Warfare by Megaponera analis.
They came marching in at dawn, shoulder to shoulder they formed long winding columns of wordless but well-armed soldiers in gleaming dark armor that stretched as long as the eye could see. 500 men passed us by with the rising sun painting the light of this new day behind their backs. But this would not be a day of peaceful tranquility under the light of the rising sun, instead, the sun rose up from beneath the horizon as the herald of war and death in what we all knew would turn out be just another day in their relentless campaign.

4 times per day their armies marched like the well-oiled clockwork they were, through the gates they lay claim to the outside of their walled-in home and fortified trenches, they did so in what looked like endless and orderly dark lines stretching across the abandoned path that continued down the lake... more »

The Gateway Earth Chaebol. A 2028AD stand alone sci-fi short story.
'The Musk colony' as it was informally called could right now be thought of as a real but still very challenged success simply because the fleet had actually managed to reach their destination and somewhat to his own surprise, the entire fleet was still operational, bruised but functional.

And considering how space travel and logistics had been prone to so many errors in the decades leading up to their unparalleled launch, the fact that they were all here, it was nothing but amazing. Taken for granted by the crew, by now at least, but still nothing but amazing.

And while it was true, that they still had not actually put any human feet on the ground. Or even landed a single ship or UAV.

We had reached our destination.

And we had deployed the organic magnetic shield that now wrapped around the planet like a thin layer, and it lived, it was operational and it was holding up and over time, a natural atmosphere had taken hold and biologically it was rapidly evolving closer to the point where we would finally be able to breathe the air without having to shield ourselves behind our domes and suits just to survive.

So it was a success in so many incredible ways. Despite the fact that they were still locked up in space, shielded from the sun and space inside this floating marvel of steel and glass. But being out here, above the planet, seeing the atmosphere take hold, it was a good thing, it was a life saver because life on the ship had started to wear heavily on the small fleet of ships that now orbited this planet.

But soon we would finally be able to touch down, to at last go ahead and unload our cargo, set camp and walk outside and once again get accustomed to breathing real air, instead of this recycled thing we kept calling home. To think that I would soon experience natural sunlight against the skin yet again. My fucking god, that will be so good. Pure bliss awaited my fucking god it really was about to happen.

Adrian smiled at the thought of unloading their indoor gardens, and the simple act of being able to transplant half of the annual crops outside in the soil.

For some strange reason, the mere thought of growing something as ordinary and quite dull as potatoes and their gene-edited strawberries on a completely new planet. To finally see organic GMO earth life take hold and grow in soil from a virgin ecosystem completely untouched by human hands and feet made him feel pretty giddy and beaming with hope. Yeah, it was a bit of a drained hope, a muted jolt of energy. But nonetheless, it was pure hope and pure exhilarating joy.

It was a level of excitement like he had not felt since the day they left Earth.

And behind the exhaustion, the stress and dull relentless monotony and demands that had drained him dry he had in parts been transported back through time to his early childhood Christmas mornings.

Those long forgotten years and exhilarating moment when he would open his eyes, already knowing what day it was, tossing the blanket to the side, and putting his feet down on the cold floorboards as he rushed through the still silent house, down the open stairs with the glass rail, and into the living room with the natural conifer that they kept growing for real all year round in the big and open living room and all the presents that lay waiting for him and the others, pure life joy, gift wrapped and all in front of the big open fireplace.

Yeah.

That kind of excitement was rising in him and he could see it in the faces of the entire crew too. There was a new layer of shine and vibrancy to the voices and expression of every single one of the brave and capable people that made up his crew and passengers.

Yes, they were tired, everyone of them, and they all knew that they had started to cut things very short, they all felt it, and they all looked the part, but for every day they came closer to that enigmatic moment that was touchdown there was a new edge inside of them that grew stronger and more visibly filled their voices and eyes, the shine on their skin and hair beamed just a little bit extra with life and exhilarating anticipation.

Their voices and entire movement came back to life with renewed vigor and vibrant energy.

Just a few more days.
Just a few more days, he kept repeating that phrase inside of his own mind, it was in fact, by now stuck on endless repeat inside his own mind. Audible to no one else but himself and his ai. And he could not stop repeating it.

That phrase consumed him as it bounced around his insides.

Just a few more days and they would land this bird, discard the drones and start printing their very first base home and this colonization thing would finally be under way in a real way, in a significant and life changing way.

Long delayed, and much needed.
But now here we are he thought, and today he did not spare a single thought in his mind on life back on Earth.

He did not wonder about their abandoned garden anymore.
No thoughts on how old Erdoğan had kept clinging on to power that was not his to have while the ocean and warmth and turmoil continually built higher around the world.

No thought on the North Korean crisis or the whole sordid Trump thing that had still been unraveling as endless ripples as their ship left the docking station just outside of Earths atmosphere for the last time ever.

He did not think about the pollution or the jobless, the rising water or the greedy wars.
No, he did not contemplate about the old world at all.

In his mind, he did not obsess about that last far away earthly marble for the billionth time as it continually grew smaller and smaller until his eyes could not make it out to be Earth anymore.

No, not today, today his eyes and mind were focused on this new home, this unexplored world that lay waiting for them, that was the thing that consumed him as he looked down at the red planet that floated far beneath their ships and feet.

It´s hue of thin blue and white kept fleetingly changing in the turning light as they all traversed through space locked together in orbit around that burning star not far away.

Looking down he thought about how remarkable it all was, a far away planet that had lost its own atmosphere hundreds of millions of year ago, or so his annoying as fuck science chief had told him, and now, there it was, once again with a natural atmosphere growing and breathing organically, man-made as its origin was, it was by now an actual living, thriving even, aspect of this planet's biological ecosystem. Deep beneath the growing atmosphere, he could see the gigantic dust clouds that formed in the torrent of air that tore the surface apart, a reminder that life on this planet was alive and livable, but not at all resembling life on Earth.

This was a new kind of life. A new wild harbor, and a new unexplored home.

And that thought was all that floated through his transfixed mind and eye this day.

The doors opened behind him and he could feel the presence of the man that entered the room, long before he took to words.

Before the man had time to speak, he let out a breath of air and said.
Yes?

We are running low, the man replied.
And the cryo?

It´s all good, nothing to report with no new incidents the last 72 hours.

The atmosphere should be livable in 8 more weeks. So cut the rations as hard as is possible, and seal the floor. We will just have to make do.

Crunch the full data set once more overnight and give me a personal report tomorrow, I seriously just can not stand that fucking science talk of Dr Richardson right now, one more of his word salad and 'I got a stick up my ass' science sentences of his and I swear my head will explode and pop right off, so give me your version once you have it all, first thing tomorrow. OK?.

I hear you, the man chuckled.
So, 8 more weeks?.

The silence fell in the room as they both found themselves looking down towards the same planetary view beneath them.

They both knew what that meant, they had seen the data, over and over and over again, and it never changed. It was the situation that kept ticking down, not the day and date when the atmosphere would be safe and ready.

8 more weeks, fuck me, they both thought the very same thing, standing in this silent room with an alien world far beneath their feet, there was no real use for words. It was what it was. And they both knew it as well as the other.

He looked at the man beside him. The silence had been busy choking the lights out in the room for more than half an hour by now, but they were sitting down now.

And between them, a real handmade chess board in marble held both their attention during a silent game of minds.

The other man moved a rock behind a pair of pawns.

The entire board and all its pieces were as much a work of handmade art as it was a game of war and intelligence. And the handmade pieces and board caught the light of the outside world as it kept moving and breathing outside their window.

Reflecting the pulse of the stars and living planet outside in the black and white marble that was as polished as a blank mirror.

He frowned and started laughing, 'you know, I fucking hate chess!'.
The other man leaned back in his chair as he stretched his arms straight out and with a smile he confessed to fucking hating chess too, my god how he hated this game and the strange fucking way it made their entire life on this god forsaken fleet feel like they were all trapped in a cursed time loop.

'It´s a fucking hallway of repetition playing you'. the man said.

They both started to laugh as the red planet kept turning outside their window.

He moved the knight and said nothing more.
But for the first time this day he did think about life on Earth, he thought about her profile, her naked, sculpted shoulders and the curvature of her collar bones.

He thought about her long feminine hair, her sculpted arms and back, her full breasts and the way she looked dressed in nothing but that white corset.

As always, the memories of her pantiless and shaved privates, dressed in nothing but that white corset turned him on unlike anything else in life, she gave him purpose. Joy, life, and energy.

Those memories and the profound reality of the emotional and physical response in body and mind was his anchor with earth and the life they had left behind.

She was his bridge into the unknown future. And all the rest, that was left behind, all those other things he had no more room for that in his mind, not today, not now.

He had a game of chess to win, a world to colonize and he had to make it safe and turn it into a second livable home, and she was every reason needed, every lesson learned, every hope and memory.

Here is another stand alone short from my shared book universe, this one is called The common cyborg and this scene takes place down on Earth.

The ancient battle of fun and health, and serious life-saving skills
Martial arts is as old as sex. Yes, people talk about bedtime skills as the ancient one. But really, people have been making out as long as we have been painting caves and bashing heads, collecting berries and fought for fun. Martial arts is as old as the ancient toddler. Long before it called itself a human being.

We have always known to play for fun, because like every other animal species we knew that learning to fight and being physical as children were incredibly healthy for our longevity and we also knew that it was a vital skill to learn how to survive when the going got tough.

And it always gets tough at some point in life.

One reason why today's world is plagued with obesity is that adults feed children nothing but crap as if the adults are still mental kids themselves incapable of seeing the harm they cause. But the other and equally big reason are that adults have forgotten how vital it is to encourage and promote and allow themselves and each other and every kid to grow up fighting for fun.

Playing in physical tests that might bruise you and bloody your nose up promotes better health and more evolved young and old.

Kushti wrestlers, however, they still get it.
Now man up adults of both genders and bloody your nose, I promise that doing so will provide both better health and better, more capable bodies and more joyous hearts :)

Why death metal speaks to my soul with the richness of the subtle and earthly beauty of the Scandinavian landscapes.

Life is this endless canvas of soft and hard, varied in the raw and softly spoken whispers, and inside of that endless change and variation it gladly have room for differing taste in music, and my kind of metal is absolutely not for everyone :).

As such I have never been surprised that most of the same people that find something pleasingly calm or beautiful in my writing and photography usually consider it an absurd contradiction that I so happily mix it up with grinding death metal of various shades. But for me it speaks with the same voice.

You see, to me music like Noctem, which you can find represented here in this article is the hymn of life itself. It is part of that same natural palette that makes life so rich and endlessly beautiful for me.

Like the 'civilized pagan' that goes to war with the weights in the gym and the pleasant, subdued siren song of the northern realms. It calls with the same expression and it speaks to the same canvas of earthly, boundless colors and emotions.

It is a raw and vibrant voice that speaks of life's full scope with the same beautiful and visceral life force, that is so very much alive and raging free in the Nordic outdoors, yet like the flowing landscapes of our arctic home, instead of resembling kitschy hdr done wrong, it is an emotional and softly fluttering song of changing organic beauty which is steeped with all the energy, heart and emotional, almost minimalistic touch of that serene Scandinavian nature and the earthly colored landscapes I often write about and capture in my photos.

I can for obvious reasons see why the music might seem contradictory to others, but to me tho, these things walk beautifully hand in hand as the honest celebration of life that they are, as they create and form new moments together.

They make each other whole, just as how life is made up of all its beautiful pieces. Someone else recently spoke about sexual kinks, and she is, of course, 100% right, you are complete only the real way that you are, life, you, sex, nature, music, the things you like and dislike.

Speak plainly and openly, embrace it and share it without shame and regrets with your lovers.

Explore and enjoy it all. That holds true in life and nature, and the bed between naughty, kinky consensual adults, because that is the whole you.

And that is the beauty of the flowing landscape of Scandinavia, the mountains that rise up out of the fjords, the permafrost that refuses to thaw, and the swelling ocean which we perpetually rise up further out of, and in the same 10 000-year-old and counting forests, those hills and trees and ancient mountains, they also hurl themselves with a hungry smile back down to the same cold deep, they do so in search of the leviathan.

And screaming, they breach the surface and shoot back up to the moon.

It is the land of Vikings, and it sings to us in a subtle voice, raw and full of all its kinks, without a care for imaginary gods and man-made ideas that are only designed to subjugate and restrict who you can be allowed to be, it is visceral, and perfect just the way it is.

It is the ancient pagan old that is buried deep in the soil of the ever tree, where it transforms and evolve, endlessly becoming something new that cling towards the skyward stars with each sunrise and calling bird, it is the living past that makes out with the changing future, alive and vital soaring with the howl of the wolves and the naked soul.

The dancing butterflies and the smallest of flowers.

It is the ebb and sea, and the serenity of the visceral winter at its darkest point and snowy white that both eats the sun and spits it out with dancing sheets of green.

It is the muddy spring, the dull and muted pale northern tones, the white-tailed eagle and the lynx that is so shy yet fierce. It is the place where girls can be as horny and free as the men.

Metal and the Northern realms, like life always holds this dynamic range-defying and full of subtle serenity that speaks with old wisdom and relentless vigor, fully there, yet not always apparent.

Death metal is also quite often spoken of as a Scandinavian flavor, and in truth, the same poetry that is nature's solemn but raw and subtle Nordic beauty that creates each passing day in new but connected variations is very much the same natural whispers and poem that is death metal in every shape and form.

It is the threeway that is unashamed and free and honest, in all its pleasures, and it is good music that catches the setting sun as it slowly burn itself into the ground, the westward mountains and the open ocean.

And this, and much more is why death metal walks hand in hand with nature and life, my writing and photography because these things, they are all the calling of the Earth and it is the unspoken joy of life and peoples every shade.

That complete and changing whole is what speaks directly to our Viking soul because that landscape, the music, the changing seasons of the mountains and archipelago, the forests, this planet and the tunes of metal, the raw and simple truth of the world and the people, it is the wordless whispers from all the corners of this world and all these things converse in mutual and unbridled joy with our Viking soul.

The song of life and nature speaks to us, and we speak in union with it.

As for the photo, this beautiful lakeside morning somewhere in Scandinavia did spend a few years in a previous but ultimately unfinished form, and further down this collection you can find that earlier version, but now it has found its final form in this fine art incarnation.

Changing but complete.

Besides, this article by Nina is pretty much spot on with recent conversations I have had here in my healthier living collection with some of you in recent days :).

And as such, I will happily let my own message get amplified by the voice of health and fitness advocate Nina Cherie.

My own message is simple and clear, if you are a girl wishing for nothing but a healthier and more petite and toned body, that maintain and enhance your femininity, worry less and lift weights girl :).

And now, for Dr Nina. One short quote from her article on why girls desiring a more toned and petite feminine body should 100% include weights in their life.

And once done, head on over to her website to read the entire article, and why not also give her health and fitness collections a go, you will even find me popping in on her posts with a comment or two from time to time :).

To curse in the gym, or not.
That is the strange question :).
Right now the whimsical science of using curse words in the gym is making the rounds around the world amongst less fitness focused outlets, such as The Verge.

But seriously, there is no need to use curse words or to ever entertain the thought that certain words increase your gym performance.
What that whimsical study hints at is, however, the real science that every real & raw gym grunter and serious athlete already know perfectly well.

When you amp your own primal ‘lizard’ brain up and you go to ‘war’ with your workout. In every set or whatever workout or fitness challenge it is that you do, you 100% improve your performance because that is how we hominids are designed in body and mind.

So next gym visit or forest trail run or MMA fight.

Amp your primal beast and go to war with your workout, push your physical boundaries up an extra notch by pushing your primal mind and body into that mental state of war. Because when you go into that good old pagan state of mindful determination, your body will follow your mind beyond the expected limitations of what you can do, and the simple, recurring reward is you becoming stronger, faster and more tenacious and durable, every single time.

And that is real fitness science and with zero need for curse words. What it comes down to is you learning how to harness the full potential of body & mind working together.

The mental warfare of fitness and the potential of the civilized pagan.

This is also why some will see their fitness drive and edge diminish as they mature and become more civilized and calm in life.

As we grow older and more complete emotionally and intellectually in life, most people become not just more mature and more polished incarnations of their younger selves in life.

A lot of people also tend to 'forget' that fitness and pushing the physical limitations of your body is as much about the mental aspect as it is about the physical bit, you need to teach your mind to hit that primal beast zone in order for your body to give all of what it has to give that particular day and moment.

The saying is, you become what you eat. And that is true.
But it is also true that you become the way you train. And as a result of that, as people ease off on powering through and instead of giving 100% settle for an 'ah well, I gave it a 70% effort today' the wavering mind will over time result in a wavering fitness level.

So learn to work your mind each workout as much as your body, transforming yourself into a civilized pagan.

Be a civilized zen pond of wonders outside of the fitness challenge, and flick the switch and unleash that primal pagan whenever you hit the weights or the forest trail, the MMA cage or the ice hockey game, the morning lake swim or the yoga class.

Transform your fitness thing into a mental colosseum where the only way to conquer the challenge is to empty 100% of everything your body and mind has to give that day. Transforming the goal from easing through things as easy as possible to pouring it all out on the floor.

When you can learn to harness your mind to push every cell, every ounce of strength and determination, and to use up every gram of atp and muscle glycogen and to completely disregard the lactate buildup and just keep going, that is when you will truly tap into the full potential of your own body and as long as you feed it proper recovery and food you will reap endless amounts of benefits in health and fitness.

And that starts inside of your mind because like your muscles and heart, you have to train your mind to become that tool. The solution is not cheap words, the solution is you mastering that pagan switch and going at it every single workout.

So next workout, go to war with your fitness challenge and cement the long term truth that the only adversary of progress and fitness is more than anything you not giving 100% of all that you had that day. Most of the time it is the mind that fails the body even before you start training and not the other way around.

But if you instead learn to harness the potential of your own mind and body, and if you apply that to every single workout and fitness challenge the reward will 100% come out as improved health and fitness, and mental determination over time.

Take a look at the official United Nations data used in this short equality post. Where you will also find plenty more nations being represented.

http://www.unwomen.org/en/digital-library/publications/2017/4/women-in-politics-2017-map#view

But creating a healthy society and real equality in this world between class and gender, culture and origin is for obvious reasons not just about pure numbers, instead it comes solely down to what the individual people actually stand for, appointing people to important positions in society mean very little if, for instance, those that are appointed work against equality and progress, such as Paula White that spend her days behind the scenes of the White house administration whispering sweet lies based on imaginary gods, greed and intolerance into the ears and minds of the population and government.

Because when that is the case it becomes just another wasted opportunity to make the world a better place and instead you are actually moving the world backward.

So make your choices count and move the world towards a planet that is both more progressive and equal, catering to real equality, real science, real progress and real health and wellbeing.

Optional
Casein protein powder.

This Is What You Do:

Hang the yogurt in a muslin cloth for 4 hours or till all the water drains out of it, leaving behind thick, creamy curds. Don’t forget to place a bowl under it to collect the whey that can be used in other recipes, like in bread dough.

Or you can do the easy and quick thing and buy Greek yogurt or Sugar-free Kvarg and a splash of thick creamy sugar-free yoghurt mixed with the Kvarg for a quick fix.

Beat the curds smooth, add honey and stir till it dissolves.

Add crushed cardamom seeds.

Peel and slice the fruit and add it to the yoghurt mix.
If you are so inclined you can torture the fruit in a mixer until you have the desired consistency, but if you are like me you will prefer the organic texture and density of real fruit slices and berries in the yogurt.

Optional

Garnish with berries and more cardamom seeds on top.

Serve chilled, and for added protein, ( which have added benefits for muscular growth and recovery all the way up to 40-50g of protein per serving ) you can add 15-30g of casein protein to the mix before you add the fruit and berries on top.

Serves 2

Hit up the website of Maria for the original recipe and for even more healthy & tasty succulent recipes.

And right there, caught in the cross section of this world that was made up of nothing but dry sand that screamed endlessly for water to quench its thirst, that was when you fell to your knees in exhaustion. Blisters on your arms, and cuts and bruises that painted your bare skin, like painted tattoos from the old world. Blood and dark ink upon human flesh came to a scratching halt as your hands slammed into the ground, ruptured skin and blood melted into the sandy soil.

But there were no time to loose and we could not allow anyone to slip and stumble, not now, not with the barrier of sound rapidly making its way towards us from the labyrinth of human filth and excrements that we had just left behind us, so I urged you to get back up to your feet as I reached my hand out to grab yours.

As I write this, I do not know if you heard me at all in that moment, or if I had even spoken out loud, but I do remember with vivid clarity how your dry hair caressed your emancipated face, and I knew that you had never looked more radiant and beautiful before, not in my eyes as you coughingly clawed your way back up from the sand and dirt, leaving traces of blood and oily sweat on the ground.

Moments later, we hid together behind a perforated shed of rotten planks, worn down concrete and rusty steel.

We hid there, huddled down in silence and aching throbbing low jolts of pain in the not dark enough shadows. Neighter of us spoke, and perhaps we did not even breathe at this point.

The world was silent, and so where we.

We hid away from the world right there, and we waited.

We waited for them to find us. For someone to sell us out for a loaf of bread and point them in our direction, we waited for our dirty footprints to betray our location.

We waited for bad luck to strike, and for this day to turn even worse.
We waited for death to call us home.

But none of that happened, and instead, hours later as the sun started to fade you found this long forgotten journal in the rubble and filth behind our shelter, a leather bound journal in gritty pale brown with the words "a matter of trees" scribbled on the first page inside its bland and humble covers.

You found this journal hours before we escaped, and in part, I guess it kind of helped change our lives. Who wrote it, we will never know, and I do not think anyone ever will.

Perhaps no one else will ever read it, and if they do I doubt that they will ever get to know that we wrote most of the rest of this journal.

At least I think this journal will end with the end of our own journey.

It had no proper end, no it did not, not the day we found it, and not today as I write this, and nothing in this journal ever revealed a single personal detail to disclose who had started writing it. Or even why they ended it abruptly in the middle of a paragraph.

There was no purpose revealed, not directly at least.
But there was real purpose in the words, there was purpose inside of the stories it told.

This was a book steeped in magic, the words were all born in the magic of life and truth.

And as such, the few entries that it contained like an ancient tomb that beckons you, it awoke this fewer in us, it spoke to the truth we had hidden away deep inside, that this is wrong, and that life should be so much more. It stirred up lost and buried energy and it gave us a different kind of resolve and strength as we hid away in the darkness.

The journal called to us, and as delusional it might sound, we knew that it spoke the simple truth. We knew that it was not a lie.

And so we escaped, to seek that truth.
To follow this journal, and as it is, it just did not matter to us at all who wrote it or why.

It did not matter to us at all that whoever started this journal obviously never finished it, and the unspoken reality of that, that they never got their own happy ending, that did not matter to us either.

We escaped to pursue this dream, we escaped to follow in this unknown authors path, to continue their work and to see for ourselves. And perhaps, we would even find out why they had made their way back to this forgotten, god awful place.

We escaped because this was not how life was supposed to be, this was wrong and we knew it, we knew that this life of servitude and bottomless despair that they pushed upon us, it would never lead to anything but misery and the same slow drawn out death that happened to every other person that was born into the same kind of servitude.

And we desperately wanted more, we needed more because we knew that life was more and so, we escaped because anything was better than this.

Even if rising up from our knees would lead to nothing but death, it was still better to stand up, to escape and to dig deep down in a quest for something better. At least, that way we would have lived for real like real humans.

I still remember that day, and the way that the rest of our real life started, I remember the way we left the shadows, sprinting into the night on wobbly legs and empty minds, I remember the starvation and fatigue, and I remember the snow.

I remember how we fell once again, how we lost our footing on snow and ice, I remember the surprise in your eyes and how I knew that expression so perfectly well mirrored my own.

Can you imagine that, that the first few steps we took towards a real life, was met with something as alien and unimaginable as snow!.

For the first time in as many years as I can remember having lived, it was actually snowing.

At first, we did not even understand what it was, it was not until much later that we realized that it was snow, that all this white cold that burned our skin and made our lungs scream in pain inside of us was nothing but real snow.

So we ran into a night of snow that wrapped around our face and body, not with warmth and fabric, but with a strange coldness that was both wet and biting, yet those flakes of coldness that seemed to lay like blankets around the moon and the stars and the few electrical lights that were left intact this close to the border, that coldness, it warmed us too.

I will never understand how something so small and bitingly cold can devour the entire world with white coldness, and yet somehow, as cold as it is it seemingly warms you too.

But well, it was magnificent to witness the whitening of an entire world that up until this moment had spent every day and moment that I am aware of in scorching heat and suffocating dust and sand.

At daybreak, when the sun once again returned, it was still snowing and the rising sun revealed a world of soft white on the ground and above us in the sky, the air around us and the entire world, it was an endless white rain that made it impossible to see with clarity beyond our own hand, and for the first time in my life, it was as if we were actually walking inside of a daylight dream without even having to sleep.

It was a beautiful white dream of silent softness, and I will never forget that moment, when in front of us, a solitary flower all of a sudden revealed itself from that white world and how it seemed to guide our way further into a life of freedom, it was such a small flower, but inside that snowy day it seemed like it was the biggest lighthouse in the entire world that rose up out of the white and blurry world, unmoved and unfazed by anything this world could throw it.

That flower guided us towards the future as we followed the hazy past of some unknown writer.

At least we followed their words, and the emotional impact that they had left behind, and perhaps it had been written by several others, perhaps it was not real, but we followed that dream straight into the snow, we followed the few entries that someone had left behind in this book, and we set out to make it our own, guided by a snowy flower and some john does long abandoned words.

And so it was, that the solitary tree stood out in the open, in front of the entire forest that waited in union for the first word to be uttered.

What would it speak of?. And what could it have to say.
The thoughts transpired like the traveling seeds of daisies and dandelions throughout their roots and crowns as the conversation spread across the forest, through the soil that joined them all together deep beneath the surface, and it jumped across their crowns like a band of squirrels out on their daily tree top workout.

But the lonesome tree remained patiently silent.

It was not yet a grown up tree, but it already bore the souls of old within, and it did, in fact, know its strength and growing wisdom, and more importantly, perhaps, it understood the limitation of its own and others current knowledge.

It was not yet a grown up tree, but it already bore the souls of old within, and it did, in fact, know its strength and growing wisdom, and more importantly, perhaps, it understood the limitation of its own and others current knowledge.

So it waited.

It waited for the slowly moving breeze that approached across the flowing hills and trees. It waited for the sun to reach its place, and it waited for the duckling family to come to pause down by the creek.

But most of all it simply waited for the white-tailed eagles to announce their presence. Not because it actually needed them to appear, it was just that it simply liked the way they announced their arrival for the world to hear. It was such a beautiful language, and it always made it happy the way the eagles casually swooped in and took the center stage as they let out their soaring clock-like sounds without a care, so it waited like a patient tree that knew it had quite a bit of time on its side.

It was, after all, a still growing tree and the stars would shimmer this night too.
And everybody needed happiness. That much was certain.

And that is why the entire forest stood in guard this day, quietly murmuring and patiently waiting for the wind to rattle this lonesome tree that stood in front of them all, right out in the open field.

The witness account has been faithfully retold, honoring the way it was written down in journal 248 of "a matter of trees".

Book: "a matter of trees", by Mike Koontz is a fictional narrative from a world divided. Is it our past, or our future. What is real and what is just an imaginary journal. This is a short excerpt from the final book, due out in 2017.

And the ash tree spoke out loud from where it was standing at the end of roadsides waypoint.
At the place where the meadow reaches out into the night of deserts, and the forsaken rusty land of the abandoned industrial complexes carry on for as long as the eye of any living thing can see, this unexpected meeting of species had happened.

'I am a living, breathing, thinking tree, what are you'

They stood in silence, in front this towering massive tree whose roots and branches seemed to stretch and reach through both clouds and soil, moving like slow snakes through the waist high grass and flowers.

Three silent wretched beings dressed in dust and soil, messy hair and a sparse few patches of worn down clothes was all that still covered them.

They had not known that they had crossed an unspoken line as they had stepped onto the lush, green meadows. But crossed it they sure had done as they had stumbled across the invisible border, leaving the forbidden wasteland world heritage behind.

And now the tree demanded answers by the wretched shapes that stood at the gates of its meadow.

What comes to mind this wind-free and sunny day is this thought that people only ever see the real reflection of magic and beauty in life if they themselves have experienced enough of its endless mysteries to have reached that vague but insightful point that things are never actually perfect, not in the way some thrive for perfection in their own life and in other people, but some things can, however, absolutely and totally be perfectly imperfect.

So, this perfectly flawed moment of mine, and the resulting creative capture it lead to, as flawed as it was in its everyday magic, it is also pretty perfect just the way it is and happened, and so for those that are fully appreciative of how completely rewarding and beautiful and essential the imperfections that surround every aspect of life & people actually are.

Enjoy it all, life and this humble and flawed moment, exactly for what it is.

Because that is a simple truth, the 'perfection' that exists in life will only be perfect as much due to their every imperfection as they are thanks to the aspects that are conceived as 'perfect'. That is the balance that creates the life improving things you view and appreciate as wonderfully perfect.

Be it at home, or during time away, in sex or our meeting with other people or in the smallest and simplest moments, such as when this wild bird came swooping in to survey the wild forest squirrel that speeds along the tree branches that you can not see, just to the right of this view.

As it spread its wings and gracefully came to a break upon the gnarly branches, I knew it had not yet made up its mind regarding the squirrel.

You could see the curious question that spread across its brain matter, and how it´s own lifetime of experiences helped to guide the question and the answer,
'Was this funny little speedster squirrel just a short but appreciated break from daily struggle and should it be left alone, to be enjoyed from afar as the entertaining joy it had the potential to be if I just sit here and breathe in this day.',

Or

'Could this squirrel that rushed so gracefully across the trees, chirping its peculiar song that bounced between the barren birch trees and swaying pine trees like a wildlife serenade possibly be turned into food, and was that what I actually wanted?.'.

It takes an appreciative heart and evolving curiosity for life itself and stubborn strength to appreciate the very real but subtle magic that every day provides inside of the smallest of moments such as this.

But it is there for everyone that can truly find that peaceful and life improving insight.

And so, I got to see this forest bird take it´s joyful time, observing and appreciating the speedster squirrel until that moment when it turned to look at me, and said, 'enjoy your day, this was fun', and as grace-like as it came flying in atop my head, it once again spread those wings out and away from it´s body and was greeted by the currents of the wind that hailed it off from the branches and without another word it sailed in silence further into the forest, having enjoyed the presence of me and our mutual friend, the speeding squirrel.

And is that not a moment of joy and pure magic that can only exist right inside of every little day, just the way it is.

Well, no matter what you might answer, that is what both I and the bird, and the squirrel all thought as we crossed paths with each other for the slightest of moments this day before the three of us continued with our respective day.

And soon we will meet again, in another equally flawed, yet perfect moment, because that is the funny way that life works when you open your eyes and heart to all its wonders allowing yourself to enjoy the things you like, just the way they are, perfectly imperfect and all.

And perhaps I will have the camera right in hand that time too, or I won't, but either way, it will be another simple, yet, perfectly imperfect moment, no matter its endless flaws.

Book: "The Juniper Tree'', is a short fantasy crime drama about a family murder and rebirth. This is an 1 hour long 'monster under the bed' bedtime read.

The Juniper Tree was written by 'the brothers Grimm'. And details the horrible fate of a little boy that gets murdered, and eaten. Only to stage a mighty comeback and claim his revenge as he claws himself back to the realm of the living.

Just like a fairy tale, short and sweet and perfect for a ghostly bedtime read :).

-
I did edit the recipe and removed the sugar because that is how I rule in my kitchen, I slay the sugar :). And I also changed the tsbn of lemon juice to a fresh lemon to press over the finished dish for added natural taste and moist.

So if you crave the original recipe, make sure to head on over to Azlin's website for the full recipe.

recipe 4 servings

240g/8.5oz white crab meat
10 or more strawberries
quarter cucumber
large handful tomatoes
1 avocado
handful salad leaves of your choice like watercress, lamb's lettuce
4 basil leaves

1 fresh lemon, press it over the finished meal

Optional, serve with these spicy additions sprinkled on top

freshly ground black pepper
red chili flakes
sesame seeds

Now, since it includes crab, which does taste phenomenal and comes loaded with healthy quality nutrition, I do have to point out that you absolutely need to make informed choices. Do not buy crab from crappy fisheries that could not care less about destroying fish stock and our oceans. Make informed choices and buy crab from fisheries that make sure to respect endangered and overfished populations, no fishing zones, and do not pollute the ocean for you and everybody else.

And now that you have made it this far, why not hit up the foodie site of Azlin and check out a bunch of her other treats and dishes.

Biological Age
[ is at the end of the day about the accumulation of your everyday lifestyle choices ]

One short scientific fact from my article.

How about the simple fact that if you eat more protein as you grow older, even those that are more or less sedentary hold on to a substantially higher percentage of their lean muscle mass compared to those elderly or young people that eat less protein on a daily basis. Combine that higher protein intake with cardio and weights on a daily basis and you have a very simple recipe for holding on to a much more physically healthy and athletic body and mind even in your 80´s.

Depicted is a slowly transforming Scandinavian birch tree that will remain passed out flat, laying down on the ground. Destined to give birth to a new kind of life that is just as important as the many world improving things that each tree does as they grow and sway in the current of the wind.

But in today's world, it is sadly all too rare to leave trees to live long enough to become and lay claim to the autumn of their natural cycle of life, despite the fact that trees that fall or grow old and collapse for one reason, or another. They are actually an essential part of a keeping a strong and healthy planet Earth.

Some species of wildlife and plants and the very soil itself need those after life meadows that fallen and dying trees provide, and in turn, planet Earth needs that bed of fallen trees to seed new soil and fertile pastures in a health providing way that just does not happen without a sufficient amount of worn down trees to complete the naturally sustainable cycle of life.

So that is what this tree will be allowed to do, spend it´s sleepy autumn days laying down on the ground while it is providing needed life and nutrition for all the things that could not live otherwise, transforming itself into a new kind of life.

Make sure to get anything from 2 to 4 minutes of rest between each set for this trial by fire.

Once done, there is no rest for the wicked to lay all lazy and proud, and as such, once you are done with doing bench press like this, resume the rest of your normal chest workout. And, remember, in this world of Vikings, we do not listen to anything but metal :).

200kg ( 441 lbs ) x 8 = 1600 ( Viking applauds for you ).
150kg ( 331 lbs ) x 10 = 1500 ( a silent victory )
120kg ( 265 lbs ) x 12 = 1440 ( close enough, be mighty proud )
100kg ( 220 lbs ) x 15 = 1500
80 kg ( 176 lbs ) x 19 = 1520
60 kg ( 132 lbs ) x 25 = 1500

For those of you that are proudly and impressively powering through this exercise challenge by reaching failure at 20+ reps.

You are killing it!.
No other way to put it, but I know 100% that you can reach 1500kg with just a little bit more weight on the barbell and as such, using fewer reps, so aim for that going forward. Torture ( and improve ) your willpower and body by aiming to hit that failure a tad bit quicker.

Bring down the reps over time by slowly increasing the weight on your barbell, there is no need to rush it, but doing so will tune up your fitness and health levels.

But we all run the same distance, just in a different amount of time. And as such, unless you did quit it mentally speaking and decided not to exhaust your body, the relative challenge is the same.

So for your next chest workout. Let us take a walk through something different. Forget about deciding the weight on the barbell just so you can do your usual 8 reps or whatever it is that you might do.

Instead, once you have finished your warm up, put on a suitable weight and start repping away, but do not quit until you have lifted a total of 1000kg in that set, and aim to do it with as few reps as possible.

Rest for 4 minutes and repeat until you have done that 1000kg per set for 3 whole set.

This will play out like something like this, a petite and fit 50kg girl will perhaps have to do 20+ reps in one set to reach 1000kg, while a fit 90kg guy might hit 1000kg in 10 reps, and a hulk like guy that competes in the world's strongest man might reach it in 5 reps.

Either way, you have all pushed your body the same comparatively challenging way. And does it not feel pretty good mentally and physically to have crushed 1000kg ( 2205 lbs ) times three :).

Once done you can resume with your normal chest workout.

200kg ( 441lbs ) x 5 = 1000kg
140kg ( 309 lbs ) x 7 = 980kg ( close enough )
120kg ( 264lbs ) x 8 = 960kg ( close enough )
100kg ( 220lbs ) x 10 = 1000kg
75kg ( 165lbs ) x 14 = 1050kg
60kg ( 132lbs ) x 17 = 1020kg
50kg ( 110lbs ) x 20 = 1000kg

It slowly happens over time, you know, by the hands of natural evolution and life itself, it happens through every second of every day that ticks us by. From the way the earth turns, and the soil grows, the way that water and wind erode things over the course of eternity.

It happens through the tunnels that ants and termites build and the way that sand polish stone.

The way we walk and swim, build and leave behind things, the water that carves it´s own, changing path through the rocky cold mountains, the roots of the trees that refuse to die after 10 000 years and slowly crack the ground open.

The way we walk and swim, build and leave behind things, the water that carves it´s own, changing path through the rocky cold mountains, the roots of the trees that refuse to die after 10 000 years and slowly crack the ground open.

It is found in the way that trees evolve and change to adapt to ants and the way that those ants respond in kind.

It is found in the way that the receding water pulls back from the mountain it used to cover, and it is found in the way the ocean rise up to cover land that used to be dry as hell. And it is seen in the way that wolves and beavers alter the path that was carved by entire rivers, and together with the elk, they shape the surrounding forest into something stronger and more resilient to undo the negative changes that more blind people create unknowingly in their reckless way.

It is found in the way that dust from far away stars land on planet Earth, the radiation that spreads across the universe and takes hold and life in our plants and trees.

The way that birds create new meadows.

That living planet and ever changing natural life that connects all of the unknown universe that´s what created this, and it is what led to the changing moment that one day got captured by a mutant human. And tomorrow, this natural, living thing that is our planet will continue to evolve and adapt, making this tree covered mountainous sculpture that looks like half a ball floating on top a tranquil body of water a living, breathing thing of our past, our present, and our evolving future.

Workout lab: Back 101, v01

Warmup:
2 set x 10 reps: Standing barbell row.

Like with our previous workout lab for triceps we are warming up via a kick ass compound exercise, and as always that takes care of warming up all involved joints and surrounding muscles. Getting your body & mind ready to go for the task ahead. Do each rep in a controlled and proper movement, stretch your back and biceps in between sets and rest for 30 to 60 seconds.

Once done, increase the weight and get to work.

Standing Barbell row.
2 set x 10 - 14 reps ( you are at your strongest in your first exercise so absolutely make sure to reach failure in each set ) + 2 to 5 shrugs at the end of each set.

Increase the weight once more and do 3 more sets at the new weight for a total of 5 proper work sets.

Increase the weight once more and do 3 more sets at the new weight for a total of 5 proper work sets.

3 set x 8 - 14 reps to failure + 2 to 5 repetitions of shrugs at the end of each set.

Sitting cable row:
3-4 set x 8 - 14 reps per set.

Go to failure, but keep the form throughout the entire set and forget about forcing it, this bad boy is good enough as it is so no need to go over the board with this one, so use good form and challenging weights and hit that failure every set while keeping your back and spine strong and healthy.

If you have a workout partner you can do a handful of extra reps once you reach failure by allowing your partner to use one hand to gently raise the weight ever so slightly, allowing you to completely trash your muscles.

Another alternative if you feel like switching it up on occasion is to drop 5kg once you reach failure and do 2-4 more reps.

Pull-ups:
3 set x as many as you can do. Do it full motion, from stretched out arms all the way up to the bar with your chest. You do not have to worry too much about how much you move your body in this one, some like to keep it perfectly still, while some do the CrossFit version where your entire body swing like a pendulum.

Either way, this compound exercise will work your entire upper body including shoulders and arms. So be proud over whatever amount of reps you do and aim to slowly make a few more reps over time.

Shrugs

3set x as many reps as you can do.

Some believe that shrugs belong to shoulders, some like me feel that it is more of a back exercise. Neither are wrong, this exercise works Traps more than anything else and as such one can make the argument that you are training and benefiting both your back and shoulders.

If you need some context for some of the mentioned exercises, take a look at this bodybuilding.com article which covers some thoughts on developing a strong and healthy back ( and albeit other things spends some time talking about the standing barbell row we started our back workout with ).

Workout lab 101 is a short and focused series of articles that concentrates on nothing but one muscle group workout each. The first one is all about triceps, and as such, I am basing this article on my current triceps workout, in the future, there will be a second and third triceps version, and other workouts too.

Warmup:
2 set x 10 reps : close grip bench press. Start with a weight that gets you moving without killing you during those 10 reps. And the reason why you are warming up with close grip bench press is because it is a compound exercise, and as such, it takes care of warming up all involved joints and surrounding muscles.

And that is also why this is our nr.1 starter exercise for Triceps, it allows you to kill your entire triceps and it´s many helpers with challenging weights.

Close grip bench press
3 set x 8 - 14 reps ( failure in each set ) + 2 to 4 half reps at the end of each set.

Dips
3 set x as many as you can do, rep away with no limitations. If you can do 20 that will still promote growth and strength, size and durability, so rep away without worry. And if you can only do 4 or 8, no worries, it is not about the amount of reps you manage to do, but the victory and your long term results are instead about the challenge you are choosing to provide your body and mind with.

That and the fact that you are overcoming that challenge by reaching failure in every single set. That is what creates progress, fitness and health, and that is why you are kick ass, so kill it no matter how many reps you do, reaching that failure is what matters.

Skull crusher
3 set x 8 - 14 reps + 4 chest/throat crushers/half-rep ( just to punish and torture your triceps a little bit extra ).

If you need some context for the mentioned exercises, take a look at this http://bodybuilding.com article which covers every exercise I mentioned here.

Bonus star

Stretch your upper body and mainly triceps, chest, biceps and shoulder in between every set throughout your entire workout.

Another workout lab golden star is yours if you, at times, also varies the amount you rest between each set.

Why should you ever switch it up and change the amount of rest between your sets? I´ll talk about why that might be beneficial for you in a future post :).

4 times per day their armies marched like the well-oiled clockwork they were, through the gates they lay claim to the outside of their walled-in home and fortified trenches, they did so in what looked like endless and orderly dark lines stretching across the abandoned path that continued down the lake and the daisies meadow, 4 times per day they came for us with horns and drums playing out loud as they kept a beautiful but terrifying order, marching wordless to the beat of the drum.

And 4 times per day once the carnage had subdued, once the soundless dead had stopped moving, they would leave their own dead behind them as if they meant nothing to their former friends, now that the force of life had been snuffed out.

In their world of logical thinking and nature's relentless progress and never ending adapting evolution there was no point in spending time on mourning those who had died, you did so by continuing to live in the best way possible, that was how you best honored the dead.

And really, when you think about it, they were of course, absolutely right.

While they always left their own dead behind, they always took the utmost care to bring each and every one of their own wounded soldiers back home with them, abandoning no one, bringing them home together with the many dead and captured enemies that their supply lines managed to ferry back home to their city like capital.

Once back home they would nurse and rest up their wounded soldiers, providing them the very best healthcare and nutrition, rest and sleep that would allow them to recover and heal to the point where they would once again be able to march with their comrades against us. As for our own unfortunate dead and captured, they would feast upon them, of that, I had never had any grand illusions, and so, we tell our children of how they scavenge their flesh off of their tortured and twisted bodies, strengthening their own in the pain, and death of our losses. Transforming our lost and dead into nutritious biogenetic energy.

It was for all intent and purposes a campaign of relentless resolve. Efficient and endless in its sustainable and ingenious construction.

Kill, hunt and recover, this was the rhythm that was stuck on endless repeat and it would never, ever cease to be, in some ways that certainty and the absolute way they went about executing it day in and day out was as beautiful as it was utmost terrifying. An entire society, advanced and ever evolving, primed with a focus that made each individual as strong as their collected entity, all for one, and one for all in a way that a tiny few advanced species and societies had ever come close to mastering to the same kind of level.

This cycle was the daily life and struggle in the year 4.5 billion, and this was just the way life was for us termites on planet Earth, the planet of the ants.

Endless warfare caught inside a hailstorm of nature's beauty and every day it started brand new.

A recently published study in Science Advances 12 Apr 2017 gives us a fact based glimpse into the daily cycle of warfare and healthcare as the Ant species Megaponera analis carries it out, in what might be a first in the kingdom of ants.

At least this is the first time homo sapiens have managed to see this nursing behavior amongst ants were they intentionally set out to rescue and bring home every injured ant soldier with the intent of safely bringing injured ants back home in order to get them healed up and back out on the theater of war as soon as possible.

The reason why I call it a theater of war is because Termites and Ants truly are engaged in a campaign of war made up of equal measures of attrition and adaptation. Providing the human race with a pretty fascinating window into the evolutionary arms race of two species.

Both of these species provide the other with a cunning predatory foe that is quick to adapt and evolve on their cross-species battlefield and equally capable at dishing out violence and building defenses. And as such, it is perhaps not a surprise at all to see that M. Analis have decided that dividing attention and troops that make sure that the raiding party bring home every single one of their injured soldiers so society can heal them up is a pretty cost
and time efficient way for the entire ant society to sustaining your army instead of having to endure unnecessarily heavy losses that would otherwise need to be sustained by starting over from scratch with the resource intensive task of first giving birth to a new soldier every time an ant get wounded and crippled and eventually die, not to mention divide precarious resources from society to feed and "train" him into a proper and experienced soldier.

In studies, it has been shown that when M. Analis is allowed to carry through their task of helping to carry back home their injured friends they managed to bring down the mortality rate for injured soldiers down from 30+ percent to zero.

Which in turn also seem to translate into what comes out as a roughly 30% bigger ant colony compared to nests that did not make use of this search and rescue operation in their own army.

And so, in my own peculiar way, I think that this is a pretty fascinating piece of the pie that is life that showcases us why science matters and why knowledge and ever-evolving fact-based education matters.

All aspects of a healthy life on planet Earth matters to us all, even the small stuff such as the life and war of ants and termites, and education and science are the tools that provide us all with the proper building blocks to understand and protect, enjoy and preserve that beautiful and ever changing treasure that is life on planet Earth.

And that is why Earth Day and Science, and sustainability matters, now more than ever before.

And perhaps, this time, ants and termites can even teach us the lesson of how proper care for every person matters.

You can find the complete study behind my fictional day in the life of ants and termites here.

To the tigers, the countless city dwellers, the stubborn meat eaters, the oppressive god believers and pagan science sapiens.

We are all the caretakers of this world, and truth be told, homo sapiens have not done nearly as good as we can, and need to do.

Case in point the tiny but highly cute and essential bumblebee. They are only returning back from the brink of global extinction thanks to people changing our own way of life into a kinder and more sustainable and healthy life, creating the sustainable and thriving habitat that the bumblebee needs to survive.

But we are not only saving the bumblebee we are also the only reason it was put there in that end of life, extinction zone to begin with due to the damaging and unsustainable life we forced upon this entire planet for far too long.

Harming each other, this planet, it´s plants and wildlife.

Life is beautiful all by itself, from the core of the black hole to the spiraling unknown, sometimes that endless beauty will undoubtedly be clouded by others doing, but life itself is beautiful. Immensely so even, so walk forward and leave the clouds of yesteryears in the past where they belong.

And when we make the conscious choice of making it so, this planet will provide a healthy, sustainable and beautiful room for us all to walk and do our own fulfilling life path that we enjoy and thrive, live and love in by our own choice without needing to destroy life and this planet for everybody else.

Spring is here!. Hurrah.
Have a great one everybody, and make the short journey that is life the very best it could ever be for you and everybody else.

As for the photo, most of the time in life every passing moment is a brand new, and utterly unique once in a lifetime moment, no matter how big or small it might be. But at rare times, we intentionally find our way back through the maze of history to revisit something especially rare and beautiful, and this is one such moment, seen here in the brand new way I experienced this old moment.

Body fat burn, the simple truth
Picking solid exercises in the gym and doing your cardio helps you by activating and toning up the lean muscle mass ( and performance ) in the targeted muscle(s) and surrounding helpers and antagonists.

And that is great for health and fitness and body fat burn alike.

But there will never ever be a single exercise or workout routine out there, that will ever manage to burn fat from a singular muscle or group.

What happens when we are speaking about people burning body fat is the simple fact that when you eat & train good enough to burn fat, you do so from top to toe.

Just felt like mentioning that since I stumbled into a discussion earlier today about this very fact, and no one should ever be told that they can do crunches or some other exercise and only lose fat in the targeted muscle.... more »

and a call to arms for all the healthy and tasty food junkies, give me your best healthy & tasty recipes

But let us start with todays yoga combo, it´s Friday after all and for me that includes a day ( gym diaries 8 828 ) of shoulder and abs workout, but first of all, a gorgeous 20 minutes long HIIT based MMA workout out on the porch out in the sun :), and man, what a wonderful way that is to start the day :).

Todays Yoga Combo

For me, yoga is a low-impact martial arts style thing I do pretty much every day of the week, as much for the low impact health and body benefit, as I do it as a short in time way to stretch and keep my body healthy agile.

After all, when you hit the gym 5 days per week with no pause and breaks to lift heavy'ish weights, it will quickly become crucial for your overall well-being to maintain a healthy amount of stretching and agility.

So you won't ever find me at a yoga class, instead, I pepper short sessions of low-impact yoga poses and martial arts stuff, throughout my day whenever I feel like activating my body. Truthfully, I kind of think of yoga and martial art as one and the same, it really is a slim difference and they simply work hand in hand with each other and weight lifting and a good and proper sprint interval run.

So one of my fav combo´s for getting a good stretch is this simple combo that starts with the Bridge/Hip thrust and flows over into the "stretch the needle".

Allowing your entire lower body and back/abs to both engage and tone up/maintain, as well as properly stretch, and while I know perfectly well that we young ones rarely see the big need for a properly maintained flexibility, trust me when I say that over time, keeping legs and hip flexors and your spine agile and healthy will allow you to maintain a much bigger quality of life feeling.

Your daily life quality will simply quickly deteriorate once your hamstrings, hip flexors and quadriceps, other joints and lower back start complaining loudly, and worse, over the years the negative impact will get even more noticeable.

This combo will activate, tone and stretch everything from hip flexors to quadriceps, hamstrings, and ass, all while it is doing the same health improving maintenance for your lower back and abs, which also makes it interesting for those of you that might suffer from sedentary induced lower back pain ( or if you are not too sedentary, perhaps you are just working out the wrong way, either way, this combo will help you with that lower back pain ).

Start in the bridge/hip thrust position, feet planted firmly on the ground, bent knees, arms and back to the ground.

Push up and hold, and rep away.

Once done, adjust and transform directly to the "thread the needle" pose.

Keep one leg planted on the ground, exactly the same position as before, just place one foot horizontally over the thigh of your other leg ( this is now the leg that is closer to your upper body ).

Wrap both hands around your other leg, and slowly pull both legs closer towards your face and chest. And yeah, your spine might start to play funny sounds right about now :).. And that is great.

So just hold and stretch your spine and hips and legs.

Once done, switch legs and repeat, and once done, transform over to the bridge/Hip thrust and keep going, do a few rep and back to the "thread the needle" and keep it up for a total of 5 - 10 minutes.

And this is something you can do several times throughout the day, no need to do it just once, but once per day is good enough.

Now, the foodie call to arms

What I would like is for all the amazing and health interested foodies out there to come up with their fav health recipes, send the recipe to me, as a comment to this post or as a private message here on g+.

Include a photo of your finished dish and I will publish it here with your full contact information for my followers to learn from you and get in touch with you. Chances are you´ll find a new audience not following your work and food magic right now. And of course, you will help me make the world a lil bit healthier too.

Food is after all as important as lifting weights, running, doing yoga and mma and stretching. It´s the other half of keeping healthy.

Here are my simple but firm demands for your healthy dish.

- No red meat, and no endangered/unsustainable animal meat.
- Quality carbs and Healthy amounts of quality protein.
- No added sugar and no added salt beyond what naturally exist in whatever ingredients you use.
- No lactose.
- Max 350 kcal in one serving.

Your healthy fav dish can be in the shape of whatever.

A proper dinner, or pre or post workout. It can look and taste like cookies and cakes, or a smoothie or be an amazing veggie like burger or whatever.

It can be based on fresh berries or something you cook and stir for hours in the kitchen. It can be frozen, or fresh, it can be cold or warm, solid stuff or smoothie cream like pudding stuff :).

Enjoy your day people and keep it healthy and fit.

Seriously people, shut the fuck up and quit smoking.
Done, thank you, life & health is now both instantly and vastly improved, not just for you but for every other person that has to endure life around you :).

some bad health numbers

51.4% of the world's male smokers in 2015 lived in China, India, and Indonesia.

All while the USA, China, and India, make up 27.3% of the world's female smokers. Outside of the almost 7 million dead people in 2015, which made smoking rank as the second leading risk factor for mortality among both sexes in 2015.

Smoking also causes many more health issues than just premature death, smoking-attributable health issues, increased in total from third to second between 2005 and 2015.

And somehow, in one single year in 2015, there were 148.6 million health issues worldwide that can all be attributed to smoking.

So yeah, one super easy and super beneficial way to improve health around this entire world in a pretty massive way is to quit smoking and to influence the smokers in your life to do the same.

At daybreak, yesterday bids us
Once more goodbye, never to be ever again.

Unless for when, we find ourselves

At that far away place where

Wisdoms of a healthier life
The single most important thing when it comes down to living a healthier life is finding the needed joy and freedom to explore it for all of life instead of just six months :).

So give yourself that freedom and joy, and set sail to explore the entirety of that life long sea of health and fitness.

Try something small and new today.

No matter how small that change might be, finding that joy is a golden aspect of living a healthier life. It could be ditching your peanut butter with banana on top your sandwich for something new and adventurous that is filled with the adventures of strange findings, smell and taste :), or it could be adding squats to your chest workout like I have been doing for a few weeks.

salt in daily food

One L ( 1000g ) of sugar-free yoghurt comes with roughly 1gram of salt.
100g of the store-bought bread you eat usually contains anything between 0.5 and 1 gram of salt.

100g of raw fiber enriched oat grain, less than 0.01g of salt. ( and very rich in protein and sugar-free quality carbs )
100g of Casein protein powder ( lactose-free ) 0,9g salt
350g of Store/restaurant purchased pizza can contain as much as 5g of salt.

Salt, the Athlete & fitness perspective

5 grams per day, that is your upper limit as a healthy adult, all while the lower limit depends on who you are.

Healthy adults that keep fit and active actually need more minimum salt per day than a sedentary adult to remain healthy.

So my general advice for healthy adults is to simply make sure you do not consume more than 5g per day, and if you level out at 3 or 4, that does not matter, just do not cut out all salt in your food, you need some to remain healthy. And the more serious you are about keeping fit and active the more that lower, essential amount actually go up.

So as a healthy adult that hopefully enjoy being fit and active, stick to anything between 2.5 and 5gram of salt per day and worry no more about it.

Nightly bathroom visits

And if you are looking for a less serious, but still real reason to cut down on your own daily salt intake, do you ever wake up in the middle of the night and absolutely have to hit the bathroom to pee?.

Reality is that the more salt you consume, the bigger the need and risk for those nightly bathroom visits. The science behind it is dead simple, the more salt we consume, the more our body gets triggered to get rid of fluids. Cut down on the salt and witness how the frequency of your nightly bathroom visits will go down in equal measures.

This is a story of salt. The outcome.
Let us start from the tail of the end. Because we all know that every good tale comes equipped with an end that makes the rest of the story worth reading.

And as such, the changing story of salt is a story of the roughly 2.5 million deaths around the world which could be prevented each year if global salt
consumption was to be reduced below the recommended levels.

And soon the story of salt will return to develop some more, and once it does, it will also start from something a little bit closer to the beginning :).

But today is a Thursday, and like every other day, it starts anew with a blank canvas.

And perhaps instead of the day before the weekend, we could simply choose to say and think that today a brand new week started it´s very own blank sheet.

Like all other weeks that is born at the end of Sunday, during the black skies of shining stars and that all encompassing black velvet blanket that envelops us all.

It is true that the moon that traverse the Sunday evening might shine it´s light too during the night, at times, if you have a big enough window that faces the right direction, the moon will light the night bright enough to touch your face and color your every dreams as if it were the sun itself and not the howling moon that simply soak up the rays of sun as it traverse our nighttime view inside our dreams, and outside our windows.

But perhaps there is some sort of true to life poetry in that, the moon is after all, as much an alien thing as it is a child of Earth, sucking at our oxygen and life matter like a tiny cow still breastfeeding.

So perhaps the fact that it radiates the light of the sun during the night is perfectly poetic, the moon is as much a still growing and changing prodigy of the Earth as it is a wayward child of the vast milky way galaxy.

Well, come Monday morning, when we do open our eyes, the moon is usually gone with the night and the stars, and we are left with the rays of the sun, and the organic ever changing life of planet Earth.

And so a brand new week begins anew, every Monday.

It carries with it traces of the past, of the night, the stars and the moon, it breathes the light and air of aeons past.

But it is also a blank sheet, unwrapping and eager every Monday morning lay in wait, a week to write and sketch our own peculiar way.

And today, I kiss you good morning, as I handcuff your gorgeous wrist as you lay naked in bed, and in truth, be it Monday or Thursday, that is a perfect good morning :).

A life of health and fitness is in truth exactly like a game of chess.
There are no unearthly and illogical surprises waiting in the dark of night that will upend and change the actual fabric of the landscape. Your opponent can not cast fiery magic and summon demons from the netherworld to do their bidding

Instead what we have is a beautifully defined field of known and still developing, yet for now, unknown for you and me facts and variables, and the vast amount of personal choices those known, but evolving facts allows us to make.

And at every step of that personal journey, chess and fitness will leave you standing as the sole commander, at a vast field made up of pure facts and deductive knowledge and the cause and consequences that every single choice will give birth to.

And at every step of that personal journey, chess and fitness will leave you standing as the sole commander, at a vast field made up of pure facts and deductive knowledge and the cause and consequences that every single choice will give birth to.

That is what you are, a proud commander and general, standing at the precipice of a domain that answers to nothing but pure logic and science, equipped with the free will to make your own decision making at every step of the way.
No strings attached.

You are left in absolute and complete control.

Free to go in any direction.

But like any good chess player will tell you, nothing you ever do will alter reality and the consequences of ignoring facts and logical thinking. You are free to lead any which way you wish, but the landscape of your journey ahead is defined at every turn by absolute reality and purely determined logic.

And so, at the end of the day, you make your own individual choices that will lead you step by step across that vast adventure through a domain of scientific facts and known variables, steps that will by their own design take you towards your own goals, or away from them.

But no matter where you go, that journey and direction, and its outcome is all according to your own choosing and you always know which way every choice will take you.

If you are in need of a fitness challenge or looking for a pick me up suggestion this Tuesday, I am going to boss you around and tell you to spend your next 20 minutes of yoga on the previously mentioned hip thrust.

Forget about the barbell and reps, and do it bodyweight and simply hold each "rep" for as long as you can and shoot those hips as high as you can, and keep in mind, every second you can hold it like that count.

Rest for 30 seconds once done, and repeat until you either reach complete failure for the day or max 20 minutes, whatever comes first ( and if you somehow manage to keep it going for 20 minutes, well I heard that X-men is in need of a new wolverine ( male or female ) just so you know it :P )

And if you have absolutely nothing to conquer, or perhaps feel in dire need of a kick in the butt towards a healthier life, how about taking the first few steps towards mastering a low impact yoga pose by making Monday a day dedicated to one or several of the following yoga poses, Plank, Triangle or Camel.

If you are already firmly set in the world of yoga, branch out and pick a completely new and more challenging pose and make the next 20 minutes all about that pose and nothing else.

Divide those 20 minutes in proper sets the same way we lift weights in the gym. And give yourself a minute or two of rest in between each set.

Round it off with 20 minutes of shadow boxing, move, strike, dance, punch like a mutant bumblebee, and while you do that, why not throw in a few set of body weight squats while boxing.

Have fun and kick ass.

Milk is, obviously loaded with all the same super high-quality nutrition as yoghurt is, so why is it bad for you if yoghurt is beneficial for health and fitness?.
Most of you already know that quite a lot of people are sensitive to lactose.
Tolerating lactose is not even our normal state, but a mutation that happened to primarily develop amongst pagan Europeans in Northern Europe. Due in part because cattle was a popular way to survive and farm in the cold kingdoms of northern Vikings. Providing both nutritionally rich milk and cheese, and meat when needed. But also because of the long and utterly dark winters, northern Europeans ( read, Scandinavians mainly ) needed to get way more efficient at sucking up the little Vitamin D that life in the cold north provided.

So Vikings did what nature do best, evolved through mutation. This, however, was not a bulletproof thing.
And so, what science has started to uncover in the last few years is just how bad the long-term health impact of the milk based lactose is for most of us, and yes, it actually applies no matter if you are lactose intolerant or not.

And so the only real question that remains is what exactly the inflammation that drinking milk causes will do to our health and longevity, with and without the many protective health benefits of fruit and veggies.

The answer:

If you are a girl drinking milk on a daily basis will end up being one big reason contributing to your statistically higher chance of suffering from brittle bones later in life.

And that is because the toxic build up of drinking milk will hurt you more than it seems to hurt men.
But on the other hand, girls reap even more health and fitness benefits from eating high amounts of fruit and greens than we guys do.

But, the verdict is that both men and females suffer from drinking milk.
That includes actually aging biologically speaking quicker, more brittle bones and even premature death.

So the answer is, get your dairy fix from organic and sugar-free yoghurt and forget about milk until the industry has decided to produce milk that is both sustainably produced and healthy to drink.

You could, of course, skip dairy completely, but it really is choke full of amazing carbs and high-quality protein, vitamins, calcium and all sorts of good things that are highly beneficial for your health and fitness, except for the fact that drinking milk will harm you courtesy of those pesky d-galactose thingies that milk comes with that apparently fucks us all up.

So skip the milk, and make sure to get your dairy fix from yoghurt and eat buckets of fruit and greens every day and reap the benefits of a healthier and longer and much more fit life across your entire lifespan.

And so, as I survey not just WHO´s very latest study, published march 2017, but other studies as well, like the one referred in my article about air pollution leading to dementia and other health related issues, my conclusion is that a healthier life is about us all being able to eat healthy food grown from healthy farming and to walk in green and clean cities and countrysides that are free of the toxic fog and water that is already killing millions of people around the world every single year.

A good and clear example of that is the US which has been leading the unsustainable way of life in the last few decades in the western world, and as a result of that, it has had the worst increase in all neurological deaths – men increased that sad metric with 66 percent and women 92 % between the years 1979 and 2010.

Other issues that can be added to the pile of pollution was revealed in a very comprehensive study early march, 2017 by WHO, showing the world how man-made pollution ( in air, soil, and water ) was the sole reason behind more than 1.7 million kids around the globe, under the age of 5 ending up dead, every single year.

So as we reach the end, the conclusion is that littering, pollution, fossil fuel, sanitary issues and unsustainable business practices and life choices by politicians and individual people like you and me is a selfish killer.

Not just in regards to your own health, but choosing to continually make those selfish choices is directly, and indirectly killing other people, and damaging everybody else's health as well. And as such, that old unsustainable and unhealthy way of life have reached its end and we now owe it to ourselves and every other living human being to change course today.

This was, of course, just a short excerpt, read the entire article over at a Norse view.

When protein face off with protein, what comes out on top? Red meat, plants, nuts, dairy?. And how will it impact health, strength and even the effects of old age.

The takeaway?.

When looking at the complete study, it was evident ( and to no surprise ) that the less protein you consumed the lower amount of muscle mass and strength. But to the surprise of some, the type of protein each person favored did not have any impact on their strength and musculoskeletal health, and there were no differences based on gender or age group.

So keep active, eat healthy and make sure to include enough protein, and yeah, skip that red meat based protein right away because it provides zero health and fitness benefit for anyone.

The older you get, the more important protein becomes.

In other words, this study further reinforces what we already knew.
The older you get, the more important it becomes for you to keep active on a daily basis and to make sure that you get enough protein in your daily food to maintain your health and lean muscle mass.

Naturally sedentary people will lose lean muscle mass not just from the natural aging process but also because of the accumulation of sitting still, and that continuous buildup will never pause, and instead it will ramp up, continuing to take it´s toll the longer you keep up that sedentary daily life.

Two very bad things when put together, and as we age the bad effects of sitting still and eating to little protein get exponentially worse, but by adding protein to your daily food intake beyond the recommended daily levels you actually improve your chances of maintaining a healthy body and strength all through life.

And now we know that the source of the protein seems to matter very little, the amount of it has much more weight when it comes to your own health and fitness.

Something to take note of, both for the healthy and fit individual planning for a fit and fun and long life of health and quality living all until the very end and, of course, the entire health and elderly care field should pay attention to.

Kelsey Mangano, PhD, assistant professor of nutritional sciences at the University of Massachusetts Lowell, had this to say about the study.

“As long as a person is exceeding the recommended daily allowance for protein, no matter the ( protein ) source in their diet, they can improve their muscle health,”

Considering the negative health and environmental impact of red meat, this also becomes another good study and reason as for why people should make sure to get much more of their protein intake from plants, fruit, nuts, chicken and ecological sugar-free dairy products. And as always, you can find a link to the study in The American Journal of Clinical Nutrition in my website article.

Enjoy the rest of your healthy and fit day :).

Summary

Eat plant and sugar-free, organic dairy products, nuts and fruit, chicken ( and non-polluted fish that isnt overfished.. good luck with that btw :P ) but avoid red meat.

The only reason I do it in front of my head, instead of behind is discomfort, I simply do not like this exercise half as much when I do it behind my neck, but beyond that personal aspect, it is totally the same exercise, well the minuscule and almost non-existent differences are to small to create any real health and strength difference.

So pick what feels more natural for you, but perhaps consider that those super tiny differences do create issues for way more people when doing this barbell exercise behind their head and with zero added benefit.

So generally speaking my vote is, do barbell shoulder press worry free in front of your head.

Page 10 and the silent slumber.
The meaning of life & a photograph.

If a photo is a thousand words or more, then there could in truth be an endless stream of emotional responses to every photo ever taken.
Doors opening, worlds colliding, emotional responses, memories triggered, feelings left forgotten resurfacing, or new impressions formed.

Perhaps as such, a photograph is not just a frozen moment captured in time.
Perhaps it also carries that moment in time within itself, the sensory balance of what we felt, what we feel and see, the memories we create and associate to every little day and moment in the flesh.

When the silence speaks through the void, In the heart of the forest.

While for your neighbor those blinking stars are just a grain of sand from a distant beach of billions upon billions of possibilities, worlds, and emotional responses and visual triggers, experiences waiting to traverse the unknown to us.
Or from us to them.

One man´s tomorrow could for you, be just another day that abruptly starts with the alarm buzzing loudly in the morning only to end hours later with your exhausted head hitting the pillow.
But for someone else, that today which for you was so meh, might be when life becomes truly fulfilled, like if a door had opened to a land of vivid imagination and fairy tale like moments waiting to unfold.

A silly poem

[ When

the silence speaks ]

When the silence speaks through the void, In the heart of the forest
Where we once met

A creek still lingers, the firm entrenches of winter it fights.
As the freezing cold, claws it´s way towards its core

Soon
A silent slumber, it once again, dreams, in the still depths,
life inside waits to be warmed again, nursed and re
birthed in the creaking
of ice that breaks

And amongst it all, somehow, each month, Earth fires up its magnetic shields as we position ourselves between the sun and the moon, and for five whole day´s we Earthlings shower our cute little friend with Earthbound oxygen and organic matter.

In other words, we colonize and shape the very fabric of the alien entity we call the moon with Earthborn biological life and air, organic matter traveling from our blue marble all the way to the moon through the dark void on the winds of the sun.

The flight across the black void and Kaguya's observations.

Kaguya, a Japanese lunar orbiter observed a few years ago, countless of ions whenever the Moon was shielded over the course of five days per month in planet Earth’s protective plasma sheet.

Considering the penetration depth of those ions, and the nature of Earth’s upper atmosphere, the conclusion is that terrestrial oxygen has continuously been transported to the Moon all the way from planet Earth on the powerful magnetic wind that is created when Earth shield the moon from the even more powerful and destructive solar wind.

I mean, how cool is not that?
Biological Earth matter, oxygen, and particles, life itself created by our own planet, has continued to be sprinkled for billions of years onto the surface of our moon, actually changing the very surface and evolution of our billion-year-old alien companion.

And as such, when we look up at the moon, we are not just seeing another celestial object hovering around us, but in reality that far away space rock was once created through one or several massive planetary collision(s) between Earth and one or several unknown space bodies.

But not only did Earth help create that cute little man in the moon thing through that galactic UFC fight, once upon a time, a vile bacteria horde created the oxygen we all breathe down here by first causing the very first mass extinction on planet Earth, and we have, ever since, kept showering our lunar companion for all this time with oxygen and biological matter all the way from Earth.

And is that not a little bit smile-inducing knowing that our ancient pal may still contain billions of year old air, bacteria, life, and stuff from Earth, buried on the present-day lunar surface.

Dig deep down and take a deep breath of pre-dino Earth air and all that entails.

Well, that thought makes me marvel at least :).

Two or more, planets came together billions of years ago, forming Earth and the moon and our mutual tug and pull bond as we know it today, with the flow of the changing sea down here, the way our planet tilt, and ever "mutating" lunar soil up there as the result.

Two space bodies floating through the milky way galaxy, separated but physically living together in every sense of the connected word, forever.

And something short about SMM J2135-0102

All while over in the recently discovered galaxy SMM J2135-0102 we have detected a cluster which creates new stars at a pace that would require the milky way galaxy to have an energy output equivalent to 250 suns, and it is keeping this star producing pace all year long.

Well, you have to factor in that what we are looking at right now, is how SMM J2135-0102 functioned 10 billion years ago!. Because that is how long its distant light has taken traveling to us. So as you close your eyes tonight, just imagine the wondrous way life in that incredible galaxy has evolved over 10 billion years.

Yeah, life is amazing. And we really need to develop better tools to look at and explore other galaxies than waiting for its light to reach us after 10 billion years because I am damn curious to know what is going on right at this very moment at SMM J2135-0102 :).

Book: '1984' by George Orwell, a timely sci-fi read in the reign of Donald Trumps alternative world. This is a several days long read.
The lie of the leaders became the truth of the people.

1984 is a pretty outlandish, yet perfectly plausible, and well written dystopian nightmare from the sci-fi world of totalitarian leaders with a sense for alternative facts.

Enjoy the read no matter if you read the digital streaming version at our 'a Norse View' library or buy the printed version from Penguin House.

So perhaps, we should remind our collective selves that real health and fitness is about balance in everyday life.
You achieve better health and fitness by enjoying life, keeping active on a daily and weekly basis, eating healthy food not once per week but most of the time in life.

Maintaining and improving your capacity and health by using your body and mind physically speaking.

World class, competitive athletes are rarely healthy so be inspired by them but do not aspire to reach the same levels.

All while normal people in the gym and at work, those that work out in the gym, and eat healthy food can and will achieve wonderful improvements in body, mind, and health.

Usain Bolt never trains sprints to achieve better life-long health, for instance, in fact, the way he trains in his quest to break world records is both unhealthy and impossible for the human body to cope with for more than a few years, and often leaving long lasting issues behind.

And worth noting with this article.
The "off season - all year round" health and fitness values are of course at a perfectly fit and athletic level and much healthier compared to the extreme "cut" version.

So if you take any inspiration with you from this article, be inspired by those perfectly fit and healthy offseason all year round levels. They represent health and fitness for the men out there to achieve as their own all year round fitness and health level.

The athlete´s health and fitness level start to suffer as he goes over the top with cutting down his body fat levels from a perfectly fit and toned, and healthy 15% to an unsustainable and unhealthy 4.5% over the course of 6 months.

Leading to lower amounts of strength, testosterone, insulin and higher levels of cortisol. Even tho the actual changes in his body are really small.

As expected he does not just lose body fat but also a few kg of lean body mass ( ie: not fat ). Something that happens to every man and women that try to do the same small but unhealthy change, caused by going from super fit and toned and healthy to extremely cut, but unhealthy and less fit.

Making it a pretty nice example of fit and healthy vs going stupid and unhealthy.

Balance is the key in achieving lifelong health & fitness.
And of course, this athlete only went this low and unhealthy with his food and body for a limited 6 month period.

So with that said, keep at it, every day, and every year and keep that healthy balance with food and fitness all life long. Do not jump up and down going from one extreme to the other, just keep at it at a steady and enjoyable, healthy pace and level which you enjoy doing. Thrive for your own lifelong health and fitness goals by accepting that health and fitness is nothing but facts and science walking hand in hand with enjoying life.

Bodyweight:
all year 100 kg ( 220lbs ),
6 month cut 90 kg ( 198 lbs ).

Bodyfat:
all year 15%
cut 4.5%

Lean body mass:
all year 88 kg ( 194 lbs )
cut 85 ( 187 lbs )

pulse:

The tick and tock of living

Some look up at the sky and wonder.
Some take care to write a string of words with meaning.
Some write music that tug at the string of hearts and black holes.

Some paint, some kiss, make love, climb mountains, dive and fall through clouds. Some run, lift weights, grow food and wonders.

Some listen, some talk, some wonder about you and why people seem to not read, or talk in a real way these days.

But

There is simply nothing you and I or google or anyone can do to make people read, and think, and properly see.

They do not have the time to actually pause in their life for long enough to truly take in another person´s thoughts and writing, in fact, no matter what you write, do, or produce, people just want to see shiny new things float by in their life. And by now, they will never pause to actually take in the essence of you.

No time given no real thought, it´s just how people live today.

And as such it is a little bit of a hilarious conundrum that people want other people of flesh and blood, content creators if you so may, to create endless hordes of life and content with real meaning each day.

Content from and about life that they will never ever actually look, read or listen too ( in a real way ), not to mention, feel and experience.

People today are sort of autonomous, and autonomous beings of blood and flesh, chisel, gold, and copper, just want 1 million identical posts to float by in life each day, all talking about the latest smartphone release, or showing the latest duck-faced selfie, and yet they will never actually consider, reflect and absorb a single thing out of the real stuff that makes up that content and life.

It is today, more as if people just want the tick in their life to go tock over seeing another post rack up the lifelong content clock those autonomous beings seemingly keep track on.

As if the actual number of content that float by in their life has a real meaning of itself.

So creating real content, and to pause in life, to take in and live fully alive and there, to see and listen, talk and converse, to think feel and create, whatever that might be, is really an act of defiance all by itself which every real artist simply do for our own sake.

Because no matter how you create or live, that world of people that actually pause and see the world, its wonders, color, the structure and texture and real content, that world and those people that live in that balanced way that we all create for, at large, it does not exist anymore.

People today do not see, hear, listen, feel or actually talk in a real way with all the other people on this planet.

They do not want that because they are to busy hitting up their addiction for endless amounts of more, whatever that more is :).

So once you have finished, talk to each other, pause to live, do, feel, engage and take in the real value of the moments that do pass you by.___

20 Jan 2017 got to be the historic day for when the raging Vikings of Sweden became a 10 million strong population.
a short historic population view

Sweden has exported large numbers of Vikings across the world and the European continent on numerous occasions, like when the Swedish Goths raged across most of Europe, walking up and down, left and right for numerous decades after having migrated out of their home in Sweden. A million people or so also left Scandinavia for the USA during the wild west years, and countless of long and strange war´s on the European continent for what amounts to hundreds of years thinned our Viking population on numerous occasions.

So it is more than likely that if we had exported fewer Vikings and embraced our current philosophy of peace earlier that we would have crossed the 10 million mark a long time ago.

But here it is.

population timeline

1749
Sweden reached 1 764 724 people in 1749.

1835
And we became 3 million strong in the year of 1835.

1897
Reaching 5 million in 1897 with rapid increases in birth rates and extended lifespan.

1923
WW1 did not hold back the population pace and we crossed six million in 1923.

1969
8 Million Vikings were reached in 1969.

2004
This was the year we crossed the 9 million barrier.

2017
And today, Jan 20, 2017 we sprinted across that 10 million line in a never before seen pace just 13 years after becoming nine million strong.

And the next step?

Well, Vikings obviously enjoy sinful pagan sex and healthy progress and quality living, so we are now looking forward to becoming 11 million as soon as 2024, just 7 years from now.

A host of studies has clearly shown us that no matter your current age if you over eat on food and live an unhealthy and sedentary life you are hurting the health of your brain as much as the rest of your body.

Point 1.

Sedentary and obese middle age people increase the biological age of their brain with 10+ years compared to what it should be. ( While healthy and active people lower their biological age in body and mind ).

Point 2.

No matter age, people are showing a clear correlation between a decrease in brain gray matter volume when living in an unhealthy and sedentary way.

Which is the direct opposite of what happened to 85-year-olds who lifted challenging weights, their brains became bigger and healthier and younger.

So treat the health and fitness capacity of body & mind equally well by making 2017 a healthier year in food choices and physical activity.
