Let's take a journey through 75 years of time, and watch some history making cars! Chapter 11 introduces the 8th generation Crown.  The chassis inherited the Crown's traditional perimeter full frame, a double wishbone front suspension, and an electronically controlled air suspension. 7th generation Crown (Model MS125) - the Royal TWIN-CAM
Let's take a journey through 75 years of time, and watch some history making cars! Chapter 10 introduces the 7th generation Crown. Designed to be "the most luxurious and prestigious saloon car in the world", one of the characteristic features of the new Crown was its resin-coated, glossy rear pillars dubbed the "crystal pillars." It has been an eventful race for TOYOTA Racing at the Six Hours of Spa-Francorchamps, where they played a central role in an exciting fight but narrowly missed out the podium in a dramatic second round of the FIA World Endurance Championship. 

TS030 HYBRID #7 (Alex Wurz, Nicolas Lapierre, Kazuki Nakajima)
Race: Leading the race but did not finish. Fastest lap: 2min 1.847secs

TS030 HYBRID #8 (Anthony Davidson, Stéphane Sarrazin, Sébastien Buemi)
Race: 4th, 167 laps (+1 lap), 7 pit stops. Fastest lap: 2min 2.052secs

The next round of the FIA World Endurance Championship is the Le Mans 24 Hours on 22-23 June. Stay tuned for the race of races yet to come!

Celebrating the 75th Anniversary of Toyota’s establishment, Toyota Automobile Museum exhibits a Scale Model Collection in the “Toyota 75” exhibition, which has been borrowed from Toyota Design Center. As these scale models are usually kept at a highly confidential area, chances to see them are very rare, even for Toyota’s employees. The in-house expert modelers have created the models in a 1:5 scale and from tomorrow we will introduce them to you.
