Since I'm temporary living with two gorgeous cats, it's impossible to resist the temptation to post something for +CATURDAY! hosted by +Lee Daniels & +Christophe Friedli.
This is Bruja. She was living on the street and decided to adopt my mum one night,  she chased her like a psychotic cat until my mum gave in and allowed her at home. She is mostly kind, but she also have a strong character and she thinks that one of my dogs' muzzle is a good place to file her nails :-( poor boy.   #caturday

I haven't shared an image for centuries... for lots of reasons I haven't been in the mood to take photos and my old computer isn't in the mood to process photos, but yesterday I took my camera while walking my dogs and today I've been struggling with my computer to process at least some of them. The two pics I want to share today with #fidofriday  are from my malis.
In the first one they are posing for the photo, it's a nice scene, but I feel that it's a fake. Look at them, nice and calm... no, definitely that picture is not a true portrait of my dogs, so I decided to post the other one, out of focus and technically almost a disaster, but I like it, because in that one I do recognize my dogs: playful, nervous, almost crazy. Yes that's a true dogtrait of them.

Sorry, I have no time for new photos, but I don't want either to be "non active" so I'll post this video I made with a selection of the photos I took near my home in Albacete, now that we have moved and maybe we won't go back there, it is quite weird to see all those images. They bring me sweet memories, sweeter than I ever thought, considering those years have not been my best years at all.

I would love to explain my vast experience and overwhelming knowledge on photography to you, but due to the fact that I have no such qualities, I'll just share this photo. I've applied two textures to the original image because it was out of focus  and almost completely ruined. Mastering the light in photography is also a pending subject for me, as you can see... hope you'll enjoy the composition at least...

I usually share my photos for the "daily photography themes" here in G+, but  the most important photo that I have to share today is not mine, it's the photo of an angry People: the Spanish are fed up with so many government cuts that we don't understand. 
Cuts in public education, cuts in hospitals and primary attention, cuts for unemployed, cuts for dependent people, cuts for domestic violence. And, on the other hand, help for the banks, who don't want to be responsible for their toxic assets. We will all have to pay for their lack of responsibility, our children will have to pay for them. We are facing the bankrupt of a State because we are afraid of facing the bankrupt of several banks... I can't understand it.

If you follow my publications you know that for a long time I've been introducing you to my foster dogs in #fidofriday . This week we'll go back to six or seven  years ago. At those times I wasn't keen on photography and I was the proud owner of a 3mpx camera, so the pictures, except this first one are taken with my old camera, but this album is not for great pictures, it's for great dogs, so let's go with her:
At those time I was working at a dog boarding facilities where some shelters took their new dogs until they had a place in their kennels. A saw a beautiful German shepherd and I didn't pay much attention to her. I assumed she had a family and was there only during their holidays. But weeks passed and she was still there. I ask my boss and he told me that she was from a shelter, she had been abandoned because she was old and she couldn't breed... more »

Lately I cannot be here in G+ as much as usual, and right now it's been a while since I last spend some time surfing through my stream, watching all that great work. Today I wanted to have some rest from my courses and payed a short visit to it and again, as always, I'm amazed with all the talent out there. 
I might be a horrible photographer, but I'm for sure a great circler, because all the posts that appear on my stream are so inspirational that make me feel like going out to take more photos.
Sadly right now I must concentrate all my efforts in other things, and I can't go out to take photos or work in my never-ending post-processing queue.
I'll share this image with #widewednesdaypanorama just to say that I'm still here, enjoying your work and making my best to improve my own images, so that one day I might be honored to be called a photographer.

The will to live
Today I want to share with you this moving video from the association Great Dane Spain.
Mora is a pup who was born with a neuron disease. She couldn't stand up or walk. She was only able to lift her head. At first she was diagnosed with quadriplegia and her owners thought about euthanizing her, but before doing that, they wanted to try everything else. 

Thankfully 'Great Dane Spain' took care of her, and their vets told them that the problem was a disease, not an spinal injury, but they also said  the probabilities to walk were low...

A foster family wanted to give her a try, no matter how improbable it was to see her walking. They brought her to their home and now they're taking care of her. Last week my boyfriend told me he had to do an insect identification job, I like to take photos of bugs so I told him I could help him with the photos. We agreed to take the photos the next day. 
So next day he brought me a little jar with alcohol. I looked at the jar and looked back to him, waiting...
- and the bugs? 
- I've just given them to you...
- .... where?
- That jar!.
- I only see some spots... wait... yes, I can see a bug, but it's tiny!.
- eeehhrrr... there are 8 different bugs there. 
<sigh> Well, lets see what I can get.
I don't have a macro lens, I only have a common lens mounted on a reverse ring so in my desperation I mounted my birds lens in my camera (400mm) and at the front part of it, I mounted, on a reverse ring, my 28-90mm. I put then the camera in the tripod over a crystal tableand pu... more »

This is Kira, a Epagneul Breton who stayed a few days with us last year. My dogs played a lot with her and I enjoyed having a new dog-model, so it was perfect for all of us.

I think this is a joung Phylloscopus collybita, but I'm not sure at all, so if someone has a better id. it'll be welcome. (to help with the id: taken in Albacete, Spain, in late March).

Papaver somniferum

Today was the right day to get up early and go to take some photos of these beautiful flowers, not very different from their cousins: the common poppy. Papaver somniferum is now in bloom. In a few days it will be ready for it's valuable harvest and the police will be wandering around the fields to avoid pillage, so it will be a bit risky to be around, even with a camera.

I'll be away for a few days, climbing and visiting some friends and family so have a nice weekend and #thisismydesire : don't forget to look for something beautiful or remarkable near you (and since you are there, take a photo and share, please).

Today I woke up with bad news. The adoption family for this girl "Rusa" has changed its mind in the last moment. 
It is a difficult adoption and we have been working hard for the last weeks to close it. Everything seemed perfect. Until this morning. They just sent me an email saying that eventually they were not going to adopt her. 
Too bad!. This has got me down, we are not optimistic about finding her a new family in the short run. So much work and illusion to the bin.
