A lone bare tree in Glacier National Park. The winds in Glacier can get so fierce, the branches grow in the direction the wind blows. An incredible sight to see.

San Diego skyline as seen from Coronado Island

This is what I was initially planning to submit for Landscape category in +Chrysta Rae's Photography Scavenger Hunt ! I so wish I had stuck to my original plan.. sad face

I didn't because I thought its not so much of a natural landscape. Any thoughts ?? 

Editing to tag +Sairam Sundaresan  We were planning to meet him for sunset that day and it didn't happen and I was so bummed about it . Most of our day was spent in the car, and I felt it was a very productive day. To compensate for the missed photo opportunities, we picked up our daughter who was almost asleep (It was 11PM) and headed to Coronado island. I am glad we did it, because this is my most favourite picture from the trip. I know you cant go wrong with such a scene, still ....:)

The Sentinels: Joshua Tree National Park

I took this one over the weekend at JTNP with my buddies +Garry McCarthy and +J. Rae Chip , and my new buddy +Kimber The Dog . It was a perfect night for photography in many ways. The weather was nice, there were some interesting clouds, and most of there were beautiful stars. We had lots of laughs, and learnt a lot from our local astro master +Garry McCarthy about shooting in the dark, light painting and what not. When we got here it was a little past 4am in the morning. Until then, we had been shooting the meteors and the milkyway at the famous arch rock. I always wanted to shoot this rock and tree. Thanks to Garry for making it happen! I am stoked to be the first place winner in the April Photo Challenge - Selective Colors/Textures.

I would like to thank my hubby for getting my first DSLR camera six years ago and an upgrade with a lighting studio this year.

If I would have one wish I would ask for a
Smc PENTAX-DA 1,4 (maybe 1.7) x AF Adapter
to allow use old manual lenses on my Pentax K-5 with some AF functionality.
That would give the whole Pentax systems a push as no other camera brand has so many good manual lenses around.

I was travelling an unkown sector of the F'rc tall sector of the galaxy.
Suddenly, out of a field of meteors there was this structure appearing.
I guess it was only consists out of energy...
but I did was able to explore it further, as all my instruments get defect..
I'm glad that I could have travelled back savely.

Bridge to the Mothership: Bixby Bridge, Big Sur

Finally, I got to see the beautiful Milky Way again. Its' been so many months since I went out for a night shoot so I was itching to go again. This is the famous Bixby Bridge in Big Sur.

I've seen tons and tons of pictures of this Bridge taken at sunset or twilight. Now, I wanted a picture of the bridge for myself, and I wanted one that was unique. The solution? Simple. Put the Milky Way on top of the bridge. I know this shot hasn't been done as often :)
