First thoughts on the G+ update.

Good:
Better use of space.
Stream doesn't fly away from you when it auto-updates. Update button is nice addition.
Easier to read for above reason.
Hangouts app.
Options for layout.
Navigation menu (the one on the left) goes away when I don't need it, as do the tops of communities and profiles. More content shows.
Scrolling in notifications is better. 

Could use improvement:
Borders on things. Everything seems to drift together.
Want to use Hangout app space for something else if I'm not signed in.
What's with the extra space around the notifications? That could be better utilized by being content.
Why is my profile pic still round?

Overall, I'm betting I'm going to like this a lot better than the old version. It looks and feels more like Google Now... more »

This is a pretty neat app for consumer choice. I love that it allows campaigns to be built, rather than just going by company. For example, you can look for items by companies that support LGBT rights, or those that contribute to keeping GMO labels off of foods.

I'll definitely be checking this one out.

PSA, inspired by the poor girl wearing a professional skirt this morning.

If you own a suit, skirt, or dress with this sewn into the vent, please remove it. This is only temporary stitching and it's used to keep everything flat during production, storage, and shipping. It's MEANT to be removed once you've purchased the item, as it will hinder the wear-ability. 

Pockets that are sewn shut are done for the same reason, but it's up to you whether you want to cut them or not. I sometimes opt not to, just to keep from putting items into them and messing up the fall of the suit.
