Jo Mills3,997Did you not mark your calendars? Shame, shame. Last year +Scott Cramer dared me to sit under my desk at work and share a picture; I did, he reshared and viral chaos ensued ;P It was so much fun that we decided to make it an annual event, so get under your desk (or kitchen table or coffee table), take a pic and post it on G+ with the ridiculously long hashtag #InternationalTakeAPictureUnderYourDeskDay ! And, mind your noggin. Last year some companies even got their whole office involved; along with kids and pets - sitting under your desk is for everyone ;P It's Friday. You aren't really working anyway. Andrij “Andrew” Harasewych465,552It's been a pretty disappointing year for some of us, celestial sights wise. There have been the usual meteor showers (it was cloudy for me every time), the transit of Venus (also cloudy) and several eclipses (none were visible from my area). Luckily, we still have the Geminids left. They're generally considered to be one of the best and most reliable meteor showers of the year, so hopefully we'll get a good show. They will appear to radiate from the constellation of Gemini, and you could spot up to 120 meteors per hour. The moon will be new meaning that visibility should be very good. Although Dec 13th-14th is the peak, meteors will be visible for several days before and after that so don't forget to look up this week. As usual, if you get any good photographs/videos please send them our way!Geminid Meteor Shower2012-12-14 00:00:00161

Good mornthing!

It is raining. This does not, in fact, ruin vacation. It meant I got to laze beneath smooth sheets in a soft, warm bed and snuggle against cuddly boyfriend while rain fell outside the window above our heads. It also means, apparently, that the air is going to be really moist and helpful as we make drums today.

Oh! We're making drums today! I have never done this before, and am super excited. Perhaps I shall remember to post pictures later. If not, but you want to see, feel free to remind me.

So... there are cats here. There are FIVE cats here and they are pretty much all awesome. And pretty much every night there has been a cat in the bedroom when we went in there to sleep, and we've just left the door propped open to let them come and go. Last night, however, we were feeling kinda... amorous. Nobody emerged from under the bed when we went in... more »

YOU GUYS and especially +Amanda Rachelle Warren -
Indian University's greenhouse has a Titan Arum, or Corpseflower, and it is blooming tonight for the first time!
AND YOU CAN WATCH IT ON WEBCAM!
http://www.indiana.edu/~video/stream/liveflash.html?filename=corpse_flower

It is known as "titan arum" (due to its large size) or "corpse flower" because for a short period of time while in bloom, it produces the odor of a rotting animal.

The late Greg Speichert, former director of the Hilltop Garden and Nature Center at IU, donated the titan arum to IU in December 2007. It takes 8 to 20 years for the titan arum to produce its first bloom. It then flowers approximately every three years if conditions are right. The bloom lasts only 24 to 36 hours.

Good mornthing!

I have long held that french fries cannot be satisfactorily reheated. After all, they're full of oil, they come home, they get cold, they go in the fridge and get positively mushy, and then throwing them in the microwave just leaves you with a pile of hot oily potato.

But I was wrong.

The cheese-fries-sans-cheese that SALM brought home last night went into the fridge. This morning, I tumbled them out into our smaller cast iron skillet, gave it a shake to settle them evenly, and turned on the broiler. I set it in the oven, and while the fries heated up to crispness I took a knob of fresh mozzerella and obliterated it into a pile of... not exactly shreds, but curds isn't the right word either. Regardless, I broke it down from one big lump into a pile of small lumps, and when the fries were hot and sizzling, I pulled the skillet out, covered the... more »

Regardless, I broke it down from one big lump into a pile of small lumps, and when the fries were hot and sizzling, I pulled the skillet out, covered the fries in freshly obliterated fresh mozz, and stuck it back in under the broiler for a couple of minutes. I am now nibbling the cheese fries straight out of the skillet. The fries are the right amount of crisp, the cheese is melty and stretchy and the right amount of salty, and my mouth and heart are pleased.

Note to Self: No matter how awful something may seem, it is entirely possible that a glass of wine and a good night's sleep will allow my brain to reconsider and find a way the next day.

It also amuses me to be eating fries for a belated breakfast on Friday. Friday Fry-Day!

Today's goals are actually quite simple since I overdid it so much yesterday; work on the beginning of a new RP/story with someone on a forum site, and record the rest of the chapters +Nobilis Reed sent me.

No going outside if I can avoid it, because it is hot out there. The A/Cs are doing their thing at both ends of the house.

Depending on whether or not SALM has any plans for our Friday evening, I may hold a Hangout tonight. Writing hangout? Chatting and thingmakery? Hangouts Against Humanity? IDK. But if I have one, do you want in? And what flavor hangout are you interested in?

I did too much today. I know this because SALM texted me he was bringing home a steak bomb and cheese fries, and by the time he got home the steak bomb was cold and he'd eaten all the cheese off the fries, and I cried like a little bitch.

Good mornthing!

I am already prickly because of pain, and now I am even more cranky because I'd nearly finished typing my post and my hand bumped the trackpad, which decided that meant I was trying to click a button in the bookmark bar and took me away from the Ploos, obliterating my entire post.

But hey, here's a picture of me and my hair doing the Barbizon Flip that always seemed like the height of cool in my misbegotten youth.

I got to spend some time today in a Hangout with +Murphy Jacobs, catching up on this, that, and the other thing, and that was pretty great. Now we both need to be Responsible Adults, though.

My Responsible Adult-ing today includes in no small part an attempt to balance the insistence that I Household Fairy a bunch of things into tidiness versus the insistence that I Do Nothing That Will Hurt Me Worse. Like I said, I'm prickly because of pain; I awoke with my shoulder aching, and my neck hurting. The neck stuff seems to have subsided down into my upper back, but my shoulder is getting a hot sensation not unlike it used to when I was pitching and developed tendinitis. I haven't been doing much yet today though, just a little knitting plus this typing. I am going to at least tidy a little bit, largely stuff that won't strain that shoulder, which means the living room.

Therefore:
- put away the knitting project, esp. all the loose balls of yarn, into their bag, and tuck it on the shelf under the coffee table when not in use
- put away the three stacks of books that have collected on the coffee table in the last three weeks (some from Murphy); mine will probably go to the basement, and the kids' to their rooms
- put away the typewriter in its case, and tuck it on the shelf under the coffee table
- put the spindle of blank CDs on my desk (must check and see if I have any Gorillaz songs in my external HD, and if so, must make a CD for SALM)
- put away the two boxen of stuffandthings, one of which is a box of interesting project destash from +Amanda Rachelle Warren and the other of which includes a fountain pen, a checkbook, a collection of wood-handled small crochet hooks, and a copy of +Allyson Whipple's book of poetry Come Into The World Like That ( http://amzn.to/2ahlODJ )

Pretty much all of that I can do one-handed if I am patient, except the typewriter, which is heavy. I'll only need two hands to lift it into its case, though. Then I can hoist it with my off-hand and slide it onto the shelf under the coffee table.

SALM and I are at odds about the coffee table right now. I am a big fan of having one; I like having a surface in the middle of the room for holding cups and plates when we have food or beverage in here, and it's an excellent spot for board games, LEGO building, and various art projects. SALM does not like that it tends to be a stuff-catcher, though, and wants to move the table to the basement. I contend that it won't really get proper use in the basement until/after we build the bookshelves down there and move the papasan chair to create a reading area, and even then the basement isn't really liveable for at least a third of the year due to cold. He wants open space in the middle of the living room, and I don't understand why.

Anyway, time for some Responsible Adulting, and then down to the basement. I'm going to attempt to haul the dehumidifier bucket out to water what is left of my garden; the landscapers came yesterday and, even though they left it alone their previous two visits, this time apparently they decided it was a good idea to weedwhack down half my bean plants. I'm kind of pissed.

Maybe I won't fucking bother. Maybe the Universe doesn't want me to grow my own fucking beans and squash this year.

Speaking of fucking, I have three more chapters to record for +Nobilis Reed 's Bra of Holding. WOO!

Ugh. I am cranky and ow.

I hear some writers saying that they don’t read because they don’t want other writers to affect their voice, but that’s crap. If you want to write, you need to read, and if you read, some of those authors’ voices are going to bleed into yours. That’s how you develop your own voice—we’re all Frankenstein’s monster, all of us, we’re all the culmination of everything that came before us.

If you neglect your inspiration, you’re going to write things that are already written and convince yourself you were the first to write them…or worse, you’ll write something bland and uncompelling that came from an uninspired place.

Read. Read widely. Read novels. Read short stories. Read poems. Read newspapers. Read the backs of shampoo bottles. Absorb them all and incorporate them into yourself. If you only read one author, you’ll only have one voice. If you read fiftyauthors, you’ll have fift... more »

Good Mornthing!

Y'know, I had plans for today. I was gonna tidy up like a motherfucker. I was gonna Get Shit Done. I was going to fold, and hang, and put it all away. I was going to make the bedroom clean, dammit!

But then SALM and I were riding home from seeing Ghostbusters last night (Spoiler: LOVED IT) with the windows open. I, like ya do, had my arm draped out the window. And SALM, being still VERY used to being Man On His Own and not having to, y'known, mention things to people before he does them, hit the buttons to roll up the front windows. But my arm was out. The window itself didn't actually hurt me, but I jerked my arm up and in so fast that I have managed to pull a zodcram muscled.

I was mostly decent to it last night, being careful not to lift to much or strain it, but then when we were saving the world there was a point at which a hand simply... more »

I was mostly decent to it last night, being careful not to lift to much or strain it, but then when we were saving the world there was a point at which a hand simply HAD to be planted against the wall to push and, well... I think I made things worse. I managed to sleep okay, because SALM brought me water and ibuprofen, but now I am away and have a little rope of ow from my right tricep, up through the back of my shoulder, into my neck. There's some related ow radiating through my upper back, around the scapula - probably due to the strain of holding my arm weird in the process of trying to NOT hold it weird.

BLARG.

So instead of being a good little housewife, I am going to be a good little Voice Actress. I am going to escape into the cool-and-quiet of the basement, with my snowball mic and my bottle of extremely cheap wine, because SALM spotted me the three bucks. I am going to throw down on a chapter of Bra of Holding. Then I'm probably going to write some porn. Then maybe do another chapter, depending how my voice holds up.

Damn this fragile body. WE ARE SACKS OF MEATSQUISH WITH BONES IN!

Good mornthing!

...ish. Did some dishes, and I'm going to litter fairy and tidy up, but first a trip to the post office to check my box and see if anybody's slipped something into it (hurrhurr), and to the bank to get a bucket of change turned into folding money.

I continue to be off-kilter in a non-physical way. I'm working on it. Which means some more research, and some other stuff... neh. Maybe I'll post about those shenanigans later.

I will post to #PromptsAndCircumstance  shortly. For now... tell me something beautiful?

So there I was on Amazon looking for coffin flash drives/USB thumb drives (Don't give me that look, it started with +Amanda Rachelle Warren and is a thing, dammit) and what did I find?

No coffin drives, for one thing. For another, delivery-by-mail tubes of antibodies. LOLwhut? http://amzn.to/2abNYjI

They are in Industrial and Scientific so I can only assume they are meant to be used #ForScience !

But LOL this one http://amzn.to/2a7PJe4 is called MTHFR antibody. That means it is now officially the MOTHERFUCKER ANTIBODY in my head, and nobody can tell me different. (The info says it is reactive for both humans and rats, which confirms that, while some rats are excellent pets and companions, other rats are just straight-up motherfuckers.)

Good Mornthing!

There is nothing like some worldsaving, a night of really good sleep, a hot shower, and a comfy outfit to make one feel ready to wrestle a bear and do ALL THE THINGS!

I am forcing myself to be reasonable, though. Today shall hopefully include:

- researching chakras
- recording a chapter of Bra of Holding for +Nobilis Reed
- logging all my Vacationland notes into Google Drive
- inviting some folks into my Vacationland shenanigans
- cleaning the bathroom floor

Things I also want to do, but they will probably slide:
- hang my drum (need hardware from Home Depot)
- hang my hammock (see above)
- sand my hairsticks (Ditto)
- set up a compost (Are you catching a theme here?)
- pin my dress pieces to the muslin (Need pins from +Jo-Ann Fabric and Craft Stores )

- Read some of that book I promised to read/review by early August
- Laundry
- basement cleanup/out shenanigans

Sometimes when I post my regular to-do lists, people tell me my day is so busy. This makes me laugh, because I always feel like my day could be busier.

This I will also be doing that aren't on the list:
- chilling on the intertubes
- searching for my box of pagan fuckery
- crocheting maybe? Or watching more Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.?
- stuff and thing

I have started my day off with breakfast. It's only a bagel, and I've only eaten half, but I am trying to get myself in the habit of starting my daily journey with food. I've gotten too used to just throwing down a cup of coffee and trying to zoomzoom, and I think that hasn't been helping me, lately.

Hey. Hi.

Good mornthing!

Y'know, I love all the time I got to spend with all the amazing people I visited over the last two weeks, but there's something great about getting home and settling back into my own space at my own pace. This morning I pan-steamed some julienned summer squash, from the Cardinal Cove garden, in the reserved juices left over from last night's bourbon steak tips. SO GOOD. There is coffee brewing in the french press. There is Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. on the Netflix and, while there is stuff that needs tidying and putting away... I don't have to do that right now.

I don't hit this brainspace much. I kind of like it.

Hey - it seems somehow trivial to be promoting my writing, but given how full of hatefulness everything political has turned into, here's a chance to answer a little quiz and have a chance to win some lovely ceramic work.

Deadline is August 1. The questions are fun. Or at least not deadly serious. And that's something we need more of right now.

Good Mornthing!

It is my last day at Bag End, but last day is starting out excellently. There is coffee for the drinking, and James Bond for the watching. I haven't seen You Only Live Twice in a long time, but it's like stepping into an old friend.

...you know what I mean.

Movie and coffee and pancakes, and then a sad parting of ways and a bit of a drive... and then I get to meet +Julia Thompson and +Penax Purfuver ! Shenanigas in the city! WOO!

Not looking forward to the driving bit, but you gotta do what you gotta do when you don't have a teleporter.

#FreeBook  from +Daniel Swensen to you on the occasion of his birthday! You should get it. And read it. And thank him by putting a review up in the internets where people will see it. :D

It's my birthday, so I'm giving away my book today. My fantasy novel, Orison, is free today only at the Nine Muse Press store! The file is a zip containing the book in .mobi, epub, and PDF formats. Here's what people have to say about the book:

"Orison is a wonderfully written fantasy novel that interweaves the perspective of three great characters: a thief named Story, a banished wizard named Wrynn, and a guard of the queen named Ashen. Each of these characters struggles to navigate the dangers of a city fraught with conspiracies of powerful people who have no qualms about using Story, Wrynn, and Ashen as disposable pawns. Orison is an engaging novel with complex characters that leave me hoping that Swensen will be writing more."

"I've been waiting for a fantasy book like this since I finished Jim Butcher's 'Codex Alera.'"

"Daniel Swensen creates a world and a city that is vivid and a cast of characters that are easy to like and understand. I stood with Story, the protagonist, on the roof tops of Calushain and we watched the mischief below as if it had been painted by Picasso."

"This book is exactly what I love about writing. I love how Swensen just gets into the world seamlessly, where I just felt it was normal. Story, the MC, is a girl that I can see pieces of myself in and is truly someone I want to root for. I loved the pace of the story and the overall development of the different story lines. Once I got past the first chapter, I was hooked and finished the book in a few days."

Please spread the word if you're so inclined! Thanks!

Good Mornthing!

I am at Casa Del Haicken and we have only just started to get caffeinated!

Yes, really.

Some of the SCAdians among you with particularly discerning eyes may have already spotted the scrolls on the wall behind us; there are actually five of them there, total, but three are hidden behind our silly, silly heads.

It is Thursday in Blisstopia, and the plan is... not very planny? I'm internetting a little while Mister H does a thing, after which we are going to go visit the local British Store, and I'm hoping they'll have tea like my packet of Sainsbury tea, of which I am almost out.

And then... maybe we will lay in the sun and read? I'm working my way through The Grand Sophy ( http://amzn.to/29WfIv7 ) by Georgette Heyer, and finding it delightful. Lilli, meanwhile, zoomed right through A Duke's Temptation (... more »

Lilli, meanwhile, zoomed right through A Duke's Temptation ( http://amzn.to/29WeGzn ) and we have hit upon the idea of writing a little note in the back with our email addresses, exhorting future readers of this copy to, if they liked it, email us for fellow reader-squee, and if they wish to also add their emails before handing the book along.

Maybe I will work on fleshing out some of my notes for Vacationland? My aim is to not only have it as a series of vaguely interrelated short stories, but to invite several other authors to also write something for inclusion in the Vacationland anthology as well, to which end I want to have a decent sort of World Bible for them to be able to reference.

My beaded crochet project, a book, and my notebook and pen are all coming with me. ...as are more ideas about Vacationland. Not only do I now have two pages of notes in brief (And I must remember to write down the thing about the Time Cairn), but I figured out what the slogan is for the Vacationland tourism campaign.

It occurred to me as I was packing that I have nothing specifically involving crustaceans for Vacationland. I'm wondering if this is because I don't actually have anything to put forth, or if it's that I don't feel like I have anything to put forth that could hold a candle to King's Lobstrosities.

Tell me, Blisstopia; what is a quintessential part of a vacation experience in a woods/mountains/lakes area?

Good mornthing!

I've been up for hours of course, and not merely due to the construction crews working in the place next door. Today is the day of leaving, and getting to the place in time to pick up Middlest meant doing so fairly early in the day. As I write this, we are halfway through the trip home, and trying to make that transition from Vacation Mode, living largely in the now, to regular braining, with planning and forethought.

Then again, I still get to retain my Vacation Brain somewhat, since tomorrow I am on a journey that is going to culminate in landing at Bag End with Lilli Haicken, woo!

Good mornthing!

I kept everyone up past their bedtimes last night. But sleeping in is totally a thing people can do, in Paradise, which is pretty great. We're all up now, and fed/caffeinated to varying degrees, and it is GORGEOUS out, so I'm probably going to go change really soon and go get out on the water in a kayak.

Today is also going to include some woodworking, and also the making of a beater for my new drum.

Today is my last day here and I am trying to not think about that too must. I want more. I want to stay. However, there is the bright spot that leaving means I'm going to get to go to Bag End soon. Yay!

Do you like ceramics? Like a chance to win free stuff? Well, here's your opportunity to fulfill both those desires.

On June 1st, I released my 6th novel: DREADNOUGHT AND SHUTTLE. In support of the release, friends and colleagues loaned me space on their blogs to talk about my work and my process.

I put together a 10 question multiple-guess quiz, based on the information in those posts. Answer all 10 right, and be entered to win one of 3 ceramics prizes.

Links to the blogposts and the questions can be found here:

So, with all the different kinds of boating I HAVE done, kayaking is actually new to me. I've done single oar canoeing. I've done two-oar rowing. I've done outboard motorboating, and ridden on sailboats and even fallen off one and behind various boats on tubes and boards. But kayaks? New.

That said, I am quite proud of myself today. I had a lot of fun exploring the most local part of the lakes, checking out the various cabins and houses along the water and waving to folks (and not cussing out the kid with the airhorn OR the motorboaters and jetskiiers who don't have the sense to slow down in the vicinity of small manual craft). I was going to go even further than the last part of my journey (the bottom portion of the woobly figure-8 pictured that is my route) and explore that bit at the bottom to see if it was a penninsula or an island, but I self-assessed and, with the heavy chop... more »

I was going to go even further than the last part of my journey (the bottom portion of the woobly figure-8 pictured that is my route) and explore that bit at the bottom to see if it was a penninsula or an island, but I self-assessed and, with the heavy chop in that lake, plus dealing with the wakes of various boaters, it was likely that if I attempted it I would have worn myself out and had serious trouble not just getting back, but navigating the treachery of those waters.

I responsibly turned myself about and pointed the bow toward home, where I got and had just enough strength in my noodley arms to haul everything out of the water before stripping off the PFD and flopping back in for a soak.

Now that I've mapped it all out, no wonder. I was out there for a while, but had no idea I'd done nearly four miles.___

So... there are cats here. There are FIVE cats here and they are pretty much all awesome. And pretty much every night there has been a cat in the bedroom when we went in there to sleep, and we've just left the door propped open to let them come and go. Last night, however, we were feeling kinda... amorous. Nobody emerged from under the bed when we went in there, though, so it seemed like we were all set. We got into bed, we snuggled up, we got smoochyfaced -

::jingle-THUMP!::

A cat landed on top of my feet. We exchanged a glance in the dark, and I turned on the light. It was Miranda, one of the smooth-coated black kitties that make me mildly nostalgic for my own past cats. We giggled as the cat started walking up my body, and SALM roused himself, scooped her gently up, and escorted her out the door.

He climbed back into bed, I clicked off the light, and with a "Now, where were we?" we resumed our cuddling and our smoochyface, when -

::thump::

...another cat body landed on the foot of the bed, this time without any tell-tale jingle. "Really?!" SALM snickered as I clicked on the light to see the buttery-tan Caliban on the foot of the bed, looking at us innocently as if to say, "Hey guys, what's going on?"

Mindful of the fact that Miranda might still be lurking just outside, SALM scooped him up and escorted him, too, gently out of the room. He climbed back into bed, both of us giggling as I switched out the light. We resumed our scootching close, our snuggling, our smoochyface -

and a very light weight thumped onto the bottom of the bed between our feet. Giggling incredulously, when I switched on the light we saw Beatrice, the tiny ancient beastie of the clowder, looking up at us, thin and sweet faced. SALM sat up as she strolled right up between us - and flopped right down in the warm patch he'd left in front of his pillow.

Now, she is the the eldest kitty, and she has not been eating or drinking much at all lately, so when she bellied right down, letting us pet her, and started to purr? We were pretty much putty in her paws. We cooed and skritched and stroked and loved on her, telling each other how great it was that she had the energy and the interest for this... and since she's old and sick, shouldn't we let her stay where she is comfy? But then again.... she is old and sick, and the room has no litter box.

So SALM escorted her gently from the room - and then checked under the bed and all the other furniture in the room before joining me once again and, giggling, I switched out the light.

Representation matters.

As of this morning, all 3 Halcyone Space books have been in the top 10 of LGBT Science Fiction best sellers on Amazon for more than 4 weeks. The irony, of course, is that I just consider these SF stories. I guess writing about gay characters as human is enough to classify the stories as #LGBT friendly. It seems like such a low bar, you know? Like how can this not just be the default?___Representation matters.

Good mornthing!

Much of my day has already happened! Day started kind of earlier than intended, due to my having left the bedroom door open, and one of the cats deciding therefore that 5am was the perfect time to come have the floor-thumping crazies under our bed, and I sort of dozed until it was time to do dishwashing and eat bacon. I am voluntarily dishslave while I'm here.

We breakfasted, we caffeinated, and we hit the Mount Vernon book sale. I got roughly 11 books for five bucks, and a half dozen of said books are the first six books in the Harry Dresden series ( http://amzn.to/29KajBb ) - none of which I have ever read, but which I have been told many times by many people that I will love, so I'm looking forward to digging into it.

Now we are home, and what will fill today? Well....

- reading (Stormfront! Or maybe the Richard Brautigan book.)
- writing (Vacationland!)
- swimming (Lake!)
- kayaking (Lake!)
- woodworking (Hairsticks!)
- Cards Against Humanity (I am a horrible person!)

Last night (it might amuse +Ilyanna Kreske in particular to hear) we introduced our hosts to the joy of a game of 1000 Blank White Cards. Actually, we played two games, because the first one was over within the first three rounds, much to the shock of us all. A good time was had all 'round, and there are MANY new cards in my deck. Muah ha ha ha ha!

I got to use the Legs Of A Colossus card. It was such fun.

So, yeah. Life in paradise continues apace.

Good mornthing!

If I typo in this post, it is because +Murphy Jacobs is either scritching my scalp or kneading my back muscles and I just... aaahhhhhh.........

We arrived safely - which could probably be surmised from last night's Godzilla Drunkblog, of course - and the drive was filled with many jokes about Stephen King and about how the sign at the state line says

Welcome to the State of

Vacationland

I might write a series of short horror stories about a place colloquially known as Vacationland. It might include large strange beast that should in theory be herbivores but they have gone feral. And deiselpunk.

:D

You guuuuuuuuuys this place is so greeeeeeeeaaaaaat! Do you see the windows behind us? Can you see the lake outside the windows behind us? No, you can't, because the lighting nopes the view. But... more »

I'm going to go boating later. (Don't worry +Lisa Cohen - it's a kayak, not a sailboat.)

There's going to be some reading today. There's going to be some writing. Maybe some shenanigans. (Maybe? HAH! It's me. Shenanigans gather around me. #BlameBliss )

Note to self re: Vacationland: Don't forget the thing with the moles.

Hello Gardeners!

My nephew's boy scout troop is doing a fundraiser. If you order flowers for the Fall, they'll ship in September directly to you. You don't have to be local to buy. I'd throw some money at this, but I do not have a garden (or space for one). If you were thinking of getting some flowers for the Fall, consider taking a look here. :)

...ish. I don't have any beer in me yet, but that's not stopping me from witting down with +Murphy Jacobs (In the same room, woo!) to watch her favorite movie which I have never seen - GODZILLA!

If you also haven't seen it and don't want to know, then watch out, because #HereThereBeSpoilers !

I wrote a flash fiction. I used a prompt from +Bliss Morgan combined with a prompt from my list of #52ShortStoriesin52Weeks  . This piece is in Google Docs and should be viewable by anyone with the link. It's just over 500 words, and a rough draft. Feedback welcome. :)
