David Dickens6,451It seems the young folks on Google plus are sharing their circles these days. I've got one great circle to share: 99 verified profiles of active Google plus folks drawn from my circles and my followers. Now some of the names you'll recognize, in such a list you'll always catch a few celebrities. But there are some other folks in this list that might surprise you and a few secret gems. Feel free to share this circle.Want to join my circle of verified profiles? Just 1) be active, 2) get your profile verified, and 3) comment below or send me a note. #sharedcircles   #verified  2013-10-22 16:04:5799201CC G+

Kyle Beck0So, I know a lot of my friends who have joined +Google+ wonder "What's the point? I have a Facebook." Well that comparison was flawed from the beginning, although many people made it while trying to describe G+. There are similarities, but one of my favorite features in G+ has been the ability to share Circles with others. In fact I'm not sure I would see the point if I hadn't been shared this very circle by +Robert Scoble (IIRC) early on in my G+ membership. It has proven an invaluable source of up-to-the-minute Tech News over the past year and really showed me how G+ is very different from FB.See, when you visit FB the information you receive is solely from your family and real-life acquaintances. This can be great for keeping up with people you don't see regularly, etc., but it is very hard to reach out to new people who share your interests through FB. Not so on G+. You can create and share groups of friends and pages (Circles) to organize your social interests. In effect, this creates dynamic communities where you can choose who you interact with.Anyways, I hope you will consider adding this Circle, packed full of Tech Enthusiasts. If you don't really use G+ or wonder what the point is, that goes double for you!2012-06-30 00:28:364881003CC G+

Robert Scoble1,146,151Here are 500 of my favorite Tech Journalists, bloggers, and pundits. I'm sharing this since I am seeing lots of new people coming over and I'm sure they are looking for some great people to circle here. Unfortunately I can't share everyone that I have in this circle (I have 575 in this circle on my screen, but Google+ only lets me share 500 with you). Lots of interesting tech bloggers and journalists here. Hope you enjoy. This is the circle that starts my morning every day.Speaking of Tech News, I'm off to +VMware. They are announcing new Cloud Foundry stuff this morning. So, you'll probably see some tech news from the folks in this circle.2012-04-11 16:01:035005737106CC G+
Sir John Hardy17,427There have been a few circles shared about lately. None, however, is as good as this one. Each person in this circle has been crash tested in a laboratory, simmered in a social incubator and boiled in the crucible of interaction. All have come up with a pH reading of 4 or higher.2012-03-11 14:36:3337538720CC G+
Robert Scoble700,661Yes, it's a ghost town of TECH INDUSTRY JOURNALISTS AND BLOGGERS. Pay no attention to anyone from the Wall Street Journal who snuck onto this circle. Yes, this is 500 people, but they are almost all active.2012-02-28 03:05:115005538103CC G+

These are people who are thought leaders, reporters, journalists, bloggers in the tech industry. As with all my circles I try to remove people who aren't active (if you see any here, please let me know). I think number 6 is key, because there are going to be days when the passion isn't there, those are the days you just have to push thru, with the belief that the passion will return.  However if you find you have too many such days than maybe you need to rethink what you are doing.

I am currently reading this book (ok I am actually listening to it ) it is not a new book (2011) but I just found it recently.  It is the story of a blind man and his guide dog who was in the tower on Sept 11 but it is more than that it is also the story of his life, including working with Ray Kurzwell, getting his first guide dog and flying a plane.  Anyway I thought some people in this group might enjoy the book.

I have decided that 2014 will be the year of Productivity for me.  In 2013 I worked on being more organized(a work that is still in progress), which is one of the reasons I joined this group. I am hoping to not only get good productivity tips, but also hope and encouragement when things are going off track.  I have tried many productivity apps including Things, Omnifocus, Remember the Milk and more. Some where to complicated and tied to only one OS, like Omnifocus, others where too restrictive like Remember the Milk. At this point in time I am using a combination of Todoist and Bullet Journal in a Field Notebook.  I am a writer and one of my goals in 2014 is to get my first novel finished and publish.

My husband was given an iPhone 4 (maybe 4s ) at work.  It uses Exchange for contacts and calendar.  His Contacts keep disappearing.  When he pulls up Contacts there is nothing there.   Although they are listed under All Contacts.  He says if he searches by name the information comes up however if he taps on a number nothing happens.  He has to memorize the # or write it down, go into the phone app and actually dial the number.  Does anyone know a fix for this?

My husband was clearing out his parents house for a garage sale, he found some letters most from 1933-1935 from an Oskar Worringen in Fulda, Germany to my husband's uncle Theron Landwehr. The last letter was from 1947.   I wonder if  Oskar's relatives are still living in the Fulda area and if they know when he passed away?
