Imported to LR4 and opened in Color Efex Pro2 using tonal Contrast filter. Then to Silver Efex Pro2 to convert to monochrome. Back to LR, bumped up exposure to make presentable on G+.

Canon 5dmkii Iso 100, 28mm, 1/350 @ f/9.5 Circular Polarizer filter.

In CS 6 used curves adjustment layer in luminosity blend mode to bring up contrast then dodged the ocean to bring up color. Used content aware fill tool to remove buoys and markers in water. Exported to G+

Imported RAW file to LR4 opened in Color Efex Pro 4 and used Tonal Contrast filter in default settings, opened in SEP 2 and used Underexpose (EV -1) preset as is, then to Photoshop CS6 removed dust bunnies, used curves adjustment layer to darken image and dodged buildings. Back to LR 4 and lightened entire image 1/2 stop because G+ darkens images of mine when importing them.

Sent to Color Efex Pro 2 and used Tonal Contrast filter with default settings. Back to LR4 and pulled down highlights (-57) and bumped up exposure (+.55). Exported to G+.

Good morning Googlesters and my Breakfast Club friends. This is E. Bay Street in Savannah, Georgia on a cold morning earlier this month. We're having grits today, it's a Southern tradition. I like them with brown sugar.

Imported RAW file to LR 4 and opened in Silver Efex Pro 2 as TIFF file (with ProPhoto RGB, 16 bit depth, 240 resolution and no compression as default settings) and chose Push Process (N +3) preset in default settings. Back to LR4 removed dust bunny (always check for these and remove them...it's so much more professional) bumped up exposure 1/2 stop, blacks +36 and clarity +18. Exported to G+

In LR 4 used Adjustment brush to dodge and burn road a little. Exported to G+.

This is Honey Run Falls yesterday...some water, not a lot we are still in a major drought.

Canon 5DMKII ISO 250, 22mm, f/11.0@1.5sec., CP and 3 stop ND filters

Imported to LR4 and opened on Color Efex Pro as Tiff file using ProRGB colorspace. Used Tonal contrast filter in default settings on water only to get some separation in the stream. Sent to PS6 and removed unwanted ice formations which were too bright and distracting. Back to LR4 and used adjustment brush to burn the leaves on right of image (-1.5 stops). Exported to G+.

Hi, everybody, this is Cedar Falls in the Hocking Hills area near Columbus, Ohio.

Imported into LR4 and opened in PS6 general maintenance removing bright spots with Content Aware Fill, sent to Color Efex Pro4 and used Tonal Contrast filter at default settings, but zeroed out effect for all of image but tree limbs on right...they needed contrast. Back to LR4 bumped up exposure almost 1 1/2 stops so it would not display too dark in Google added tiny vignette. Exported.

Imported raw file to LR4 exported as Tiff to PS6 removed some branches in pool just right of falls, then sent to Color Efex Pro 4 and used default Tonal Contrast filter to sharpen edges...then opened in Silver Efex Pro 2 and used neutral preset to convert to b/w. Back to LR and used adjustment brush to tone down rocks right and left of falls and to enhance dimensional lines in foreground water. Export to G+.

Good morning GooglePlussers from rainy and misty Oregon. This is Middle North Falls in Silver Falls State Park.

The usual blah, blah, blah in processing...except experimented with the Tonal Contrast filter in Color Efex Pro before converting to black and white. This gave me the contrast that was missing because of the mist and fog. Special thanks to my friend +George Gasser for pointing out contrast problems in a private post.

Joshua Tree National Park in southern California.

Canon 5D MKII iso 100, 24mm, f/9.5@1/180 sec

As usual I imported the raw file to LR4. I use raw because it contains all the unedited information in the file. If you shoot jpeg your camera processed the image. You can dictate the settings, but the camera's processor is not as powerful as your computer.
Then opened image in CS6 and did a levels adjustment to increase contrast. Brought the white slider to the base of the pixel mountain and the black slider to 10.
Back to LR4 and then to Silver Efex Pro 2 where I chose High Structure (Harsh) preset. Then back to LR4 and exported to G+. Less than 5 minutes spent processing.

Desert morning

Good morning from the Joshua Tree National Park in sunny and warm California. I am here in Palm Springs as a volunteer for the PGA Qualifying School so I don't have as much time as I would like for photography, but I hope you like what I have chosen today.

Canon 5D MKII iso 100, 24mm, f/8.0@1/180 sec

Imported raw file to Lightroom 4, opened in Silver Efex Pro2 and chose preset High Structure (smooth) which really brought out the sun star. Saved to LR4 and did a (-33) vignette. Cleaned my sensor so no dust bunnies to remove. I use Visible Dust's Arctic Butterfly. Highly recommended.
