I'll have more information on this soon, but for now here's what I know about a vanilla HTC One coming to the US soon.

I'm not totally sure how I feel about this. I'm pretty sure most of the things that I really like about the One rely on HTC's software.

With Dan Rosenberg (djrbliss) close to releasing a bootloader unlock for the AT&T and Verizon versions of the Galaxy S IV, does it matter that Samsung announced Developer Editions of its flagship device for both carriers? +Jeff McIntire thinks so, especially if you're into paying full retail these days to hold onto your grandfathered unlimited data plans.

Do you still use Amazon's Appstore on your device? If so, do you use it mostly for the Free App of the Day? Amazon released a full-integer update to its controversial Appstore, bumping the version number up to 5.0. Did the update bring a Holo-style UI? Is it still a drain on battery life and RAM? +Mike Lewis provides the answers.

When it became clear last fall that the CIA’s now discredited Benghazi talking points were flawed, the White House said repeatedly the documents were put together almost entirely by the intelligence community, but White House documents reviewed by Congress suggest a different story.

Remember when we posted that the next Nexus 7 will be powered by a Snapdragon processor instead of NVIDIA's Tegra chipset? Yesterday, a memo by KGI Securities analyst Ming-Chi Kuo has come to light indicating that the Snapdragon of choice will be an APQ8064 S4 Pro (of course, ZDNet pegged this particular Snapdragon for the 2013 Nexus 7 back in February).

This might not even be the most interesting spec included in this latest rumor, though. Also included in the spec list are a 1920x1200 Full HD display, and several even more interesting specs as explained by +Jeff McIntire.

Did you get the Kingston Wi-Drive to simplify file sharing among your devices? Did you wish you could get the same functionality without the predetermined storage limit? If so, Kingston's new Mobilite Wireless card reader and external battery may be your answer. In the wake of T-Mobile's move away from two-year contracts, Verizon decided to go the other way, eliminating early upgrade eligibility and tying you to your subsidized phones for the full 24 months going forward. Oh, and in case you thought that would be grounds for getting out of your contracts without paying an early termination fee, think again. Verizon noted that the actual terms and conditions of your contract never specified upgrade eligibility dates, so your contract hasn't actually changed. Perhaps Verizon thinks its network quality will keep you from switching carriers... +Kevin Ethridge has the details...
