I was getting Alana ready for Caleb's kindergarten graduation and she looked in the mirror, tossed her hair, and said, "All of the people are going to look at me because I'm so pretty!" We're really going have our hands full with this one when she grows up, she says stuff like that all the time, lol.

Man, I was doing so well eating healthy and keeping up with a routine with my workouts for months. Then, my body decided to crap out and force me to take 4 days off! So, I decided to just go ahead and eat a whole bag of KitKats while I was at it...

When I started using organic products several years ago, my husband was not on board. In fact, he made fun of me at Whole Foods for purchasing organic sunscreen and then continued to make fun of me the whole way to the beach and even while he was putting it on. I still remember him randomly slapping it on his back and saying that he didn't need my help because he was only using it to prove a point and going on and on about how much the crap sucked. Well, guess who's a believer now ;) 

Oh, and I REALLY suggest switching everything you possibly can to #organic   :)

I guess it's Fibromyalgia awareness day (and apparently it's so rare that Google still doesn't recognize the spelling of it, lol) so I decided to share this because most of you don't know; but, I was diagnosed with Fibromyalgia shortly after a car accident in my early twenties. I suffered from every symptom possible of the disease. At first, I just accepted that I was going to live a life of pain. Then, I began to change my diet and saw a significant change in the symptoms. But, when I got pregnant with Alana, it triggered other pregnancy related diseases and my body was completely depleted. Now, 3 years later, I am still working hard to build back all of the muscle loss and get excited over the small milestones, like being able to do 1 full men's style push-up, lol. I love how everyone likes to tell you how important it is as a mom to take time for yourself. Yeah, how are you supposed to do that? Even when you finally figure out how to schedule something in and are preparing to leave, your daughter decides to get off the bus and say, "Oh yeah mom by the way I have a band concert tonight."

This is a picture that's going to be worked into part of his album design. 

You can also view it on his website (http://www.meezymusic.com/meezy-the-truth.html) and listen to his music while you're there. He's come so far in life. From his mom being murdered when he was a child and his dad in prison for murder to hustling the wrong way to having a much more positive view on life and message now. Plus, my best friend's daughter sings the background vocals on one of the songs :)

Lex was trying to get the tv to turn on and she kept pushing the button too quickly so it was turning off right after it turned on. So, I told her to move because I was going to use the remote and she wasn't standing in front of the tv. But, she refused and said, "I can't until it turns on." Completely intrigued I asked, "And why is that?" To which she replied, "Because I just hit the button and I have to stand here until it works." I was so confused so I asked the natural question, "Why?" And her answer was, "Because right here next to the button it says 'stand by.'" LOL!!!

Thank God that I read an interview with Pink yesterday in which she was talking about her childhood and the way she acted and about how her mom took it personal when really it was just her being her! Somehow even though Lex has missed like 20 homework assignments this year and has set time after school every day to do homework and has had after school detention and lost out on a chance to go to the school camp, she still chose to not turn in another assignment! And, the best part is, she comes home excited about the band going to Kennywood at the end of the month and shows me all these good grades she got and asks if she can take her ipod on the bus. So, I responded, "Well, there's a lot of time between now and then so we'll just have to wait to see your grades and actions before I can commit to anything." She said, "Oh good! Entitlement is when someone feels as if people owe him things or special treatment simply because he exists. People with this character trait feel entitled to privileges, special treatment, things other people have, respect, love, or whatever else they want. And when they do not get what they want they feel that the one who is not giving it to them is "wrong." They protest as if they were a victim of bad treatment from the other person, organization, God, or whoever has the desired object. They carry around the feeling of "you should" and they are always demanding something from someone. 

If you give something to entitled envious people, it profits them or you nothing. They just feel as if you have finally paid your debt to them.

I decided to make Lexi clean out her drawers while she was confined to her room and she happily yelled, "Hey mommy! I found my SpongeBob shirt!" To which I replied, "See Lex that's my point. When something is in your drawer you should not be thinking that you found it, that should be the normal place for it to be."

My oldest daughter earned herself the first grounding to her room ever, in nearly 12 years, and she thinks we are so awful that she planned an escape to runaway. She even wrote me a note about how awful and strict we were because we expected her to do homework and not get after-school detention and gave her chores (which she can make nearly 40 a week if she does them) and expect her to tell the truth. She told me that she was just going to leave for a few days and come back when we learned that we were being too unfair. I guess she thinks that living in Sargus would be better than living here (this is where I'm going to insert +Kimi Fernatt's Mama Harper face) :/

Before when I would see someone that I grew up with and liked would delete me, I would wonder what was wrong with me... Now, I wonder what's wrong with them, LOL! And, when I discover people that I hardly even know in life and I've never even spoken to have me blocked (which oddly happens quite often), I wonder why they aren't in a mental instutition, haha, jk

Oh, but the best part is when I run into them in person and they all act like they are my best friend. I used to smile and just be nice; but, I'm starting to think I should just ask, "You don't like me so why are you even talking to me?" LOL

No matter what I go through in life, Eminem has gone through it too and written a song to help, lol... even more proof that I'm the female, Christian, non-rapping version of him ;)

I guess if He can come out with a new album after this then I can pick the mic back up too, lol, I guess I can attempt to conquer my stage freight and overcome all of the rejection I've faced and audition for X Factor. I think I've officially given up singing in a "church" though.

I should have probably never ran track in high school if, still to this day, when I see a track I think, "Thank God I don't have to do that any more." I tried to quit once when I was still at Bellaire; but, I still remember Keith Pitts calling me a quitter and harassing me over it for weeks. And, since I was still that little doormat who tried to keep everyone but me happy, I stuck it out and continued to run even after I switched schools. But, my attitude showed in my skill, I was much slower and way more miserable. If they could have fired me, they would have, lol.

This is a great site if you are seeking some answers. I found the answer to my problem, that I was talking about earlier today, on here. Well, technically, I found it on several other more in depth, harder to understand sites first. Then, I found this one that simplified it for crazy dummies (you have to read it to understand, lol) like me. So, I figured I'd save you guys all the hard work and just share it with you to begin with :)

HOW does my butt keep getting bigger??? Yet, my clothes keep getting looser and looser! You know what I hate?!?! That nothing I read/study on health/fitness explains my body! First of all, I can't stand how people always teach that if you change your diet and exercise that you will lose weight! I changed my diet to all organic, mostly veggies, and I gained 20 pounds! Then, I started exercising and gained more! Not everybody is overweight to begin with! And, don't get me started on those "Get a 6 pack in 6 weeks" titles! I means seriously, a person who weighs 300 pounds or heck not even every person who 130 pounds or less can be guaranteed to achieve those results!

This is absolutely heartbreaking! As most of you know I struggled with suicide for the first few decades of my life and I know how hard it is to admit that or get help (that really works) being a Christian because, once people hear that you are a believer, they automatically assume that means you are perfect or that you should be perfect and if you aren't then you aren't truly a believer. And, the Christians who do allow you to be imperfect often try to shove you into a one size fits all box that often does not have the answer you need because they have never truly experienced your pain and they simply just do not truly understand enough to help. It's very easy to get trapped into the game of trying to play along because you know that if you don't then you could be ridiculed and shunned; but, if you do not get uncomfortably real with yourself, God, and others then freedom isn't even a... more »
