Just signed up for the Google Music 30-day trial. They want to give Spotify a go. I'm willing to give them that opportunity.

The one thing I miss so far is the tie-in into Pitchfork. I used that app to find new music.

Had a problem upgrading the T42 to the latest Ubuntu. Only get desktop now, with no ability to access anything but the terminal. After surfing the net, couldn't find a solution that actually worked. Tried booting from an 11.04 CD and it failed, big time.

So, back to XP on the craptop. Installed Chrome and called it a day. That's all we'll use on it. Maybe will put Avast on it tonight.

Going back to XP is always fun, just because it requires an update to all drivers prior to accessing the internet. Glad I burned that driver CD the last time I had to do this.

I've started to brew beer. On a small scale. I've worked with 2 brew kits so far. The first was a West Coast Pale Ale, which was bottled in December. The second was a Blonde Ale, which was bottled in January.

Last night, I opened up one of the Blondes, as it had been conditioning for 3 weeks. Figured I'd give it a try.

This is the +Go Media Podcast studio. Yes, it's our glass-walled conference room. Some soundproofing panels in the right corner and behind me (in gray, with the headphones on).

This is from Episode 6 which will be released next week. Bill (red polo) and +Jeff Finley (red plaid) are the main hosts using Samson U2Qs. Our guests this week, Jesse Sloan and Todd Gauman, shared another mic. This week, we talked about WMCFest.com's upcoming event.

We're using a Behringer x1204usb mixer, a standard Dell laptop to record (Audacity) and stream (Mixlr), and I am using a Nexus 7 for my show notes. Also, recording to a Zoom H2.

Podcast recording will be out on Wednesday.

On a podcast I help with, we want to give people an incentive to donate to us to help pay for operating costs (hosting, etc).

My thought is to basically say that, with each donation, you are put in the running for a free T-Shirt or a ad spot on the show or something. It's kind of like a raffle ticket, really.

Is that within the law (#Ohio and #Michigan specifically)? Can anyone assist?

I'm looking for an inexpensive external wav/mp3 recorder that I can hook my mixer into with a line out. I've used the Zoom H2 and have heard good things about the H4N, but what about the Tascam DR-05?

It's got pretty good reviews on Amazon and is under $90 for prime users. Curious if anyone else has had any experience with it.

And today is the day that most everyone has been looking forward to: The day that the Browns fire Pat Shurmur, who never really had a chance of doing anything in 2 years anyways.

Whether it's a QB or a coach, seems like the fans and the Cleveland media won't let anyone have a legitimate chance here. But who knows, maybe with a new coach that could change? Unlikely.

Hey, you think if we get a new coach, like Gruden and Cowher, they'll be here longer than 2 years? You know, so that they have some possibility of being successful? Or is this just the endless cycle that we'll always be in?

Running 10.1 on my Captivate. Love everything about it, except for the constant shut downs. Even with "Stay Alive" -like apps, it still will shut down randomly throughout the day. Not sure how to resolve as it's definitely a phone issue, not a OS issue. Anyone have any luck?

For all those hip to the +CyanogenMod game, I've got an issue with 10 (including nightlies) and the Google Search app (downloaded from http://goo.im/gapps) on a Captivate. Every time I open the search (including voice search), it unexpectedly stops. I've got the rest of the phone exactly where I want it so I don't want to do a clean wipe and re-flash both CM10 and Gapps.

Any other way of fixing it or do I need to start over?
