We were lucky enough to get a day at Chester Zoo recently, a fantastic place to get very close to some of the plant's most wonderful and endangered creatures. Here is a photo we took of one of their black rhinos. Link to the zoo's rhino page below, where you can find out what they are doing to conserve them.

We took this HDR photo at the Museum of Linconshire life. It recreates the workshop of a wheelwright. We love how HDR photography brings out so much detail in a room like this, and all that vintage equipment just looks so full of character.

(Reposted because I messed up last time)
Little album of iPhone photos, edited with #Snapseed, all taken at #Whitby, #Yorkshire #England last week.
All feature the girl in the red coat (my daughter). I may be bias, but I find the figure in red is a valuable contrast to the greens and greys of most landscapes here.

A slight change of scene from Lincolnshire - Yorkshire. We've been to Whitby! Here's a HDR pic of the famous 199 "Church Steps" on the town's east cliff, overlooking the mouth of the River Esk, leading to the Church of St Mary and close the ruins of Whitby Abbey. The church graveyard is used as a setting in Bram Stoker's novel, Dracula.

After the success of the 'SnapSeed & Snow' blog, thought I'd create a little G+ album of some of those SnapSeed edits of some iPhone photos I took in the local park.
I deliberately used the app to make the images look vintage, like a postcard found in a junk shop.

Last week after a heavy snow fall, I went to my local Victorian city park and took heaps of photos. I then tried out several edits with #snapseed . This blog includes the original pics and the edits, so you can see what this app can do with snow photos, notoriously difficult to get right! http://angelarambleson.blogspot.co.uk/2013/01/snapseed-and-snow.html

Taken in the wet English hills using a iPhone 3GS, I used the Photo FX app too shazam the light. It's the most complex app on my phone, still feel I am just scratching the surface with it.

This is my daughter at a local woodlands. There was a rare moment of sidelight from the sun, and we were deciding which way to go.
This was taken on my iPhone 3GS. It was edited with the Noir app which I highly recommend for monochrome as you can set the shape of your vignette and do micro adjustments of contrast and brightness.

OK. Thought you #iphoneography and #mobileography types would like to see these three stages of iPhone editing. Original shot taken in my local graveyard on a frosty Sunday morning.
Google Plus is presenting them in the wrong order from finished to unedited... but I am sure you can work backwards..
1) Raw camera shot included as the starting point.
2) Then use of the Finger Focus app to create a depth of field effect, blurring the background and notably the cross. I highly recommend Finger Focus for creating the illusion that a much bigger lens has been involved.
3) SnapSeed app used to darken the final shot for that Twilight feel. I'm more of a Buffy fan, though. A little bit of the grunge filter here too.
How would you have edited it?

The inevitable reflection shot!
This was a nice suprise as we explored a new wood at the weekend. Had no idea the wood had such a big pond in it. There was also a fallen tree stretching right out over the water which just begged to be walked across. Please stand on your head and look again, the sky looks much more blue.

Mobilographers
This is my updated circle of #Mobilographers which began with a core of mobile artists known to me, followed by controlled crowd-sourcing to discover others. All profiles have been checked, so that everyone in this circle regularly posts, has a gallery or album of #MobileOnly images, or posts such regularly. The original post if here: https://plus.google.com/u/0/100152754393360938972/posts/A9gNfpZY8xz
I encourage all within this circle to share it. I recommend this circle to others for the beautiful, creative and artistic content its members produce and share.
I am going to crowd source one more time, because I know there are more #MobilePhotographers out there. If you would like to be included in this circle:

Dedicated to all my photography friends on G+ who have inspired motivated and helped me see the world with a new perspective through my mobile camera. This circle was created as a result of searching for fellow #mobilographers from the responses received to the post https://plus.google.com/u/0/108019662279165160680/posts/74MkCTSgUZA
Each person in this circle has been capturing ,editing and in some cases even posting all their images from the mobile phone itself. The thread also contains details of a few of the apps used to make the images come to life.
Cheers to all the awesomeness that this circle adds to my stream.
