This popped up on FB this morning. It's been over a year since I started the home campaign. Lot of turnover in players but it's been fun.

At least I think so. :)

I can't tell you how much I love the fact that, at the store where we play D&D and have gotten a lot of flak for it from the MTG people (good natured) we now have 5 MTG players that have switched to playing D&D :)

All of which will have huge impact.

This is why I hate media outlets. What the hell does him being from a 'Montana Trailer Park' have to do with anything other he lived there for all of ~20 years.

Plus, what does any of that have to do with the science? Nothing. Except to 'spark up' the headline.

::sigh::

Here's a 'pro tip' for recruiters: Make sure your freaking email address works before you start sending out inquiries. If I get a 'no such sender' back from hitting reply to your email, you are going straight into the trash in the future.

That said, if it was working and you were fired and your email deleted in the 30 seconds it took for you to send and me to reply.... all I can say is 'Good Luck'. Because that is some master level firing right there.

This. Looks. Awesome. The fight scenes... sliding across the room on the shield... wow!

That said, after BvS and Suicide Squad I'm not holding my breath.

Also, the trailer for Justice League looks stupid. I take that back, it looks so lame that, if the trailers are the best parts of a movie, this movie is in serious trouble.

My 12 year old niece could have done a better job with crayons and duct tape.

I'll be honest, thus far the week has been less than ideal. Spent all day in various doctors offices (yay, no cancer for Beck!), yesterday was spent in meetings trying to deal with a personal issue at work, today has been spend trying to diagnose a server issue that makes no fraking sense.

None!

So here is all I have for IT for the last three days:

1. Trees with leaves that change color with the wind.
2. Squirrel taxidermists.

Sorry. I promise to do better. Eventually.

So let's see; Iron Man, Captain America, Avengers, Thor, Ant-Man, Guardians, Daredevil, Jessica Jones, Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., Doctor Strange, and now Spider-Man, Luke Cage, and Iron Fist.

I will say this, when Marvel finally falls (because everything ends) it's going to be epic.

Until then, the ride is awesome.

Saw Suicide Squad last night. As I suspected, I'm not a fan of Leto's Joker.

Harley is spot on, but I wish she had been the current version, not the Joker obsessed one.

The rest is, well... forgettable. Croc was okay, Boomerang was... Boomerang (still one of the ten dumbest characters IMHO)

Deadshot had too much screen time, but then again it was Will Smith so it's to be expected.

The story was weak and the premise is kind of based on knowing the events of BvS. Which threw me for the first few minutes.

Honestly I'd give it 2/5. Mostly because Harley was awesome (even though she seemed to switch accents for no reason) .

I was going to give it a 3 but the Joker really bugs me. That and the "goodness" of the bad guys.

This is Sammy.

No, he isn't dead. He is in fact getting a hair cut. While cutting his back and shoulders he struggles and generally doesn't like what I'm doing.

That said, once the back is done I flip him over and do his belly and legs and etc..

He is currently snoring while I shave his hind quarters.

So I had someone describe my, shall we say 'memory issues', in a manner I found amusing.

They said, "I've known you a while and seen what you can do sometimes. And what you can't. It's like you have a perfect memory but some of the files have a different encryption on them. That changes randomly."

I like that description :)

To summarize my weekend:

1. Lots of pain. Because we were pretty much constantly on the verge of rain but never.....quite..... got any. Until it sprinkled Sunday. So all my injuries were in full force.

2. #1 coupled with my stress levels being high because of work stuff and being 'peopled out' meant I had to miss hanging out with +Bliss Morgan and her family. Being around that many 'strangers' would have sent my anxiety through the roof :(

3. I found out after ~18 years of marriage and ~20 years of living together my wife hates jambalaya. Specifically Andouille sausage (she said it tasted like dirty feet). I didn't learn this until after making a gigantic pot of it.

4. I am very okay with the outcome of #3. Means that much more for me :)

So I starting back running again yesterday. First time in almost 2 years (for those playing the home game, I stopped when my mom passed).

I jogged/walked (using the Couch to 5K app) 1.73 miles. But I did it. And I was actually proud of myself.

Today we played wiffle ball at lunch.

My legs hate me.

So back in early to mid spring we planted a couple bushes called Dappled Willow. They get medium sized and have leaves that are light green to white. We planted them in a place to 'hide' the woods, but mostly because the dark woods would offset the color of the leaves.

Well, the rabbits were grateful for the new flavored snack. :/

So I bought some stuff to spray around the area to keep rabbits, deer, woodchuck, raccoons, skunks, etc. away.

The photos below are evidence of how well that worked ;)

I can neither confirm nor deny I have actually done this, but with the genders reversed.

(though it wouldn't be too hard to figure it out....)

Proud and inspired by my niece Ashley. She wrote AND directed (first time for both) a play about a young girl escaping the pain of her mother dying by drawing super heros.

The story was very emotional and filled with metaphors that completely caught me off guard and had me thinking about losing my mom a year and a half ago.

Mush deeper and stronger than I would have imagined coming from a 15yo who hasn't experienced that kind of loss yet.

We have this Sparrow at work that will attack the passenger side mirror of almost any vehicle that parks in a certain part of the lot.

I say 'almost' because he doesn't do it on my Jeep. Instead he side on the passenger side front fender well and pecks at his reflection in the hood.

Quality isn't great because I had to stand a good ways off and zoom in, but you should get the idea of what he's doing :)

Adventures in D&D

So the party made it to the city and got the Princess home. Her parents asked the group to help out in trying to uncover who and what the threat against the royal family is and why.

[Fast forward]

After acquiring two new party members they finally get to the supposed bad guys hide out.

One person turns invisible and sneaks in through the front door. The new monk/rogue climbs up on the roof and spots a skylight, calling up the gadgeteer to help.

Said gadgeteer proceeds to break the glass in the skylight and drops in 3 big bombs.

Killing all 8 people inside and almost killing the new cleric (missed by 2 points). Almost destroyed all the evidence, clues, hints and everything else they needed to move forward.

O.o

As the DM, I am so screwed. This thing is completely off the rails ;)
