Affordable programmable robots are on their way ... and in a near future, home robots are not just gonna be vacuum cleaners. The comparison with Apple is not far fetched either. The telepresence use case would actually be of use to many health care ventures allowing remote visit and dialog with a patient. One may debate whether this is a robot or not, but the idea of an affordable programmable device with features like face detection, movement detection, graphical programming, ... allows people with little to no technical background to extend the functionality of their personal robot.

One of the few services for which I actually don't mind subscribing to a monthly paid plan, given the huge benefits of this cloud based peer to peer file retrieval and distribution service, is put.io.

It's quite a reliable solution that allows painless retrieval of files available on peer to peer networks via BitTorrent or Magnet links: since the solution is cloud based there is actually no need to leave your personal computer running for hours just to retrieve a given file. Retrieved files can either be viewed using the web app interface or can be downloaded to the local machine.

Give it a try, but be warned ... you will probably get addicted.

Je ne connais pas le dossier dans son ensemble, mais ne peux qu'imaginer que Orange, au-delà de la simple opération de valorisation, aurait pu, par le biais de cette transaction, se rapprocher de Yahoo! et aurait pu ainsi mettre en place une stratégie de monétisation OTT afin de rentabiliser l'utilisation de ses réseaux par des acteurs tels que Yahoo! et Dailymotion.

Qui plus est il ne s'agit pas ici d'exportation d'un savoir-faire français mais d'une collaboration étroite avec un géant d'internet visant à favoriser le développement de Dailymotion à l'international et par ce biais à favoriser également le rayonnement à l'international d'un savoir et savoir-faire français dans le domaine des sciences (mathématiques, ...) et de la technologie (informatique, ...).

One of the most influential bands will be playing live at the Rockhal on October 30, 2013. Their musical style has been influential for the development of British music in the late 80s / early 90s and marked the rise of legendary dream pop and shoegazing bands like Ride, Swervedriver, Curve, Slowdive, Boo Radleys, Lush and Pale Saints. I did not have the opportunity to see them play live back then ... but it now seems like I will be able to catch up ... Soon.
