I noticed yesterday that my body is almost back to how it looked when I was 16, back when I didn't work out at all and would hit Carl's Jr. AND Taco Bell in one afternoon. Now I hardly eat and work out at the gym at 5am.

Just made chocolate chip muffins from scratch - fresh out of the oven. Mmmmmmm! I used this recipe, but instead of 1 cup yogurt, I used 1/2 cup of cream cheese. They turned out SO tasty.

I always wanted to volunteer at our local Habitat for Humanity. I think it's a great idea to bring people together to actually create a home for someone in need, and it would also be a fun experience to volunteer on a weekend. Wrong.
I checked into it, and apparently they are now motivated by greed. They don't want your help, they want your cash. I thought the motivation was actually to get people together to share their knowledge and time to built a house? If you actually want to help with construction, your only day would be Wednesday, and you would have to take a day off work. This is after you take time off the previous Thursday to attend their mandatory orientation. Unless, of course, you volunteer as a team, which means you have to bring 10 volunteers and donate $1,000 THEN you can help on a Saturday. SMH.

Now, when you go into your settings, scroll down a bit and find two new boxes to uncheck - Auto Enhance and Auto Awesome. If you leave them checked, New Google will have their way with you.

This brought back memories - I had forgotten that Banana Republic was nothing like it is now. I used to get their little catalog in the 80's and remember that it was just drawings of everything - no photos! It was kind of mocked on Seinfeld, Elaine's boss owned a similar company and was always using verbose descriptions for the most utilitarian clothing.

Another great documentary on Netflix streaming. Wayne White was responsible for the set of Pee Wee's Playhouse and lots of other videos and shows in the 80's and early 90's. Love his story and his current work - definitely worth a watch.
