This book is amazing, and even though it's my uncle who wrote it, so maybe I'm a little biased, it's an amazing, unusual, gut-wrenching and beautiful story about his life with my dad and their parents living as foreign Jews in Japan during World War II, and it will grab the attention of anyone with a heart and soul. #japan   #wwii   #worldwarii   #books   #bookreview

I don't often do this I have to here: Twice in the last 2 weeks, I've had the most therapeutic, effective, stress-reducing, relaxing, effective pressure-point massages ever, by this wonderful therapeutic massage therapist in Cherry Hill, NJ. Even if you're 2 hours from him, he is soooo worth going to! Not only is he highly skilled, but he's so easy & comfortable to be with, he puts everyone at ease, he's very knowledgeable about how our bodies work as a whole, and he's funny to boot! Do yourself a huge favor or even gift this experience to a loved one! I just can't rave about Kan Kong enough!

*PROUD MOM BRAG ALERT* My 17-yr-old son, Drew, who's starting at RIT this fall, is a GRAND PRIZE WINNER in an international GOOGLE coding competition! There were competitors from 36 countries. They're flying him to Google HQ in Mountain View in April to do some wicked cool things! So proud!!   #google

In observance of the 150th anniversary of the Battle of Gettysburg, these luminaries (3,500 of them, one for each Civil War soldier buried in the Soldiers' National Cemetery) were lit for the 10th Annual Luminary Commemoration held at the National Cemetery, during which Taps was played every 1/2 hour.Painted light onto tombstones and tree. Aw, you guys do miss me! Sorry I haven't been on, but I still can't use my R hand. Thought I'd update since I got so many emails and private well wishes. I'm hanging in there, started PT 3x/wk, and can't wait to be able to use my cameras again (or just hold a cuppa coffee or a pen!). Again, if you're bitten or scratched by a cat, GO DIRECTLY TO THE ER!! The life you save may be your own.

A performance I shot for The Stylistics Review feat. Van Fields, and including my dear friend Dr. Salaam Love. We all had lots of fun backstage too, in our dressing room (yep, I shared it with them), the meet-and-greet, and even during sound check. These are in no particular order, only because I just don't have time to rearrange them right now. What a great night, thanks to amazingly talented and fun people! Looks like I'll be busy with them - they've got upcoming concerts in lots of venues. Time to get that new battery pack!

An Orionid meteor, late Sat/early Sun. Incredibly hard to shoot. I don't have stacking software yet so I chose to catch what I could in a single frame instead of stacking many. Will You Photo Walk on October 13, 2012?
Our goal is to get as many walkers in the +Scott Kelby Worldwide Photo Walk to sign up  for this event, and share their Photo Walk experience with Google+ . Q of the Day: When one has been "unplugged" and (gasp!) has barely even touched her camera for months, how does one get back into it all?? I enjoyed not feeling the need to log in daily and keep up (mostly because I just couldn't, due to so much demand on my time), but I miss my G+ friends, and I have soooo much to catch up on. So I'm wondering: Is there an app for that???
