Copyright logic according to youtube

I just posted a 2 minute videoclip of the opening of one of my favorite films, stating what film it was from and how everyone should see it. If that is not free advertising, please tell me what free advertising is.

But then someone mentioned that they got a message that due to a copyright infraction, the video had been removed. It was not a country centric thing. The video had been removed. Only I could see it as I had uploaded the video a couple of years ago.
