Alice Keeler3,507I am going to go over how to use my FilterRoster script that filters data from a Google Form, makes a tab per kid on your roster and filters the Form data so that each kids tab shows that kids information. We kick it up a notch by having the script automatically create a spreadsheet per student to show their filtered data. The students spreadsheet automatically updates as the Google Form is filled out.  Link to presentation slides: http://goo.gl/pFOs7i Link to my script: http://goo.gl/WGioY5 Link to sample data: http://goo.gl/KwSOOz  I will go over how to install it into a Google Form spreadsheet. This is VERY BETA. I am working on cleaning up the script and getting it acceptable to be an Add-On. In the meantime you can use this script if you're willing to be a beta tester. FilterRoster: Google Forms & Scripts2015-03-06 20:00:0077

With the ability to link to specific slides and go to different slides depending on the choice, you can make and use interactive slideshows. Google for Education988,568Join other school administrators and teachers to hear how they are designing their curriculum to best engage students and use technology in transformative ways.  Some questions that will be discussed include: +What process do you use to design curriculum to utilize technology to its fullest potential (not just substituting what you're already doing without technology)? +How do you develop that curriculum with a heavy focus on 21st century skills? +What curriculum models do you use in your district (e.g. project-based learning; flipped classroom; etc.) +How do you train your staff on new curriculum and encourage them to use technology effectively? +How your structuring your blended learning initiatives?  What sites do you use? To connect: +Come back to the Google Education Google+ Page (https://plus.google.com/u/0/+GoogleinEducation) at 10:00 am Pacific Time on 9/27 and you'll see a video box.   +Click on that video box to watch the livestream.  No Google+ account required.   For those who can't watch in real-time, the Hangout will be recorded and posted to the same Google Education Google+ page for later viewing.   See you on air!Designing Curriculum to Engage Students with Technology2013-09-27 19:00:00374

Peter Vogel44,635My circle of educators who post about information technology from an education perspectiveSomeone asked me earlier today if they could have access to this circle of about 450 educators. For some reason a private sharing didn't work for him so I am sharing the circle publicly. Perhaps it will be of use to some others as well. The circle isn't perfect. There are sure to be some dormant accounts in it but that should be more than made up by the many devoted G-plussers you will find here.2014-11-14 04:49:174553311
Peter Vogel44,233Sharing a circle of terrific ICT educatorsHere in British Columbia we are about to head back to school. What better time to share this circle of people who share their expertise in Information and Communications Technology or Educational Technology if you prefer another label.I've been a Google+ user since day 1 and in fact I began using it, appropriately enough, while on a three-week stay at the birthplace of the World Wide Web, CERN, perhaps better known as the home of the Large Hadron Collider. I began building this circle of plussers while there. Now I must admit I haven't been good about culling dormant accounts of late so don't expect everyone in the circle to be a gem. Also, if you happen across this post and circle and wish to be included (on the basis outlined above) just send me a note.  2014-08-29 22:11:48451101

Peter Vogel18,019New to Google+? Interested in Ed Tech? Are you a teacher? It's the end of the work week (well, here in Vancouver it is). Adding this circle to your Google+ presence will surely see your stream filling with content that you may be able to put to use next week. The people in this circle are passionate about what they do in their working lives. They share that passion through their presence here on Google+.2012-04-13 23:05:25408815
Peter Vogel17,847Tech Ed CircleI am sharing the circle below for those who are looking for educators and those who actively write about education with an emphasis on information and communications technologies (let's call it tech ed for short). Just prior to posting this I used the Uncircle+ Chrome extension to comb the circle for inactive G+ accounts, resulting in the removal of around 60 from an initial set of 470. However, it appears that Uncircle+ is not completely reliable. At least one account remains that is apparently non-existent and a few accounts remain that were inactive during the period I specified. I wanted Uncircle+ to identify accounts with no activity since January 1.2012-04-09 01:23:424056313
