OK - this is fairly impressive.
Can anyone explain the physics of what we're seeing here?
Do they synchronize BECAUSE the table moves, or does the table move because the metronomes are imparting kinetic energy to the table?
Would we see the same effect on a more solid table/surface?

Some incontrovertible evidence that golf is, in fact, a contact sport....
My fault - I had moved about 30 metres past the perpetrator as he was making a club choice, because my ball was in the rough on the bank ahead and I wanted to get a head start in looking for it (I found it by the way).
I climbed the bank to the point where I had seen my ball go in and then realised my friend was about to hit his ball and I was in line with the green. So I stopped looking and moved a bit further up the bank while watching my friend.
He struck the ball well - and I was so impressed, I didn't recognise that the ball was coming straight at me until it was too late!! It smarted a bit!
He now blames me for doing him out of a chance for par on that hole!!
I guess there's a good reason for standing behind the hitter of a golf ball...

I was inspired by my daughter - who was home for a few days from university earlier this week.
She did some baking, including my favourite: Ginger Crunch.
Unfortunately my son got to most of her batch before me, so I have whipped up a batch of my own this afternoon...

Watched an episode of Big Bang Theory recently with Raj falling in love with Siri on his new iPhone.

I notice that whenever I visit the Android Market Google Play, I am advised whether the app I'm looking at is compatible with my Android devices (which is a great feature - I have two: my current phone and a Transformer).
However it also lists a phone which I no longer have. Not a big deal, but I'm a pedantic bugger and like things to be correct! :)
Can anyone advise how to edit this list of devices?

A cool tuna sculpture on Auckland's waterfront (outside the Maritime Museum).
Made from flipflops ("jandals" in kiwi-speak) and the odd flipper. Apparently these were all washed up on a beach somewhere (South America?)... Quite large too at about 8 feet long.
There's another one just behind it made from old (rusty) tin cans with similar provenance, but it wasn't as striking as this one...

Just watched Skyline today (I know, It's been out for a while). The only saving grace for me was Scottie Thompson, looking gorgeous throughout and Donald Faison (because I like him in Scrubs).
The storyline was weak (and confusing), the dialogue was predictable and the special effects weren't....
