This blog post made my day! I didn't know what a "supplier innovation program" was until I looked it up -- and now I understand a little bit more about how new products and services come to exist. But mostly, I love that this blogger found 5 talks that meant a lot to him and his job.

News habit survey:

- In a day, how much time do you spend keeping yourself in the know? What's your process?
I read the Philadelphia Inquirer on paper every morning while having coffee with Neil, starting with the comics and working forward to the front page. Don't judge. I don't depend on the Inquirer at all for news-news but for their in-depth reports, neighborhood coverage and local columnists. After coffee I check my Twitter feed for breaking news (I follow a lot of journalists), plus a quick scan of Reddit. I close Twitter when I start my working day, and take defined breaks to look at it, or I would go insane. But I definitely assume that if news is important, it will reach me. Probably via +Ben Lillie .

- Which major or local newspapers, if any, do you read on a daily basis?
Philadelphia Inquirer, NYTimes via links, Guardian UK via links -- feel like I am... more »

RIP the grandfather of the Rube Goldberg machine-as-art. I remember watching this video playing in a gallery window, while standing on a freezing Manhattan street, and wondering if it could get any more awesome. There's a short clip in the link below ...

What I did last week in Doha, Qatar: "taught" a writing workshop in which I learned a whole heck of a lot. Read my notes: http://emilymcmc.posterous.com/tedxsummit-how-to-write-about-your-speakers

Google+ needs TED (an official page please)

Firstly, for those who see this, the video below is a great talk by Chris Anderson Curator of TED.com about 'Crowd Accelerated Innovation', but I'm sharing it here because it fits perfectly with what I have to say, +Chris Anderson please here my request.

With this platform being, from what I can tell, one of the best sharing tools on the internet, why can't I find an official central TED page yet? I love TED talks and I know that when I share an inspiring, beautiful or jaw dropping talk with someone, especially someone who might not have normally come across it, its just amazing.

+Google+ is a network based around sharing, so TED on google+ seems like a great combination. This place is wide community the life blood of which is great content and I would hope and expect they would really embrace the mission of... more »
