I took on one the the great assignments from +Jake Johnson this week and had a blast coming up with an idea and going out shooting.  My assignment was

"Show us one thing you would do to save the world..."

I've always had a great distain for bottled water and the huge amount of waste it generates....so the general theme came to me quickly.  I decided I needed a waterfall backdrop and so went hiking in the rain on Saturday to get the shot.  Got a bit wet but had a great time.

Met +Jake Johnson +Michael Riffle and [finally] +Jim Lundgren yesterday afternoon for sunset out at Picnic Point.  I had a great time and enjoyed getting to talk to everyone - despite the bitter cold!!  After almost 2 hours out in it I could barely untie my boots when I got back to the car my fingers were so numb.

Headed out to the ice caves at Big Four mountain this morning with +Jake Johnson hoping to see some snow.  We left Mill Creek about 5am and got out to the parking lot long before sunrise and hiked in complete dark most of the way - not far at all from the truck and still on the elevated walkways in the swampy area there we heard a huge splash - I think we each jumped a foot!  Never saw what it was but I kept looking behind me the rest of the way!

Here's Jake doing his thing - I was surprised when I heard a cordless drill going.....

Drove out to Picnic Point on Saturday afternoon as it was looking like there might be a nice sunset - great clouds and light leading up to it but over the last 15 minutes or so seattleskysoup engulfed it all and left no light or color.  I took this while waiting.
