Hubble Space Telescope Celebrates 23 Years In Space!

Wow, I feel old having said that.  The Hubble Space Telescope has been a workhorse of an observatory, and has given us countless thousands of great images. 

This image of the Horsehead Nebula was taken to help celebrate the 23rd anniversary of HST being flown into space by space shuttle Discovery on April 24th 1990.

Hi folks!

This saturday, I made a visit at the "Hammerschmiede" in Zorge, Germany. The Hammerschmiede is the home of one of Germany's whiskies. it is called  "The Glen Els", because of the near "Elsbach", which provides the water for the making of the whisky.

The whisky is produced and stored in an old community centre. The storage rooms do have a certain climate, which would make the spirit work very much in the casks. The casks they use are almost exclusively winecasks, fortified and nonfortified wines to be exact. The whisky is matured between 3 and 5 years, which maybe considered very young for a whisky.
The unsteady climate in the "warehouse" (around 0 degree Celsius in winter and plus 35 degree in summer) seems to work well with the whisky, for me it is pretty mature, but surely not "old".
