Recently shot this at Oswald West State Park on the Oregon Coast. Because I got there during an out-going tide, I had to wait 30 minutes for a rogue wave to wash high enough onto the shore to cover the rock. Glad I waited it out!

This is the Oregon side of the Columbia River on a sub-freezing morning.

This is the base of Latourell Falls in the Columbia River Gorge. Probably the second most visited falls in the area; Multnomah Falls being insanely popular. I always take out of town visitors to both falls because it's an easy walk from the car. Because I've been there so often I find it hard to compose novel images that I haven't already taken. During my last visit to Latourell I decided to focus on the splash pool and ignore everything else.

Happy #WaterfallWednesday ! This is the falls on McCord Creek above Elowah Falls in the Columbia River Gorge. I had thought about bushwacking my way down to the base of the falls, however the thought of breaking my ankle during the somewhat treacherous descent made me think twice.
