As seen through a shopwindow and some fun with #snapseed for #caturday :)
The story behind it, it was forbidden to take pictures or make movies in this store, everywhere in the store it was clearly indicated. Anyway, they sell all kinds of animals, it looked like the animals were been taken good care of. Still, with so many animals in shelters, I have mixed feelings about breeders and shops selling the breeds. Well not about that now. So I saw these two hairless kittens behind the glass and since the missus has a weak spot for those Gremlin like creatures, I broke the store rules and took a sneaky shot with the handy, while two people of the staff were standing behind me, they couldn't see what I was doing. My daughter was looking at some adorable little fur balls a bit further away, she turned around, looked at me and spoke out loud and clear to me, louder then normal it seemed to me, "well... more »

Seems the plugin in LR I use to upload to picassaweb needs to be registerd now with a donation. Don't feel like looking into that right now, so trying out the Picasa sharing option instead. If it works well, I probably keep on using it.

Don't have that much time and or opportunities to amuse myself with post-processing the last couple of weeks and as the weather is improving, doesn't look there's going to be any change in that. Almost #caturday and here one from one of my willing models, for this one I did things with the camera I usually never do, regarding settings that is (before someone razes the eyebrows). Highest ISO (lots of noise), external flash (really never use it, don't know how to do use properly anyway) and turn out the light after focussing and stuff (like all the lights out and having no light at all). Then a bit of play in LR and Nik's Silver Efex . Something different and again out of the comfort zone.

Little life, to show some life.

Lately I'm into moss, that has everything to do with my interest for Macrophotography. Such interesting structures and so many differences. This shot was on good luck, the moss was on the top of a concrete pole,, on a surface about 10 cm², it was to high to take a good look, so I used my extra eye and shot blind, standing on the top of my toes, camera held high up in the air. It didn't turn out that great, but I kinda like it.

Ok so this is only for the music lovers, with that I mean the real music lovers :p
So I preordered a package from the Foo Fighters store, no wait! it's not just another Foo Fighters ( did I just say that) but it's a piece of history, as it happens Mr Dave Grohl is the director, producer or whatever of this film, "Sound City", as a fan of the band and the man I didn't need much persuasion. So this week I received the package, well I needed to pay 15 € taxes and an extra 12 € expenses, the package only was 60 US dollars, so thank you for that Belgium! Anyway I have the Blu-ray, CD and T-shirt (and a little something extra, sshhh) so I had a few listen sessions this week, while preparing dinner or picking my nose and the album didn't sound bad. End of civilization or beginning?

Scary to see how little is left of what I remember. The world seemed so much bigger when I was still a kid. Sure I've grew, but still, there weren't that much buildings and not so high. More green and the houses where nice to look at, not just brick walls with glass in, but beautiful houses with lovely details, not build in a short time, but build brick by brick by craftsmen.
Places where I played in the grass, hide in the bushes, gone now, replaced by uninteresting buildings. Even the dunes, protected natural (I thought), aren't save anymore.
Life goes fast, sometimes it's good to stop and look and see what damage our lust for progress or comfort has done. What will our legacy be?

Just a thought.

Witch tower.
When I was a little kid, I made up this story of a sea witch been locked up in that tower, although I made the story up myself, I never went so close to it as I did now, many years later, to take that shot. My little girl was with me when I took this shot, we where doing a photo walk together (how awesome is that?) and I didn't mentioned my fantasy about that place, it wasn't necessary, she made her own story and I'm pretty sure that in the next few years to come, she will not be as near to it as we did the day we took pictures of her Tower of Darkness.

Natural monochrome.
That's what it is, not a great photo or image. I was on my way home from a little photo walk in the late afternoon yesterday, this was my last shot. After I imported all 240 images, this was the first I wanted to delete, but decided instead to play a bit with it, try out some stuff in LR and NIK Silver Efex  Pro and even NIK HDR Efex Pro, it all ended with a delete. This is almost SOC and looks to me a natural monochrome, maybe well fitted for   +Monochrome Monday with curators +Jerry Johnson +Nurcan Azaz ++Hans Berendsen  +Manuel Votta  and +Steve Barge and maybe for  +HQSP Monochrome by +Blake Harrold +Luis Vivanco and +John Minor
