Ole Olson57,732It has come to light that Google has started funding and supporting some of the most vile right wing extremist collectives and corporate front groups in America. Join us by changing your avatar and boycotting every single Google service for one day in protest.  *On Wednesday, December 11th make a serious attempt to not use anything Google.* No Google Searches. No Google+. No gmail. No Youtube. No Google Calendar. No Blogger. No Google Maps. No Google Photos. No Google translate. No Google reverse image search. No Google Play. No Google Drive. No Google Books. No Google Shopping. Nothing.  (Android is immune since it is Open Source).  If nothing else, just think of this as a challenge to see if you are able to spend a day on the internet without using a single Google product or service or just take the day off and enjoy the real world for a change.  _Google, many of us are your most loyal users, and we love the technical direction everything is heading by rolling all services into Google+_ but it must be understood in no uncertain terms that we vehemently disagree with your decision to start to fund proto-fascist, right wing extremist, anti-environmental, anti-worker, and anti-science shock fronts like: •ALEC (American Legislative Exchange Council) •American Conservative Union •Americans for Tax Reform •CATO Institute •Federalist Society •George Mason University Law School Law and Economics Center •Heritage Action •Mercatus Center •National Taxpayers Union •R Street Institute •Texas Public Policy Foundation ________________________________________________ *More information:* Don’t Be Evil? So today while I was out rockhounding on the Owyhee desert, I saw two antelope, a mule deer mother and calf, a jack rabbit, a long nosed leopard lizard, and a gopher snake. That along with seeing a number of different bird species, including a few raptors. Climbed to the top of a low butte I was rockhounding, and discovered an abandoned nest of some raptor bird...(at least I'm assuming it was a bird). Had been built of sticks; there were bone remains near at hand, too...

And I got some interesting pieces of agate, jasper and petrified wood and a small bit of common opal.

Ran across an outcrop that was chalk...maybe one section that was six feet tall...hard to believe that this area, so dry and deserty was once under a lot of water, but it was...

To use 2018 as an example, some ~$275 million would be paid out to the states in question that year — unless Trump’s budget proposal goes through.

Louisiana Governor John Bel Edwards stated: “This budget robs Louisiana of financial resources promised to us for coastal restoration.”

He reportedly asked Comey to pledge loyalty to him and to drop the Flynn investigation, and then he fired him and publicly admitted it was over Comey’s handling of the Russia probe.

What was Kushner’s role in these decisions? The Times reported that Kushner, along with Vice-President Mike Pence and the White House counsel, Don McGahn, “generally backed dismissing Mr. Comey.” In another report, the paper noted that Kushner specifically “had urged Mr. Trump to fire Mr. Comey.” After Comey’s dismissal, when Rod Rosenstein, the Deputy Attorney General, appointed a special counsel to take over the case, the Times reported that Trump met with more than half a dozen senior aides to discuss how to respond.

“Most of those gathered recommended that the president adopt a conciliatory stance and release a statement accepting Mr. Rosenstein’s decision and embracing a swift investigation that would clear the cloud of suspicion hovering over the West Wing,” the paper said. But there was one dissenter: Kushner, who was “urging the president to counterattack.”___

Zbigniew Brzezinski passed away this day. Here is Mika Brzezinkski's posting about it (if you didn't know, she is his daughter). She posted the link less than 20 minutes ago on twitterr, and nobody even hit Wikipedia yet with the information. RIP.

If you don't remember or didn't know who he was, he was Carter's NSA
