If my mother, who was just diagnosed with ALS, can still be bothered to care enough to vote in November then I'm not buying anyone's "I'm staying home" argument. We never get perfect choices. That's life. Deal with it and realize that we will never get everything we want from politicians.

I was a Bernie supporter. But I'm filled with disgust at many fellow Sanders supporters. The ones who, like Bernie, are hoping the superdelegates subvert democracy by overturning the will of the voters of their states. While I hate the superdelegate system, it's the system in place. It was the system in place when Bernie entered the race last year. The system was known to supporters from the beginning. It's maddening listening to the crying, complaining, and outright disingenuous behavior from Bernie and many supporters. I regret my support for Bernie after seeing his comments of marching onto the convention in the hope the superdelegates will overturn the will of the voters. The early call by the media had no lasting effect on the final tally. If voters stayed home because of AP, then that's on those voters, not AP. Sadly, Hillary easily had enough to win. I just started seeing this on my S5 two days ago whenever I charge. It's very invasive and I can't figure out why it started. I have Android 4.4. I uninstalled two apps I recently aded plus went back to previous versions on several updated. The only one I didn't delete was Amazon Alexa, which I added several days ago when I bought an Amazon Echo.
Any thoughts would be appreciated.

There are many Democrats who are just not into Hillary Clinton. I'm one of them. Gender has nothing to do with my reasons. That's an easy cop-out at this point. We were more than willing twice to vote in a black man with the funny name, so I reject that gender is the main factor. Sure that's some peoples reasons, but not most. Many of us see Hillary as everything that is establishment and wrong in politics. It was laughable last night listening to her try to co-opt Sanders populist message. The last thing Clinton is, is a populist.

We finished season 1 of this brilliant show from Amazon and can't wait for season 2. What my wife and I found fascinating is that the characters we're supposed to hate (Nazi's and Japanese) were by far the most compelling on the show. I won't say we were rooting for them, but we didn't want those main characters do be killed off. The only weakness in my opinion were some of the American characters, who we were be okay with them being killed off.

I agree with +Danny Sullivan.  Google should split off Collections and Communities and then kill Plus.

My sharing on Google+ is going to be much less than in the past. It's just not the place for that now. More below....

I've been with the new Google+ for about a week or two now. I keep having Collections shoved at me. I find it hard to get to my feed or even to post. When I do, engagement seems way down than in the past. I also find it a pain to have to click and wait for the comment to open, if I want to review or respond to them.

I understand the reasons behind the Pinterestification of Google+. And no, I'm not saying Google+ is dead. But in terms of a place that I've found useful to share, yeah, that aspect is now pretty dead to me.

I'll probably still share a few things occasionally, but I don't see any reason to as much as I do with Facebook and Twitter -- Google+ itself has just changed to much for that to make sense.

From a brand perspective, I've long suggested that they make use of Google+ especially because of the personalization aspect that goes into search. But that's felt diminished over time. I'd still err on the side of caution that brands probably should share a bit, but it's so less compelling these days.

These types of posts tend to attract the Google+ loyalists who want to scream about how someone just doesn't get the platform or is doing it wrong. Blah blah. If you're one of those types, well, feel free to make the inevitable comment below.

I'll just say this is my perspective from someone who has been on the service from the beginning, who actually enjoyed sharing on the service for many years. I think Google gave it a good go as a social media sharing place in the spirit of Twitter or Facebook. They were just too established. The shift to Collections is smart. I'm not bemoaning or saying that it should somehow try to fight to bring the traditional feed back.

Really, this is just a reflection that the traditional feed here really has died exactly as was expected when changes first started happening last year.

Honestly, at this point, I wish they really would kill Google+ altogether. Get rid of the name. Spin out Google Collections on its own. Spin out Google Communities as its own. Finally bury the zombie that is Google+ with all the baggage that name carries and move forward without it___I agree with +Danny Sullivan.  Google should split off Collections and Communities and then kill Plus.

Blaming religion as the only reason for the Paris attacks is a misguided take. Yes, religious extremism is certainly one component. But another component is US foreign policy.... specifically George W. Bush's decision to invade Iraq under false pretenses. That decision opened the can of worms that gave birth to ISIS.

The world, must now live with, and deal with, a force bent on destruction.  When dying for God or glory is the end-goal, it's going to be a long fight.

As a leftist it's very disconcerting watching the video of the University of Missouri students so comfortable violating reporters 1st ammendment rights on public land. We've been seeing intolerant PC behavior for several decades on campuses and this articulated everything wrong with what a segment of leftist students are doing. Being a liberal isn't supposed to mean being unwilling to let other sides have their opinions heard or to surpress constitutional rights.
