This bit that's going on with Adam Sandler is getting a little old. I think that he should of stopped making movies while he was ahead. He was a hit in the 90s and early 2000s and he can't just keep on going on like this. These Netflix movies are nowhere near to the amount of money he made on movies like Billy Madison or Happy Gilmore.

Dating apps have now become the go to for single Millennials in today's world. The use of them has significantly increased during the last four years and more and more different sites seem to appearing. The problem is that it is enabling us to stay isolated and not be able to socialize in face-to-face situations. Of course there are a lot of upsides to being able to get to know someone and create a comfort level before actually meeting them. In any case, for better or worse I think this new dating style is here to stay for a while to come.

Amazon, Google, and Facebook are really the big 3 in terms of AI.

Amazon Web Services (AWS), will also make machine learning and other types of AI more readily available to outside companies. This could allow retailers without technical expertise in this area to take advantage of the data processing capabilities of AI to cater to their customers’ preferences. ___Amazon, Google, and Facebook are really the big 3 in terms of AI.

A key point is that this industry is highly leveraged with technology.

The smaller we can be, the better. This was said by one of the people who worked on the game Rocket League. Now a days, a huge movement in the video game industry is to outsource as much as possible. It's cheap and it ultimately brings back more revenue per employee. There are so many people in this industry looking for work, so it is quick and easy to hire them and just as easy to let them go. ___A key point is that this industry is highly leveraged with technology.

I think this form of advertising is absolutely genius! It might make me mad if I owned a google home, or I might just laugh it off, but BK was definitely being creative and taking advantage of technology! YouTube has become safer for brands, but this makes it more difficult for new channels to make money, but the ones that exist or ones that are successful, YouTube has created an environment that is safer for them. This also means the monitor and tracked city.

Things such as big-data, cheaper sensors, and mobile apps are allowing cities to be 'smarter'. Some examples include mobile data collection with video/smartphones that allowed LA to compile a real-time map of the city pointing out what sections are clean vs not, sensors on street lights have allowed a city to provide real time updates on traffic and foot traffic, machine learning has developed algorithms that predict what sections of a city are most susceptible to fires and to do restaurant inspections.

A problem with smart cities is that with the collection of big-data and sensors, how is the privacy of the residents being protected? The data is collected where it is anonymous but it can be paired up with other data sets it can reveal a lot of info about individuals. ___This also means the monitor and tracked city.

You can infer intent for Facebook targeting, sometimes very very well.

It's true about the differnce between Google Adwords and Facebook Ads, "AdWords targets users who demonstrate intent when they type into the Google search box. Facebook has no such intent. Instead, Facebook Ads match with user’s interests." This has been true when using Facebook vs. Google search. When I'm using Facebook I'll see Ads that are trying to guess what I might be interested in while Google I'm searching for something I know I might want. Interruption advertising raises it's ugly head

This is bad news for the company as they recently just had their IPO and will want to continue scaling their advertisement revenues as well as making their platform attractive to other businesses. Uber has been getting nothing but bad press lately.

Uber is having ethical issues and the public is collectively beginning to notice. This article is about how Uber allegedly manipulates their drivers into working longer and providing more rides. I am not on Uber's side; just so you understand my bias but also know that I have barely used taxi/Uber/Lyft services in my life. Taxi companies are suffering because Uber and Lyft are undercutting them on price. I empathize with these privately owned taxi companies because I know that some of these taxi drivers will take out a second mortgage to pay for the medallion that allows them to legally provide transport services to the public. Unfortunately, but most likely, these medallion holders will not be able to get out of debt because I do not see taxi cabs in the near-future. I honestly don't think this will work that great. Because 1) It only quotes one source on each fact check. 2)It doesn’t fact check all results, not even the top result in some instances. 3) "Of course who is doing the fact checking could also be a point of debate. It seems this will mostly appeal to people on mobile devices

Yet another reason why windows 10 is amazing me and many other mac users. they call it "download & go" and with the windows 10 Netflix app you can now download movies for times you know you wont have internet. This is pretty cool, but i guess so far you have to look for things to download since there is no category yet including downloadable items.___It seems this will mostly appeal to people on mobile devices

Climate change seems to be accelerating.

Glad to see big tech companies taking a stand like this. I feel like this can also be seen as part of a strategy by these companies to appeal to the population who are in support for climate regulations. Climate change is a real thing, and it is scary to see that some people are blinded by power and are not able to see that our planet is slowly dying because of all of the toxins.

Are people sticking with Snapchat?

Instagram and Facebook have copied Snapchat's story feature, so it's time for them to Snap back! Snapchat actually just rolled out a new feature similar to that available for Facebook stories, it's a search feature. This search feature will allow users to view photos and videos from different accounts for public content, whether or not you are friends with the person who posted it. Additionally this opens up the possibility for brand discovery and other advertising options for Snapchat.___Are people sticking with Snapchat?
