A strong sunset to end the day

I saw the clouds forming quite nicely a few hours before sunset. With just a hunch, I headed down here to capture this spectacular display which unfolded before me. No regrets!

My style of capturing sunsets would be taking 5 - 9 bracketed shots depending on the situation. Then on goes the ND filter for a long exposure. At that moment when I'm taking the shots, I'm not sure yet if it's going to be a HDR, LE or combination of both really. But I take all the sequences before I adjust my tripod anyway. So in the end, I chose the LE which is my favorite.

Sgwd Ddwli Isaf - I've no idea how you pronounce that, but that's the name of this waterfall in the Brecon Beacons, Wales. This was shot during a recent outing with +James Clegg and +Julian Provis. The falls must look particularly impressive today, judging by the amount of rain that's fallen recently.

I am so overcome and overwhelmed by the reports from Gaza, with the civil war in Syria, the atrocities done to the Rohingyas in Myanmar, the mess in Iraq-Afghanistan-Pakistan and not forgetting the sufferings of many all around the world from famine, drought and poverty-stricken areas, I am just lost for words.

It's all I can think of when I see these atrocities and feel my heart wrench with empathy for them and it's my request to all of you to sign a petition I'm sharing with you.
To the UN Security Council, the European Union, the Arab League and the USA:
We urge you to act immediately to ensure a comprehensive ceasefire in the Gaza Strip, to protect civilians on all sides, and to address the growing humanitarian crisis. One of the worst things in life is when the father buries their own child.

Oh God, help these souls. What are the world super powers and arab countries doing right now? The answer to that simple question, is absolutely nothing.
