Google I/O 2013
Web Languages and VMs: Fast Code is Always in Fashion
By +Nicolas François

We have revived try.dartlang.org.  Compared to the old version, the new version features in-browser compilation, support for dart:html, and works offline.

If you have an iOS device, you can install Try Dart! as an app on your home screen, see http://www.apple.com/ios/add-to-home-screen/

I've been working on this project during my vacation time, but the entire Dart team at Google has helped me with awesome ideas.  Especially, +Nicolas Geoffray +Seth Ladd +Luke Church.  Thank you, guys!

Stylus based tablets are probably the future competition field between Samsung,  Microsoft and similar companies like ASUS.

This ASUS announcement  consists of tablets in various sizes that come with pressure-sensitive styli and use Wacom technology. They are bundled with note-taking, drawing, and image-editing apps that make use of a stylus.

The device is apparently scheduled to be announced by Asus during a June 3 press conference at Computex 2013.

Dear #LMUKDD students. Data visualization, while not part of this class, is another important skill for you to develop. Off the shelf visualizations will only get you half way - in real problems, you will usually need customized visualizations. In the tutorial, I try to visualize how algorithms such as k-means and DBSCAN work; but in essence I have to make this custom to each algorithm.
This short video is quite inspiring, because it shows how diverse visualizations can be. And of course, there are classes on information visualization.
Again, this is a skill that can not be taught all in theory. You need to gather your own practical experiences to develop skills.

Working in Brittany in front of a family Box-Bed

A box-bed (or closed bed, close bed, enclosed bed) is a bed enclosed in furniture that looks like a cupboard, half-opened or not.
The box-bed is closed on all sides by panels of wood. One enters it by removing curtains, opening a door hinge or sliding doors on one or two slides. The bed is placed on short legs to prevent moisture due to a dirt floor.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Box-bed

Except for the ones you find in museums, most of these have been refactored as normal cupboards and people don't use them anymore to sleep! This one is in my living room and come from my family (probably late 18th century).
