I dragged myself off to the mini maker faire in Sydney's Powerhouse Museum. One 3.5 hour bus ride up from Canberra and a numb arse from all that sitting. I walked to the museum about a km from central station and was reminded that in my mid 50's you don't recover from injuries or broken little toes all that quickly and I was reminded after about the halfway point and then constantly for the rest of the day.
I also have a prolapsed disc at L4/5 and it decided to join in rather than miss out lol
The mini part of the maker faire was as advertised, but it had some interesting displays and I scrounged a little swag off everyone if only a sticker :-)
The inspiration for the trip was to meet Angus Deveson from Maker Muse https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCxQbYGpbdrh-b2ND-AfIybg and I did, along with the wonderful Lady Muse. I scored some of his coins one printed by sls. Getting away from... more »

Rather than reveal Lady Muse as I believe she's a little camera shy this long distance shot will have to do you. :-)
If I understand correctly his regular 10am Sunday stream will be coming from the faire be sure to tune in via the above link.
I also spotted MickMake https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC7GMT3ohvYEAJFDenzj9EMQ wandering doing interviews but my aspergers and my anti rejection medication got the better of me and I didnt feel like saying hello. (They call me Lucky Luke!)
I spent the rest of the day going back over many of the stands and some of the museum exhibitions as well "Danger Danger Will Robinson!!" Then another painful walk back to central and another 3.5 hour bus trip home.
Overall a great day___

They should lend some of these to our official broadcaster Channel 7 who really suck at showing the Olympics. It seems only Australia is there and only in the pool. The only way the archery got a look in was because we unexpectedly won a medal while channel 7 wasn't looking. It seem s they might not have many cameras hence my post offering alternatives to their blinkered one eyed view of what the Australian public want to see. There are other countries and sports there Channel 7! Gave up trying to watch 3 channel all showing the same things all on repeat .
