Dear Democrats,
As an open supporter of Bernie Sanders, I've been hearing a common refrain over the past weeks, intensifying of late, as the DNC convention approaches, and prepares for the inevitable coronation of Hillary Clinton. That refrain is some variation of

Is This Your Legacy?

flame on

Dear Democrats,
As an open supporter of Bernie Sanders, I've been hearing a common refrain over the past weeks, intensifying of late, as the DNC convention approaches, and prepares for the inevitable coronation of Hillary Clinton. That refrain is some variation of
"better smarten up and vote Hillary, or Trump will be President!",
as well as,
"It's the Bernie voters' fault if they split the vote and Trump wins!"

What a bunch of condescending, uninformed, media-driven crap. If Trump wins because of a splintering of the Democrat party vote, it will be because of one thing only- The DNC rigging the primary to promote an un-electable candidate. A candidate with the lowest approval rating of any DNC nominee EVER. A candidate mired in turmoil, political scandals, failed attempts at nation-building that ruined and cost millions of lives, security scandals, and a typical "do as I say, not as I do" approach to governance. At this point I'd like to say that if you don't understand how the primary was rigged, if it was rigged, or why it was rigged, Google it- there is ample, vetted, provable information showing this is the case. The Clinton Campaign openly colluded with the DNC to ensure her victory using a variety of dirty, typical political tricks, and didn't even do a good job lying about it. Remember how much it pissed you off when GWB did that before, in 2004? That fury is what splinters votes, not Bernie Sanders. If you still don't believe it, or cheating to become the President doesn't bother you, stop reading now or your head will explode.
Rigging the primary had unintended results for the Clinton Campaign and the DNC. In typical Hillary Clinton fashion- she totally underestimated her opponent and their troops on the ground. (cough, cough, Libya, cough) She smeared Sanders and alienated the youth vote, which skewed towards Sanders in every poll, yet somehow thought those votes could still be captured for the general election. Oops. She alienated the youth vote as they entered into politics for the first time- which did lasting, real damage to the DNC. Oops. The youth vote seeks an insurgent with a message of equality and fairness- secret Goldman Sachs speeches, flippant remarks, double standards, and that egotistical air of inevitability, not so much. Ooops. Then DNC Chair Debbie Wasserman Shultz pissed off even more independent voters who were already tired of, and firmly outside the two party system. If Bernie Sanders was relying on the Dem vote alone, he wouldn't have lasted two months- He won 22 (many say 23) states of his own because of the Independent Vote. This is verifiable with exit poll information. DNC rigging the primary prolonged the race, and damaged Clinton's already tarnished image with independent voters, who mobilized on behalf of Sanders because they knew they were getting a raw deal. Again, all there in the exit data. The election of Donald Trump will come down to how much the Independent Voter is pissed at the DNC in November- The base will vote as they always do. What's scary is that in EVERY election Hillary Clinton has run, not most of them- EVERY single election, the longer she's in public, the faster her numbers tank. Look it up. We're looking at Clinton's most popular point being right after the convention when she is crowned queen. I say queen because the public votes for American Presidents. Once we're past the post-convention bounce, she's going to plummet, right about the time GOP voters continue to have record voter turnouts.
Great work DNC, way to pick a winner.

But enough dirty pool from blue, let's talk GOP-
The Republicans don't like who their voters chose, and are trying to simply ignore the will of the people and choose their own candidate in the 11th hour via a "rules change". Bwaaaaaah?! Rules change behind closed doors after the votes are cast? How....Putin (or Mao, or Stalin, or really any dictator) of you, GOP. Although Donald Trump is a monster and unfit for the Presidency- he has received more votes than any GOP primary candidate in history, and is clearly who the American people mandate should be the GOP nominee for President. Donald Trump deserves to be the GOP Presidential candidate- he won it fair and square. GOP made their collective beds and should fitfully sleep in it. To allow party elites to circumvent primary elections and the people's voice totally, is one of several reasons we left England, folks. That whole "representation" thingy is paramount to the American ideal, but when you have a two party system, and BOTH parties rig the primary, then you no longer have representation. The entire point of voting is to use your voice the way you want to represent your best interests. Good luck with that, folks. You've been sold a bill of goods.
There is also a Donald Trump myth I don't understand- that somehow America, and all it's glory and accomplishment, will perish from the earth the moment a Trump Presidency begins. Fear-mongering by the DNC at it's very best. As though 350,000,000 other people aren't involved and having an impact. If GWB didn't tank it in 8 years, Donald Trump won't do it in 4.
Again- condescending, uninformed, media-driven crap. America is already great, and we're continually making it greater every day- it has been totally awesome for the past roughly 300 years. Why has it been awesome? The people who no longer have a voice made it awesome through hard work and sacrifice, that's why.
Using the boogeyman card of Donald Trump to coerce votes only shows how afraid people are, their lack of involvement with their country, and that the GOP and DNC exploit this. How involved can one be when the only requirements for the most powerful office on the planet equates to "I'm not the other guy"? What a disservice to your fellow Americans, future generations, and to yourselves. It's almost as though they know we don't pay attention 90% of the time and then see something shiny that distracts us enough to care for a few months. (oh. frown. right.) If you looked closer you would clearly see that both of these candidates are not shiny- they're steamy piles of shit with a little chrome paint applied. Is that really the legacy you want for your country? You really want to leave a steamy pile for your kids?

That is why a vote for a third party makes sense!

None of us are getting what we signed up for, so let's strive towards a common goal, as Americans. Even if Hillary or Donald manages to steal another 4 years in Florida (hey, there's precedent, just sayin'), the USA will endure. It disrespects America and our collective dream when people claim either of these scandal-laden buffoons could destroy us, and both parties disrespect you when you fall into the two party trap, and think it was your idea........again. You just got conned....... again.

SO:
Clinton, Trump, and all supporters thereof: Get Over Yourselves.
Neither candidate has the ability to make or break this great country, so please stop acting like only Trump can fix/ruin it, and stop acting like only Hillary Clinton can save/destroy us. Nothing can be further from the truth- neither party, let alone the candidates, have shown the actual ability to govern- hell, they can't even play by their own rules! There is more to run on as a candidate than NOT being the other guy. I understand you're afraid of Hillary and of Trump. You should be- they're both despicable people that serve as poster children for graft, deceit, lies, and manipulation- and are both unfit to lead the nation. Fighting for them at the expense of what literally makes us Americans enriches them personally while defeating the point of America entirely. Is this our American legacy? One of gridlock? Of mass shootings nobody can legislate past? Of stolen votes? Of subterfuge masked as political expediency? Of destroying nations across the globe for their resources? Of shaming one another into voting your way because "what if"?
Americans don't run away from "what if", or at least they didn't used to. That should galvanize a populace to stand and fight! We should run towards this as an opportunity! Neither party or candidate represents the people's will. None of them gives a damn about you, your life, or your family, other than as a tax base. None of them has a successful history of leadership or governance. None of them represents the best America has to offer. They don't respect you enough to let you actually choose anything. And they're counting on you staying asleep. Why waste your vote with these two parties?

That's why I'm voting for Gary Johnson and Bill Weld
It is nearly a foregone conclusion that Trump or Hillary will be the next President. The office of the President shouldn't be purchased outright by superpac money, and more than that, it shouldn't be stolen by party elites that "know whats best for us". So let's make it a three (or more) party system. If any third party can get just 15% of the national vote, it will make that party eligible to receive federal funding and have a place at the debates. That is bullshit criteria to begin with, intended to silence dissent, but them's the breaks. 15% will allow another platform of progress and grass roots support to flourish and destroy the corporate dollars we should have beaten this time, had the election not been fixed by party elites from the start. It's time to stop the two-party oligarchy. The only way to stop it is to give more of the population a voice, and that voice right now is available through #GaryJohnson and the Libertarian Party- currently polling at roughly 11%. Do you really want America to pick the lesser of two evils? Is this our American legacy?

AMERICA is losing in 2016-
Let's give all ideas and voices a place at the table instead of making the election another foregone conclusion in 2020. I'm voting for Gary Johnson , and you should too. Get this experienced, capable, growth-oriented candidate to 15% and claim your voice back as an American, and help reclaim our American Legacy. You In?

This is outstanding- as in totally worth your time. A clear consideration for those of us that have a conscience about voting for either major party candidate. Maybe the best political ad ever. Smart. funny. spot the fuck on.

We've gone from "Yes We Can" to

"No We Shouldn't" and "I Don't Want Too"

America, we've jumped the shark.

+Richard Branson is the man, always laying down the law with reason, insight, and wit. Worth the read even if you don't have a dog in this particular fight. I'd love to meet the guy in BVI one day. #Branson #Brexit #Remain

One of the coolest places we're featuring for our Nicaragua Photography Workshop is Las Isletas de Granada, a collection of 360+ islets formed from an explosive eruption millennia ago- they are a fantastic habitat and are amazing to explore and photograph around sunset! Image: +Jordana Wright

wanna make $200 on the side?
One of the things I do to work with our travel schedule is Uber. You get money just for signing up if you actually take trips.

Full disclosure: if you sign up with my code I could make money.
