In 1631 the English gardner JOHN TRDESCANT, introduced them to UK

this is VERBENA flower
contains about 250 species, of annual and herbaceous, it is native to America and Europe, valued in butterfly gardens
Folk legend goes that these flowers were used to staunch the Jesus wounds after he was removed from cross so was called the holy herb
was sacred in ancient Romans
one of its other uses was supposed to be to protect humans against the vampires!

I shot this image at the Sunset, golden light was shining through the trees, this fellow was busy clearing the leaves of the branch in front of him, the golden light was shining on his lower jaw and he just looked so elegent

This is MAGNOLIA STELLATA, a small deciduous tree, native to Japan, eventual height is 3 meters, fully hardy, dislikes being disturbed once planted.
It was introduced in 1860s, introduced in UK in 1877 by Charles Maries

This is NERIUM OLEANDER, an ever green shrub, most poisonous of the commonly grown garden plants, it is toxic in all parts, no precise region of origin has been identified though south west Asia has been suggested, it has cardiac glycosides
the effects of poisoning are nausea vomiting excess salivation, abdominal pain, diarrhea, it can also produce palpitation and irregular heart beat

These are fresh young leaves of GUAVA (Psidium)
When I was shooting this, my heart was full of praise to the nature, early morning sunlight was falling on these leaves and showing the great architect of the veins of the leaves, I am just going to give few dietary facts of GUAVA
Guava are rich in vitamin C, Folic acid, dietary minerals like Potassium Copper, Manganese
It is claimed that a single common guava fruit contains about four times the amount of vitamin C as an orange, high in anti oxidants
