Should Famous People Do Their Own Social Media?
Recently it was revealed that +George Takei does not do all his social media, but in fact has a team of people creating content and sharing things out for him.
I know many many many(most?) social media "big names" do the same thing. They hire an intern or an assistant that does all the posting for them... and except very rarely, they personally would hardly know they have an account on the platform.
I partly understand why. The backlash you get as a 'popular poster' can sometimes be as depressing as reading tabloids about yourself and often show the worst parts of humanity....
But I personally still read it all. All the comments, all the mentions, all @ replied on Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, Google+. I still find posts to create, add my own thoughts and share them on multiple pla... more »

This is absolutely shameful and I am completely embarrassed. Last night I watched several specials on Medgar Evers and went to sleep feeling confident that racism was on its last leg in this country and then I see these racist Tweets against a 10 year old boy. And they're not from old White men who are about to die, but young, ignorant A**HOLES from a mix of ethnicities.
First, how stupid are you that you think because someone wears a Mariachi outfit that automatically makes them "from" Mexico. I guess no one outside of Texas knows that Mariachi culture and San Antonio are intimately linked.
Second, how ignorant to assume because the kid is Hispanic, that he's foreign??? But really, this is very telling that there are a bunch of JACKA**ES out there that believe that this country is a WHITE-ONLY country and the rest of us are only visitors. It doesn't matt... more »
