Very smart marketing.

It seems odd to me that the IOC would come down on an individual fan, whether or not he runs an ad agency. My understanding was that a brand or organization itself would have to share the post for it to be a violation. So, are we viewers not supposed to talk about the Olympics now? Is that really what the IOC wants? I don;'t think so. They need to approach this issue of ambush marketing much more carefully, and choose their battles based on actual harm rather than valuable promotion for their event.

Many Rio Olympics Viewers in the USA are Dissatisfied with NBC's Coverage

From endless commercial breaks to time delays and fluff pieces, not everyone is enjoying the broadcast of Rio 2016.

My complaints aren't so much with broadcasting already completed major events (to US viewers) during primetime (not everyone can watch live - you know, jobs and whatnot), but with the streams (live and replay) continually screwing up on the +NBC Sports​ app and some not allowing me to cast to my TV at all.

In my opinion, +NBC​ needs to better prepare for viewing in line with the way people consume media these days and work with sponsors to deliver experiences and sponsored content to audiences rather than just 30 second ads that repeat infinitely. What have you thought of NBC's Olynpic coverage?
