Good article by +Craig Nevill-Manning and he hits the nail on the head when he talks about how high schools teach "computer science" and it's more about spreadsheets and word processing than computer science.  We struck that here with my daughter.  So glad that classes like Harvard's CS50x are available for her.

 Yay! Finished my CS50x Final Project.  Video was limited to 2 minutes so I couldn't show everything.  It's only running locally on my Mac so you can't try it yourself, sorry.  :)  If anyone's looking for a great Intro to Computer Science class, I'd really recommend CS50x.  It will be offered again this October afaik.
