Lump o'sugar cookie dough, ready for the fridge, plus previously mentioned scones. And the giant gingerbread men scones...will be making small ones in a bit.

It's baking time.  :) Made a double batch of traditional scones.well, mostly traditional. Used a mix of dried blueberries, cherries and strawberries instead of currants.  Will make more of the gingerbread scones in a bit. The first round I used a large cutter, and I think they'll be better a bit smaller.  Once they're all done, into boxes they go, and off to family and friends!

Yay for being covered in flour.  It's a happy accessory.

I will donate $1 to the Red Cross Hurricane Sandy Relief Efforts...

1.  For every new person that circles me until Friday at 12PM EST  11/9

I just found out that my company is going to match dollar for dollar donations to the Red Cross in support of Hurricane Sandy relief.   I know there are plenty of people who would like to help without the monetary means to do so.  I have been fortunate in that I was not affected by Sandy and that during the recession both my wife and I remain gainfully employed.

So I am willing to put up my money (minimum of $100 max $500).  Assuming we hit the max that will be $1000 going to the Red Cross ($500 from me and $500 from the Red Cross)  Though I doubt we'll get there...but I have been surprisedbefore... more »

Ok, so it's not a sunrise. It was gorgeous, at about minute 5 of my commute, in the rearview mirror. But...that is still most definitely the sun rising, and blue skies peeking between the clouds. After 4 days of overcast grey, I'll take what I can get.
