The promise of the flying car has been just around the car for a long time now. 

This proposed car, the TF-X by Terrafugia, holds the promise of finally delivering.  In many respects it works similar to  the Marine Corps V-22 Osprey. It has vertical take-off and landing. This allows the vehicle to take-off from a helipad or parking lot and hence does not require a runway. Unfortunately we are still a decade away from seeing this in production.

Someone just left a very sweet review of "Sorrows of Adoration" on the Smashwords page.  Unfortunately they also set it as one star, which I suspect is an error (since the text of the review is so positive).

Sadly, this means that it will now be listed at the bottom of Smashwords lists, which may have just severely impacted how much it will be able to help as a marketing tool to spur sales of "Finding Gaia".  Because even though SoA is free, if nobody finds it other than through me, the point of making it free is gone.

It's not someone I know either, so I can't even ask them if they can fix it. :(

Love Hurts First Aid

Melanie Chernock, created this nifty set of first response essentials for a broken heart ( I do not have have to insert a wink here, right?) Too bad it is not for sale. 

_Love Hurts was created based on an assignment to make an activity book. I thought it would be more interesting to make a sort of activity kit instead. From there, I came up with the concept of Love Hurts: A first aid kit for a broken heart. Initially, I knew that I did not want to make a kit of sadness and wanted to approach the product with a sense of humor. Can scientists appreciate beauty? Over 30 years ago, physicist Richard Feynman claimed that a scientist can see more beauty in a flower than an artist. Since then, science and art have combined to bring the meaning of his words to life.

Since Feynman was interviewed in 1981, the field of digital photomicrography has flourished. The "beauty at smaller dimensions" that Feynman spoke about has now been illuminated by high magnification images which enhance both scientific understanding and are often works of art in themselves. Such images and techniques have provided a rich source of inspiration for artists. Sanders says: "I have always loved the minutiae of things. Macro photography has inspired my work."

The New Google+ Interface: Sharing A Photo Album

The album I recently shared about the insect hotel was the first I'd done since yesterday's Google+ user interface change. It took a few minutes to work through the details of it, but what I found was that it's different from before and once you figure it out it's better than it was. Rather than have you have to go through the same discovery process, I figured I'd share the steps I went through. This assumes you have some pictures you took with your phone using Instant Upload, but the process is really similar for pictures on the computer, too. (The numbered instructions correspond to the photos attached to this post.)

1. Select Photos from the left-side selection bar to take you to your photos page.
