|Moe „Gilvan Blight“ Tousignant||6,155||#RPG #RPGcircle #Circleshare A week or so ago I was asked to share my G+ RPG circle. This is me continuing to do so.As I have found so many awesome gamers on G+ and you can only share 500 at a time I've broken my RPG gamers down into smaller circles sorted by "First Name" or whatever counts as that as far as google is concerned. This particular circle is my M-N circle. Now this contains people that in some way or another have indicated to me they are into pen and Paper RPGs. It includes designers, writers, podcasters, artists, world builders, publisher, games masters, players, fans and fanatics. If you do circle any of these fine folks it would be nice if you took some time to introduce yourself. You can do that by putting all the new people in their own circle, called say NEW PEOPLE and sending a message out to that circle. Once done you can sort them into whatever niche they belong in.||2012-10-19 19:20:39||418||0||1||4||CC G+|

Over the last year, the database has morphed into a shared circle and more recently into +Science on Google+: A Public Database. Due to the increasing overlap with the +Science on Google+: A Public Database, this will be the last time that I will be updating and sharing this circle. If you are a scientist, science teacher, or science writer, please feel free to add your profile/page to the +Science on Google+: A Public Database by filling out this form (http://goo.gl/yEg7M) and circling +Science on Google+: A Public Database.||2012-07-25 14:47:31||300||10||13||39||CC G+|

|Mitchel Rodwell||2,515||+Duncan Hayes , +Hanii Leigh this is my biggest circle, #Intellectual. I'd advise you follow either this or #Political, depending on which appeals to you more. As you can see, I follow a lot of very serious people, which is the sort of stuff I post as well. There's way more than what I've shared with you on +Google+ . There's +Handmade , there's +Android , there's +Funny Pictures & Videos . It's not just about serious stuff, even though that's what I mostly use it for.Anyway, happy G+ing! Make circles, post things, fill out your profiles, and if you see something really cool, share it! I don't have a good #Music circle, or a good #Photography circle, so one day you guys might share circles with me that I'd like :)P.s. Some useful tips. Google+ has #hashtag support, so when you put a "#" before a term it makes it a clickable link to see other times someone's mentioned that hashtag. So clicking #Intellectual up there would take you to a bunch of intellectual posts. And you tag people or pages with a "+" before their name.||2012-01-23 13:52:20||463||5||0||0||CC G+|

For those of you who are brand new to the service, I want you to understand:The key to enjoying Google+ is to have an active and engaged stream of content. Circle interesting people. To help you out, I'm sharing my carefully curated science circle. This list contains almost 250 people who are active on Google+ and regularly post about science topics. We've got scientists, journalists and science enthusiasts. If you import this circle, you'll see what I'm seeing, and I think you'll get why I like Google+ so much. If you don't import it, you'll see an empty screen and wonder why your friends haven't joined.I try to share this circle once a month or so, with some new faces, and the inactive people removed. So I suggest you import this list into a brand new circle which you can then replace when I send out an update._As always, if I've missed someone, please let me know and I'll be glad to add them for the next round._" Via +Fraser Cain #sharedcircle||2012-01-11 06:09:50||245||2||0||0||CC G+|

USGS Practical Primer On Geostatistics:
1. "Uncertainty is not an intrinsic property of a system; it is the result of incomplete knowledge by the observer."
2. Key difference between time series and spatial (geostatistical) analysis: Time series = extrapolation into the future. Geospatial analysis = INTERPOLATION of attribute in space.

Hello everyone, In order to keep Google+ manageable, I am limiting those I follow to around 200 for now. Especially in the science circle, there are many reshares that I see over and over again, and after a while my eyes cross. Feel free to kick me out, too, if you find my posts irrelevant. No point in shooting yourself with the G+ firehose and scaring yourself away (metaphors mixed - mission accomplished). However, if you're interested in (mostly goofball) commentary and discussion on geoscience, New Orleans, American infrastructure, Indian-American sociology and eBooks/digital rights, this is your channel. Thanks for your time.

Founder of Project Gutenberg, Michael Hart, passed away unexpectedly at his home in Urbana, Illinois a couple of days ago. The world has lost a true renaissance man and the one who first gave us the gift of electronic books (eBooks). I have lost my oldest friend and confidant in these United States.
Michael’s obituary as written by Greg Newby, CEO of Project Gutenberg, is attached to this post. I will miss you, Michael, you big, magnanimous, visionary goofball.

If you add folks on Google+ whom you don't know, could you at the very least please provide your real name, fill out your About section (context is useful in this case) and add a picture? Otherwise, you are Spam and will be treated as such.

Different modes of conversation are good; not everyone communicates the same way online or in real life. There doesn't need to and should not be one social media outlet to rule them all. It then just becomes a matter of how many different places are you and the people you communicated with willing to log in to.

How do you mute (or "hide") people, not just one or two posts, on this thing? One idea: Put them in a circle of one and mute it.
