Bombardier Flexity Classic in Stockholm.
Looks like it could be one of those leased from Norrköping, but this one is originally made for Stockholm.
The first years with this type in Stockholm three were leased from Frankfurt and three from Norrköping and until 2014 one was leased from Norrköping during summer months (summer in Stockholm = need more, summer in Norrköping = need fewer).

The Dying Earth, Jack Vance, 1950
Sometimes when you re-read something you used to like long ago you discover you don't any more and since it was almost 15 years since I last read this I wasn't sure how my plan to re-read all my books by Vance, which as it happens is very close to or actually 100% of the SF&F he wrote (after a long time I got hold of Green Magic and then the list of what more to get was empty) in more or less order as written.
But happily I still like it. It's not very complicated nor layered, just well written fantasy. Some interconnectedness to the short stories, but just enough to make the world building seem more complete. I might not recommend all his oldest novels, but if you're interested in Vance you may like this.

It's said there's about as many horses in Sweden today as about 110 years ago.
The reason is that until then oxen were what you most often used to pull loads, so I'm sure there're a lot fewer horses today than there were before tractors started to replace them.

Jarlabanke's bridge

A really old piece of Swedish infrastructure. This is what remains of a 150 m long causeway built around 1050 in Täby by the obviously rich and powerful Jarlabanke Ingefastsson.

The causeway was in use until about 50 years ago, but it had been improved upon, so this is a restoration of part of it -- but it's based partly on a 400 year old drawing and as the land is much higher today (currently it rebounds 4 mm/year in this area) you can't really see it's a causeway.
You can read about the rune stones here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jarlabanke_Runestones
