In a few weeks I will be back in New Zealand. It's been 4 years since I was last there and I can't wait to get back to take more photos of this amazing country.

As a landscape photographer I greatly appreciate the work of those that work tirelessly and often in great danger to protect and to preserve the wonderful planet we live on. One of those organizations is Sea Shepard, please show your support by following them.

#mirrormonday My contribution for Mirror Monday. This is Glendhu Bay on New Zealand's South Island from a trip there in 2008. I'm delighted to say that I'm going to be back in New Zealand later this year and I can hardly wait!

The likes of Canon really need to pull their fingers out. 41MP from a phone camera!

If these specs are true then I see no point in upgrading from my 5D MKII.

Reflection
I wanted to create the impression that you could almost walk into this photograph so I set the camera up only a few inches off the floor. The most amazing sunset was going on behind me and the colours have been picked up beautifully in the water. I'm often asked what filter I used to get this colour but I don't use them, this is completely natural.
