Drink and Click™ Seattle, Washington114Our next Drink and Click event is happening in the fun & funky Ballard neighbourhood of Seattle. Tons and tons of bars, coffee shops, restaurants, and street photography await us as we meander around drinking and clicking. You don't have to drink alcohol either. Many of our members do not drink and they still come over for a good talk and networking. The first place we’ll all meet at is set in an old library. It’s Seattle’s only pub dedicated to all things Australian & New Zealander, the Kangaroo and Kiwi. It’s a great spot with lots of open space for us to hang out, shoot, and grab a few drinks. After we’re done here, we’ll wander around Market St and Leary Way wherever we may feel like heading to. The locks are nearby too, potentially a fun spot to catch the sun setting towards the end of the event. *March Monthly Challenge!* As usual, there's a monthly challenge with the event and this months' theme is _Shallow Depth of Field_, with awesome prizes from @107449563955752895894, +c't Digital Photography, and @105237212888595777019. Drink and Click™ Seattle, Washington114*The First Seattle @107732282190737721685 is happening!* When: Saturday February 15th 2014, starting at 3pm. Rain or Shine. Where: Capitol Hill, just east of downtown Seattle. We'll meet at the Elysian Brewery and Pub at 13th & Pike. This should be a lot of fun - Capitol Hill is an always fun and vibrant neighbourhood to photograph... definitely something for everyone here. The plan will be to meet at the Elysian, get to know everyone while people arrive, and then wander west along Pike St until we get to Broadway. From there we can head north along Broadway up into Capitol Hill. There is a ton to shoot at the pubs and bars on the hill and along the streets as well. A lot of these pubs can be dimly lit - pack in that fast 50 for some fun low light shots. *February Challenge* Each month there is a chapter wide challenge with some great prizes up for grabs. The theme changes each month, and this month the theme is _"Rule of Thirds"_.  https://plus.google.com/u/0/events/c3fa0q2l3thvf3oo4gpnjluncu4 Looking forward to seeing everyone there! Seattle Photowalk669The Plan: We will meet at 2pm at the totem pole and assemble for a group photo. For those coming in from other states or those who haven't visited the area, the totem pole is in a courtyard at the corner of 1st Ave and Yesler Way. There is street parking and pay parking lots very close by. After that, roam in packs or individually and capture the ambiance, the tourists, the locals, the exposed brick and Victorian Romanesque architecture, and the unique flavor of this location. There is no set route, but we intend to slowly make our way down towards the waterfront and grab dinner and drinks at approx. 5pm. After dinner the die hards are welcome to stick around for some sunset shooting along the Seattle Waterfront. For more information on Seattle photowalks or photowalks in general, check out the profile for +Seattle Photowalk. Be sure to add +Seattle Photowalk to your circles to stay informed about upcoming walks. Remember, all posts related to this (and other) Seattle photowalks will be tagged with #seattlephotowalk . Hope to see you there!Seattle Photowalk - Pioneer Square Edition2012-08-25 14:00:0024
