Most drugs are still stable long after expiration dates. Why? Because there is no incentive for companies to research shelf-life.

Found in the Hall of Constantine...
Although Raphael had designed the entire room, he died prematurely in 1520, leaving behind his sketches for students to follow. New findings, however, reveal that he actually did leave his mark on the hall, in the form of two allegorical female figures portraying the virtues of Friendship and Justice.

Apparently nothing is sacred. Pressure from ranchers apparently prompted this.

“Let’s be clear: House Appropriations Committee members just signed a death warrant for America’s mustangs and it will lead to the wholesale destruction of these irreplaceable national treasures,” said Suzanne Roy, director of the American Wild Horse Campaign in a news release.

If it becomes law, the amendment would allow the Bureau of Land Management to kill horses and burros deemed unadoptable as long as the animals aren’t used for commercial purposes including human consumption.

eeek! Scary tree is scary.

This is for +Ted Ewen

This tree was dubbed one of most terrifying trees in Britain as it appears to dribble slime from its gaping mouth. Located in the grounds of Stowlangtoft Hall, Bury St Edmunds, Suffolk, the 70ft tall beech looks reminiscent of the Whomping Willow tree in Harry Potter or an enchanted Disney forest. Photographed by local David Garnham, he believes the bizarre tree - which also appears to have a twisted tongue forking from its mouth - looks like nature's very own version of Edvard Munch's classic Scream painting. ___eeek! White House ethics chief quits - and spills all.

The day after he left his post as head of the U.S. Office of Government Ethics, former director Walter Shaub appeared on CNN Wednesday morning, spouting off a list of ethical abnormalities he encountered working under the President Donald Trump administration.

Shaub said he was “horrified” by an incident in which Trump’s lawyer asked if the President could file his financial disclosure form without signing it.

Back in August 1942, Marcelin and Francine Dumoulin went on a routine mission to milk their cows, leaving their seven children at home. They never returned. Family members believed at the time that they’d fallen into a crevasse; over the next seven and a half decades, they never gave up hope that their relatives would be found.

When you really have too much stuff... The realtor for this million dollar mansion must be going absolutely nuts, but you have to admit this would be a fun walk-through. Some of the captions are great! The stuffed cowboy at the bar and the "child" hanging upside down from the ceiling are creepy, but the mannequin in the bathroom...OMG. The owners are going to need 6 moving vans to get out. I'm a fan of clutter, but this is too much even for me!

A fascinating interview with a 97-year-old Nuremberg prosecutor., "still churning" inside as he talks about what he experienced... and still fighting genocide around the world. This exchange shows why this history is still important:

Lesley Stahl: What turns a man into a savage beast like that?
Benjamin Ferencz: He's not a savage. He's an intelligent, patriotic human being.
Lesley Stahl: He's a savage when he does the murder though.
Benjamin Ferencz: No. He's a patriotic human being acting in the interest of his country, in his mind.
