I don't get it why Android users refuse to pay for apps. As long as they have that attitude, then we won't get any good professional apps because the developers wants to earn money, they want revenue for their apps. They will stick to develop these great professional apps for iOS instead.

I often recommend Android apps (and also iOS apps), but I almost always get some comments like: "Oh, it costs money, is there a free option too?" And I don't get it? Why?
I think great nice looking apps is worth paying for.

Android still doesn't have any good professional video editing apps for example, while iOS at least have 4 different. Android only has total junk, spam and total worthless video editing apps. I mean, we will never get any good apps for Android if the users refuse to pay for them.

The attitude of Android users need to change.

I wish this release was for my Galaxy S3 4G (GT-i9305) too... Sigh, I probably have to wait much longer. That's the punishment it get for having Quad-core processor, 2GB RAM and LTE ;)

Acer Iconia W3-810 Windows 8 Pro tablet is now official. I have earlier done a video about it when a leaked image was available. This 8.1-inch tablet has a Intel Clover Trail Atom Z2760 processor. The screen has a 1280X768 resolution. No mention of price or availability, but it will probably show up on Computex in June and it won't be cheap.

Now with the new Google+ design rolled out, I thought I should talk about how good Google+ really is. I have many times said that Google+ is the best place on the web when it comes to interaction. Nothing beats it. To me the most important thing on Google+ is the discussions.

And on Google+ we build up the posts together. Collaborate blogging. As you may know, Google+ is my main blog, and my posts often get better because of all the awesome comments, filled with facts and info. Comments are content. It's very often that Google+ posts gets better than the original shared link we discuss, and that is all thanks to comments.

I have even got three YouTube videos go viral this year thanks to Google+, through all the shares, reshares, +1's and comments.

Google+ is definitely not a ghost town...

Who are your 50 Most Relevant People in Google+?  // I've been meaning to write about +Circloscope and this is a great chance. Circloscope is a great Chrome extension for managing your circles. The most recent feature (gets updated almost daily) allows you to create an image of your most relevant people on G+ (as determined by Google's algorithms) In order to create such a photo, do this:

Step 1: Head over to www.circloscope.com and install the latest version of circloscope premium (v2013.5.18) on your chrome browser (costs 5$ - it's some of the best 5$ I have ever spent on software :))

Step 2: Open circloscope by clicking on the icon on your chrome toolbar. And go to "Action > Visualize > 50 Most Relevant".

Step 3: Take a screenshot of your 50 most relevant people and edit the photo as you like :-)

To me Twitter is dying. Even if they have a large user base, the service is not so active, and people is more using it as a news source. I have been a big Twitter user during the years, but lately I have stopped using it. Actually it was after Google killed Reader and I decided to use Google+ as a news source instead, then I felt there was no need for Twitter anymore.

I can understand the pain for some, but personally I have made my personal profile with my personal Gmail as my "Brand". SO I don't have the problem with using two or more Gmail accounts. I just use one for both business and personal. I even have a vanity URL connected to my personal Gmail Google+ account: google.com/+svartling

SO my recommendation for new users is to make your personal profile as your main profile/page, and use one place on Google+.

I think the reason why Google unveiled the Samsung Galaxy S4 Google Edition on Google I/O was that they felt the pressure to show us some hardware and not only cool software. That's because of all the rumors about new Nexus devices, X phone and Google Smartwatch.

But maybe this is how Google will do it from now on? Let manufacturers high end phones be sold in Google Play Store, running on Pure Android? Maybe that is the future for the Nexus devices? The Samsung Galaxy S4 Google Edition is really a super Nexus Phone with micro SD card slot and all.

Then Google can release their own phones called "X Phone" made by Motorola. Then their will not be any discussions about competition.

SO apparently I was right that Microsoft will release a small 7-8 inch Surface running on WIndows RT and be released this summer. I said that in this video: Microsoft Surface mini will have 7.5-inch display and cost $399

Cool! Live events is now activated on my YouTube channel :) So now I can schedule and stream videos live! It's much better than Hangouts on Air. One reason is that I can stream in full 1080p HD video. But there is a lot more reasons. I don't know yet what I should use it for though. Any ideas?

Google I/O 2013 keynote was yesterday, and here is my first thoughts about what we saw.

No Nexus phone, no New Nexus 7, no X Phone, no Google SmartWatch, just cool and exciting software!

The only hardware that was presented was a Samsung Galaxy S4 Google Edition that runs on pure Android and will be available in Google Play Store in June.

What I was most excited about was the New Google+ design, new Google Now, Voice search in Chrome, synchronized notifications and messages, the new Google Hangout and the new Google Maps.

What do you think of all the exciting news we got to see on Google I/O this year?
