New book released today

I promised it would come today, and here it is! It’s entitled “The Crab and the Lamb” (nope, not a children’s book or a cookbook), and is available only as an ebook, on platforms such as Amazon ( http://www.amazon.com/dp/B00A33UK1S ), iTunes ( https://itunes.apple.com/us/book/the-crab-and-the-lamb/id577007123?mt=11&uo=4 ), Barnes & Noble, etc., and will be coming very soon to Google Play, Kobo and others. No “DRM” (the digital protection system that’s a pain in the %$#&). I’m extremely honored that Adriana Hunter ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Adriana_Hunter ) read it and accepted to translate it. An average reader will need about an hour and a half to read through it, and it costs the equivalent of about 3 US dollars depending on the platform and the country. New book to be released on Friday, quick teaser
Just a quick note to pre-announce my first incursion into literature (no, this isn’t a comic book :-) ). It will be released this Friday, only as an ebook (on platforms by Amazon/Kindle, Apple, Google, etc.), both in French (original version) and in English: I’m extremely lucky that Adriana Hunter (who has translated many very well known contemporary French authors) read my prose and accepted to translate it. It will be sold for about 3 dollars depending on platforms and countries. See you this Friday! :-)

On March 11th, 2011, there was Fukushima. Since then, few have dared to visit Japan. Many of my friends have cancelled their trips. When I tell them that now is precisely the time when one should go to the archipelago, out of solidarity and to prove that it isn’t a plagued land, they reply that the risk is too high. “But the Japanese haven’t fled their country!” I have said repeatedly. With a sideways glance, they reply that those poor people are the target of misinformation. It seems like any excuse will do in order to doubt not only the intelligence of the Japanese, but also their courage.

I just flew from Shanghai to Paris, and a slightly delayed boarding gave me some time to take pictures of the airport's ceiling, which has hypnotized me every time I visited it. Looking at it upside down, one could imagine many things: a huge war cemetery with really simple tombstones, or lots of small fields delimited by electrified barriers (I would almost see some cows in between!)...
