André Appel6,448Received the G5 + several lenses for testing and reviewing by Panasonic Europe. In this hangout, I will show you the camera and give you a first hands on preview. I will compare it to the GX1 (same sensor and a lot of similarities) and tell you what I think about it so far. I will also take a look at the Leica 25mm and Leica 45mm lenses, that were kindly enough provided by Panasonic. Of course I will show you some stunning images from the studio I've taken with the G5 + Leica lenses so far in a first test shooting. I am looking forward to you!Hands on preview of the Panasonic G5 + 25mm & 45mm Leica lenses2012-12-03 19:00:006

Wild Monkey in Cambodia... I've got a bit of a fascination with primates as we don't have any native primates in Australia (other than humans of course). I was very happy to be able to get up close and photograph the wild monkeys in Cambodia.

Happy New Year to you all.. hope you all had a great one. Just wanted to put out an invite to anyone travelling to the South West in the next few weeks, drop me a line, I'd love to head out for a shoot or even just catch up for a coffee. I'm home for pretty much all of January and February at this stage, would love to meet some of you.

I love where I live, having this a short walk from my front door is just amazing.

The first of the rains has brought in the sea weed so the beach is looking a little messy at the moment, that usually clears by mid to late Spring. Most of the beaches are nothing but nice sand by the time you want to swim again in Summer :)

Do whatever it takes to find your passion

- It is by trying out new things that you will discover what yours is. Don't be afraid to undertake new chalenges that are given to you, this is how I have discovered mine.

- Ask yourself what makes you feel alive, this will be a great indication of where you should start.

- We are all drawn to it, it is up to us to listen when life is calling our name.

- Passion and love are the two most important things in life.

- Doing what excites you has great power both mentally and physically.

- No matter what you want to do with your life, be passionate.

My advice...Follow your passion, be prepared to work hard and sacrifice a lot of things but in the end I am here to tell you it is definitely worth it!. Stop Wishing you could do it and just do it. You never know when tomorrow might be too... more »
