one day to see the 7 sacred pools, but we couldn't swim in them because of flash flood warnings or something, but we did stop by a amazing black sand beach on our way back.  That was a really cool experience.

We went to a wedding today and while we weren't the photographers, I had my wife take some photos and looking through them, (the remembering past wedding's I've done). The tuxes are so dark that the guys where.  While I shoot in raw and import to lightroom3.  Tonight I noticed if I move my tone curve to linear and pull the blacks to zero (on the basics page) they seem to have more definition.  It seems backwards to me.  I was just curious what others do to help bring out the tuxes (otherwise it looks just black).

I am lucky enough to get to go to Maui soon, I was wondering if anyone had any tips on where to shoot, or suggestions on getting memorable vacation photos.  We will be staying on the northwest part of the island.  I am renting a canon 24-105F4L lens to be the only lens I take.  Thanks :)

#SunsetSaturday
Took these photos of the sunset in June. I really like the one with the sun in it and I really like the one with the sailboat in it, I just wish I would have been able to get one with both, but the sailboat wasn't moving fast enough. Only edits were removing some buoys and stuff in the water.

Everytime I look at it I think of the Scene in Star wars where they talk about putting the x-wings into attack position. This eagle is going in for the kill.
